The first week after Tyler's birth passed by rather uneventfully.
He found out his parent's and sister's names, his father was called Akio Otsutsuki, his mother was Kana Otsutsuki and his sister was called Mio Otsutsuki. Why everyone had Japanese names while he still had his distinctly non-eastern name from his first life was a mystery to him.
Besides learning the names of his close family, nothing eventful happened. He didn't even meet anyone from canon yet and thus had no idea where in the timeline he was supposed to be. Like, did Kaguya already go to the Elemental Nations and eat the God tree's fruit? Is she even born yet? Was she already sealed by her sons or did she get defeated by Naruto and his comrades in the final fight?
Of course all of that is assuming that this isn't some kind of strange AU where Kaguya never existed or never left to get the fruit…
Talking about non-cannon, he always thought the Otsutsuki from the original Naruto very closely resembled cultivators that had ascended to immortals and traveled the universe in search of opportunities to break through, now that he was one himself and got to meet some more in person, he thought that this was very close to the truth.
His current theory was that a very distant ancestor of theirs was actually a cultivator. Not only that, but he must have cultivated some very powerful and mysterious techniques to the apex which engrained them so deeply into his being that they eventually got passed down to his decedents in the form of a bloodline. From what he could tell the Otsutsuki did not know about this and their use of heavenly energy was crude at best. None of them where even in the Immortal Realm.
They extended their lifespans by absorbing that of others using one of their bloodline's abilities.
Admittedly, this was quite handy in the earlier stages, but it would be worthless in front of true Immortal Realm cultivators. In his second life, Tyler chose to cultivate his longevity first before working on becoming un-killable. After all, what use is there in never being killed if you would die of old age before you could ascend to the God Realm? This time however, he was thinking about doing the opposite.
He could, after all, extend his lifespan whenever he wanted by absorbing someone else's, and being un-killable did have a nice ring to it.
Absorbing other's life force would also help him cultivate the Immortal Realm's longevity branch much faster.
Tyler: 'So it's decided.'
Having lots of time to waste as a baby, he started cultivating. Gathering the Heavenly Energy, which people here seemed to call Natural Energy, he started using it to temper his body. Having already completely refined his body before he was even born made cultivating much easier and faster than it would have been even with the heaven defying Otsutsuki bloodline and he quickly reached the Soul Gathering Realm, where he noticed a huge blessing, as well as an annoying problem. It seemed his soul had strengthened beyond even the Soul Ascension Realm, but not quite reaching the Soul Synchronization Realm, unfortunately however, his soul was damaged, making it impossible to ascend past the God Realm's Core-Longevity Realm and reach Soul Synchronization before his soul was healed.
Tyler: 'That's still a long way away. Heck, I haven't even been in this world for more than a week and already reached the Immortal Realm's Core Gathering stage, effectively making me un-killable by anyone in the Otsutsuki clan, except maybe Kaguya after she eats the God fruit. Unless there is some threat stronger than the Otsutsuki, there should be more than enough time to heal my soul. Not to mention, I could potentially use the rinnegan to absorb souls and heal mine once I awaken it.'
With those thoughts he continued cultivating in silence.
