The Mysterious Mind Cultivation

The students turned to where teacher Jun Yao had pointed, and saw a man as thin as a stick, with an expression of nervousness, and a bit of foolery on his face. Initially, they presumed that this person was some servant conveying the message that teacher Bao Tan would be arriving shortly, but later on, when they eventually realized that this stick-thin man was actually teacher Bao Tan himself, they were pretty shocked.

They tried to hide their shocked expression, and faces full of dismay, to make teacher Bao Tan not feel sad. Even though their relentless efforts and control, they weren't able to pull that trick off, and therefore, they couldn't hide their true nature from him.

However, teacher Bao Tan didn't take this to his heart, and reacted naturally, which was a pretty big feat, considering the fact that he could see the expressions of the students, clear and wide, right in front of him, which were pretty vulgar and unsophisticated, giving off an eerie aura.

Their mouths were open wide, the saliva gathering in their mouths, and eventually, the drool ended leaking out, looking like an overflowing urinal at a public restroom. Their faces were sweaty, and the children looked as if they were rapidly aging, after they had seen a ghost, or something way more hideous, rather than a ghost, which is more frightening than hideous.

Teacher Bao Tan wasn't bothered by the reaction of the students at all, and moved to where teacher Jun Yao was standing, and addressed the students, "Hello students, I am Bao Tan, and I will demonstrate to you the usage of the Mind Cultivation practice activities and equipment kept here. But, first, I will lest you a little bit. I won't be asking you difficult questions, rather, what I will ask you will be related to general knowledge and a person's own opinion. There will be no certain answer for any particular question. You don't have to get freaked out about this test, though."

Teacher Bao Tan was unexpectedly not an idiot, as his appearance suggested. That was a plus-point for the students. They didn't want to hear about the mysterious Mind Cultivation by some dupe and ruin the whole fun.

The students started paying attention because of the test, because when they heard it was about a person's own judgement, they thought that they could give cool answers and become seriously famous in the Academy, especially when the Vice-Principal was standing not far away, just a few feet away, in the same room as them.

Some of the students went a bit too far with their dreams, though, because they thought that if they scored some serious plus-points and caught the Vice-Principal's eye, they could even have a shot at becoming his disciple.

While these idiots were lost in their own dreams, at the other side of the room, three other idiots were having their own thoughts. Ling Shen, the boy who had been previously made a laughing stock, had thought of returning back to his former glory, and become a ruthless leader of the masses, by doing something righteous, this time, without the interference of any old farts.

By this, he sounded very royal, noble and grand, but he actually meant that he would prank teacher Bao Tan by using his secret special weapon, which was sneeze powder, without getting caught by the Vice-Principal.

The sneeze powder was his ultimate, only-for-emergencies secret weapon, that he kept in a small pouch underneath his clothes, (but not inside his underwear) which made it extremely stinky, as well as deadly. Any normal person would be in a seriously horrible and ill state if they felt, tasted, or sniffed the wrath of this horrible weapon.

On the other hand, Ju Yuan was thinking of getting Ling Shen exposed, and become the start of the day. He would be able to badly humiliate Ling Shen, and would also be able to get the glory of being identified as the man who saved the entire class from the wrath of the sneeze powder, and the one who held it as a weapon.

While these two were busy in their own thoughts, the third and final idiot, Tao Xue, was quietly thinking about the Mind Cultivation. After he saw the personality of teacher Bao Tan, which was really carefree, he was a little bit more interested in Mind Cultivation. He wanted to get the same amount of respect and the same amount of money without doing that much work and without harboring that much stress. When he saw teacher Bao Tan, he was relieved that he was a a very carefree and calm person.

The only thing he now needed to know was that if the amount of the work Mind Cultivators like teacher Bao Tan did was less than the other two types of Cultivations, or equal, or surprisingly, even more! It would probably be possible that there would be a cliché, and that the Mind Cultivators actually had the most work among all the three types of Cultivations!

If that would be the case, he would definitely choose one of the other two of the three types of Cultivations. He wanted to be sure of which of the three Cultivations had the least input and the most output after he made any kind of decision on which type of Cultivation he had to choose.

Teacher Bao Tan had reached the place where the people just before these three were, so each of them got ready for their plans, but, somehow, they all got stopped. Teacher Bao Tan tripped, and fell down to the ground with a loud bang.

*THUD!*

Somehow, the three of them had already seemed to figure out that this wasn't an act out of pure co-incidence. After the sudden uproar caused by the little accident had suppressed, teacher Bao Tan suddenly turned his gaze towards Vice-Principal Huan. What actually happened, was, Vice-Principal Huan had actually leaked a bit of his aura, condensed it, and formed it into a spear, and pierced teacher Bao Tan with it. Piercing someone with their aura doesn't cause any physical or mental damage, but, it is just used as a warning sign, a display of power, or a way of intimidating or startling someone, and the third reason was the one that worked for teacher Bao Tan. He understood what the Vice-Principal was conveying him, and while the three fools (Tao Xue, Ju Yuan, and Ling Shen) were in shock, he handed them the tests, and immediately left, before they could recover, and resort to their dirty, underhanded tactics.

When Tao Xue eventually figured out what was going on, he was pretty astonished of the Vice-Principal, again. He put a stop to the acts of him, and both of those ruffians, Ling Shen and Ju Yuan, just in an instant, without even causing the slightest of commotions.

He inwardly thought, looking at the test paper that he was given, "Let's see what this thing is!"
