Chapter 8

"Henry, do not ignore my warning, you will regret it if you do. All these people will die if you do, the little kids will perish, the adults will be sucked dry, she will die. Let me take over your body, I can stop it from happening. I'm not a demon Henry, I'm a dragon, there is a big difference. If I take over your body, you will not turn into a monster." Yamata finishes.

"How do I know that's true? How do I know you're not saying that to trick me? What would happen to me if you take control of my body?" I ask.

All of his heads give me a smile, "Well first, your eyes would change color, next your hair would turn white. Your power would increase dramatically, along with your speed. You would be the strongest man on earth, nothing could stop you."

"That does sound tempting, but I'm afraid I'll have to pass."

Knocking takes me away from my slumber, who could it be? I get up from the bed and put a shirt on and go see who it is. I look through the peephole. Abel? I quickly unlock the door, "Abell, is that you?"

He gives me a smile, "Henry, it's been a while, how've you been?" He says as he pulling out a cigar and lights it.

"Really? You couldn't have done that before you got here, I don't want my place smelling like ass," I complain.

"Well, I am your elder, not only that, I could still whoop your ass, so respect me," he says grinning. I sigh and motion him in. "So I hear you took on one of the members of the Conference Room. That was dumb, they're really powerful," he says giving me a sad look.

"Well, not powerful enough, the dude didn't stand a chance when I called on my sword."

"That's the problem, you should've been able to beat him without your swords abilities. I taught you better than that, you cou-" A knock interrupts him.

"Hold that thought," I say as I walk over to the door. I look through the peephole and to my surprise it's Amelia. I open the door, "We need to talk," I sigh and let her in. She goes to the living room where Abel is in. She stops at the sight of Abel, he just gives her a smile and waves her over and whispers something that makes her blush. "Oh come on Abel, don't scare her off,"

"I wasn't I was just asking her about your relationship with her. So, did you do it?"

"Do what exactly?"

"You know, make love,"

"Stop! This conversation is done!" I raise my voice, "So Amelia, what did you want to say?"

"Oh right, because of that little act, the members of the Conference Room have decided that you and my squad have to practically go on a suicide mission, so thanks for that. They've assigned us to exterminate ten of the elite vampires in the 10th district," Amelia states.

"You're kidding," I say ignoring Abel's laugh.

"You know, I could come and help you guys out, I know you're not that skilled Henry," Abel says with a wide grin. I give him a cold glare and sit down. "I mean, I am one of the best soldiers in the army so your chance of victory will increase," Abel finishes.

"That may be true but you're half blind, last I heard, you were beaten by a sergeant with a low tier sword. I think Amelia's team and I will be fine without you,"

"You sure you want to be saying that to your elder boy. I raised you like you were my son, I taught you how to fight, how to command your squad! You sure you really want to be disrespecting me, I could've left you for dead but I didn't!" Abel says raising his voice.

"Amelia, when are and where are we suppose to be meeting?!"

"We're meeting at the front gate at six o'clock," she replies. I walk out of my apartment, towards the roof.
