Journey

"Dawn! What are you doing here?" Ave's voice rang out with a contagious excitement as she enthusiastically waved at me, her beaming smile a welcome sight amidst the swirling uncertainty.

"Hello, Ave. I could ask you the same question. What brings you here?" I replied, matching her smile with one of my own. I needed to be certain, even though the reason for her presence seemed apparent.

"Why else would I be here if not for the coach? I've always wanted to try VR, but my job doesn't pay nearly enough for it," she responded with a touch of resignation, her words carrying the weight of unfulfilled dreams.

Honk Honk

The coach arrived, its sleek design and lightning-blue accents catching my eye. I recognized it as the latest model of the Nova series, Nova Star, priced at a staggering 276,477,574 contribution points, with a conversion rate of 10,000 pounds to 1 contribution point.

As a door materialized beside me, a man with short black hair, piercing blue eyes, and an infectious smile emerged. His charisma was palpable, even from a distance.

"Welcome, everyone! We'll be departing shortly, but please form a line in an orderly fashion and no pushing," he announced cheerfully, gesturing with a welcoming air.

Amidst the surge of people rushing towards us, Ave glanced at me anxiously. "What do we do?" she asked, beads of sweat forming on her forehead.

"Hurry, let's get in," a voice boomed from behind me, causing me to startle. It was him.

"I'm not THAT ugly, am I?" he queried, a mix of surprise and disappointment flashing across his face as he grabbed my hand, leading me into the Nova. Ave followed closely behind.

"Can you please let go?" I managed to stammer, my discomfort palpable.

"Oh, sorry," he responded, withdrawing his hand and nervously scratching the back of his head.

After a while of conversing, we set off. It turned out that he was the son of a prominent business conglomerate—none other than 'New Horizons.' As he shared this revelation, he burst into laughter, undoubtedly amused by the bewildered expressions on our faces.

The journey aboard Nova was remarkably swift, taking a mere 10 minutes to reach our destination. Despite the speed, I managed to catch glimpses of breathtaking scenes—a sighting of the enigmatic Galaxy Whales, each believed to contain a universe within. Their impenetrable skin had thwarted every attempt at investigation, leaving their mysteries intact.

Additionally, I witnessed the birth of a new star, a mesmerizing spectacle resembling a grand fireworks display on an astronomical scale, captivating my senses and stirring a profound sense of wonder within me.
