Reincarnation? More like Transported.

"Where am I? What is this place?" When Jack is inside the elevator, waiting it to open, an unexpected drowsiness attack his consciousness. Without the strength to repel the urge to sleep, he collapse to the floor of elevator.

After that he woke up at the dead center of dry land with full of big rocks. Expecting to find a civilization, even a village atleast, he continues to walk still hoping.

"This is not good. That Mr. Saint Peter, didn't really reincarnate me, he transport me to another world. Not only there's no people here, this lonely place is still dark. I wonder if I will see some monsters here." He didn't realize that he's walking now a week ago and still didn't meet anything. Time flows weirdly in this place.

"It's a good thing that I didn't get hungry. Haha maybe because I obtain the one thing, that my good friends and my otaku fellow wants to achieve. The main character treatment!" Reincarnation or Transported to another world? Jack doesn't care about those things. So long as he can use his second chance properly, he will live without regrets.

*BOOOM! ROOAAR!*

"Wait, what's that noise? A monster?" He runs with care in the direction of the noise, hoping his expectation is on the mark.

When Jack was almost at the vicinity, his jaw dropped when he saw a humanoid being with horns and tails, hooves as his feet with a skin color of blood and a four legged carnivore with two heads and sharp teeth fighting against each other without a care in their surroundings.

Fear courses through in his veins. But that fear did not become a shackle. He moves fast and quiet behind the big rock and observe the fight of two monsters. Now, he noticed that the humanoid has a lot of lacerations in its body and the carnivore has a lot of burn marks in its two faces.

While the two monsters fighting to the death, a huge skeleton wearing a robe with a 5 feet long, double edge sword as a weapon, appears. He shamelessly intrudes the fight and with a big swing, he slash the two monsters horizontally.

A satisfied smile in the face of skeleton even without a muscle in its face. It looks at the direction of a certain big rock, where Jack was hiding. "Puny soul." After that, he walks away in the vicinity like it never happens.

If only there's no carcasses lying in the ground, he will believe that this is a dream. No, a nightmare. "Damn, this is not good. Yes, I expect to meet some monsters, but only goblins. To find some strong monsters here, am I in a dungeon with nightmare difficulty? Am I in dark souls world now?" He is not a masochist. He always plays RPG with easy difficulty since he only wants to know the story and the lore of the game.

Now that he doesn't have a choice, he went to the carcasses if there's a loot that he could gain. As he walk near the carcasses, it suddenly disintegrated to dust and spreads away, leaving a two red crystals.

"Now this is what you called a loot. But what's this use anyway? A mana generator?" He picked up the two red crystals and inspect it hoping to find some clues on what kind of crystals is this.

*sniff* *sniff* *licks*

"Wow, I didn't expect that this crystals is somehow sweet. I can't believe that this crystals came from the terrifying monsters." He gobbles the crystals until there's nothing left. Not getting hungry doesn't mean he doesn't have an appetite. If someone see him licking until he can eat the crystals, he will called a crazy person that always inhaling a marijuana.

"Ha... Haha! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

After he do the three steps of laughter, he calms down to analyze what he acquired. "Now I'm convinced, I'm really in a dungeon. Consuming the monsters crystals will make me acquire there abilities. Skeleton guy, thank you for providing me a good loots. Mr. Saint Peter, thank you for transporting me into this world."

While he still contemplate on what he can achieve from here on out, a wild giant bird appears in the sky. The bird saw Jack standing without moving, a perfect prey. It dashed in his direction with unbelievable speed.

A few meters away, he finally see the incoming giant bird. Out of panic, he raised his hands forward as a mechanism to protect himself. Coincidentally, he shoot out a blazing flame in his palms, making the giant bird a roasted chicken.

"To think that I will use my new powers the moment I get it. Such luck! But I can't always depend on this luck, I need to master this flame, since this is my only attack ability." But before he did that, he went to the bird's carcass until it disintegrate into dust. He reach the remaining crystal and he gobbles it without thinking.

"Okay, Let's do this." He place his hands forward. "FLAME ON!" Suddenly, a scarlet flame shoots out at his palms like a flame thrower. With a satisfied look, he tried to do it in his fingers. He also tried if he can shoot a fireball. All the moves that he can imagine, he do it all, even if he still out in the open, without a care in the world.

