10 years later ...

"Alik, have you seen my daughter? I haven't seen her since breakfast," the Duke said who was busy tidying up his suitcase.

He was finally taking his daughter to the capital and this made him nervous. Her daughter hasn't been out of the mansion very much and she was already the target of many.

"Why are you here? Go find her," the Duke said to Alik.

"Yes, m'lord," Alik said and left.

The Duke sighed. Alik had never aged because he was an elf. He made the right choice to keep him beside his beloved daughter.

Alik found Elizabeth in her room, brushing her hair. He had seen her grow up, ever since she was born to turning 18.

Elizabeth turned towards the door and saw Alik there.

"My father sent you away again, didn't he?" her voice was the most soothing of all. Her brown long hair just resting above her waist and her thick long eyelashes made her brown eyes stand out even more.

The crown prince would go crazy for her.

"Yes, he did. He said he hasn't seen you since breakfast," Alik said.

"It's because I had breakfast in my room, can he just stop being so overprotective?"Elizabeth laughed.

"I'm afraid he can't, m'lady. He's your father after all," Alik replied.

She wouldn't dare go on an adventure because she was finally going to the capital. She was going to see the Crown Prince once again. She wondered what would he look like.

As she approached the mansion's entrance door, her father greeted her.

"Where were you? I was searching for you all morning?" her father said with his hands on his waist.

"I was just in my room. Go ask the maids if it is true," Elizabeth said as she wrapped her arms around her father.

"Alright, alright. Your things are already in the carriage. Let's go now. We wouldn't want the Emperor and the Empress to wait now, do we?" her father said as he helped her get inside the carriage.

She was overwhelmed with excitement but she didn't show this since her father has known her to be a reserved lady. She hasn't seen the Crown Prince for almost 10 years.

Many thoughts were running through her mind. What would he look like now? Would he recognize me?

"Father, will he recognize me?" Elizabeth asked.

"Who will, my dear?" her father asked as he didn't understand her daughter.

"Will the Crown Prince recognize me?" Cordelia asked as she smiled.

Her father was astonished as he finally saw his daughter's beautiful smile. Only meeting the prince would put excitement in her heart.

"Yes, he will, my dear. Yes, he will," her father replied.

Meanwhile, in the palace grounds, the Crown Prince was busy feeding his dragon, Nalrene, when the Empress approached him.

"Son, why are you still in your work clothes?" his mother asked.

Edward, who forgot what was happening, was confused.

"Why? Is there a special event?" Edward asked.

"Your future wife is coming. You wouldn't want her to see you like, would you?" the Empress asked.

Hearing that his future wife was coming, he turned towards his mother.

"Liz is coming? Why haven't you told me?" Edward asked as he proceeded to mount his dragon.

"Your butler told you but he said you didn't listen. Go, get change. They will arrive soon," the Empress said.

'Take me to my room, Nalrene,' he said to his dragon.

'As you wish, your highness,' the dragon then flapped his gigantic wings, making the Empress step back.

After they landed on his huge terrace, he then changed into his princely attire.

He then turned towards his dragon to ask for his opinion.

"Do I look good? Will she recognize me in this clothes?" he asked Nalrene.

"She will, your highness," Nalrene replied.

The dragon has never seen his master this excited and it made him happy.