*sigh*

"So it's impossible to cloak yourself with flames. Atleast I won't have to worry about my burned clothes." With a positive look and full of hope, he continues to walk until he can find some monsters to kill.

"First, I'm going to kill a lot of monsters and absorb there crystals, so I can protect myself and become stronger. Second, I need to get out of this nightmare dungeon and reunite with a civilization." he declared to himself.

While walking in the vast of wasteland, he suddenly saw a sleeping bear like monster at the corner of his eyes.

"Target confirmed, but to think it's a bear. I can't underestimate this monster." On earth, the bears possess immense strength capable of decapitating a full grown moose with a single strike of its paw.

*Breathe in* *Breathe out*

"Right now, I'm not a warrior, I'm an assassin. I have to kill this goddamn bear without waking it up." Jack only has a one shot. If he can't kill it in one move, he will have no choice but to fight it to the death. Which is the worst case.

"Hmmm. Maybe can do this. Okay, It's all or nothing."

He approach the bear with confidence and patience. Now that he is so close, he can hear a loud snore coming from its nose. Confirming that he didn't disturb its sleep, he went to the back of the bear and clasp his hand with a protruding four fingers.

"Thousand years of pain!"

*poke*

"Flame on!"

Before the bear can react to the pain that comes from its anus, a sudden burning flame envelops inside it. Not a minute passed, the bear already consumed by fire without knowing why it died.

"I can't always do this. Still depending on luck huh, but better than nothing. I need to grow faster as fast as I can or sooner or later, I will die here."

After it disintegrates, Jack approach it and found a deep red, close to maroon color crystal. Not only that, he needs two hands so that he can pick it up.

"Such good luck, this means that the monsters have some kind of hierarchy, and this bear somehow stronger than the monsters that I meet earlier." Without further ado, he licks it until he can devour it.

During his long walk, boredom took over his mind when he realize that he can't find a single monster.

"Fude pen FUFU! Furueru FUFU! Hajimete kimi e no GREETING CARD!" Singing while walking, sometimes skipping. What Jack wants is to attract some monsters, whether it's strong or weak. All he needed is to disturb them, make them go out, so he can kill it with spitfire.

"Please don't say 'you are LAZY'! datte hontou wa CRAZY!"

*shock*

He suddenly stops singing after he found a cave. "And here I thought this dungeon is only a wasteland." An opportunity knocks his doorstep, he's an idiot if he doesn't grab it.

Obviously, he didn't sing while he's wandering inside the cave. He can't imagine such dangers inside this cave, maybe he run out his luck and died without anyone knowing.

*breathe in* *breathe out*

"Okay, think of this as a fun trip. Remember, you need this to become stronger. All I have to do is to conquer my fears. This is the day that I have to break my limit." Convincing himself is not that hard, this is what he tells himself when he wants to talk to strangers or he's in unfamiliar places.

A few moments later, he found a bear monster again, the same as the one he killed earlier. They glare each other, thinking on how to deal this monster/person. The moment Jack saw the bear inhaled, he already realized what its about to do.

*ROOAAR!* *ROOAAR!*

He countered its threatening roar with the same move, cancelling each other out. To think that this person can produce the same amount of force in his roar, the bear monster is quite shock. Jack didn't wait and take the first move.

"Flame on!"

While the bear is doused in flames, instead it backs off, it dauntlessly moves forward to attack with its paw.

"To think this bear are so ferocious. Thank god I killed it smoothly earlier." He immediately dodge sideways to the incoming paw strike. He realize that his flames didn't affect the bear that much.

"Tsk. So my only option is to burn it inside? I can't do it while its still moving."

'Still moving, huh? hmmm.' For now, Jack wants to distract this bear with flames. Bidding his time and waiting for the opportunity to come.

"Now it's time."

*ROOAAR!*

Suddenly, the bear struck with fear, its whole body became so heavy and it shivers slightly. Without wasting his time, he dash at the back of the bear and plunged it with thousand years of pain.

"Flame on!"

The bear cannot withstand the intense heat inside its body until it devours it completely.

"Hoho, such bountiful harvest. Another big crystal, coming right up!" He pick up the big red crystal with his two hands and you know the drill.

Waiting.

Still waiting.

"Bountiful harvest? You mean Bountiful crap! I didn't get a single abilities. Damn, to think it's not possible to get abilities if I ate its crystal the second time. Do I really have to find different monsters every single time?" Cursing his own luck, he doesn't have a choice but to move on.
