RANK 0 SPELL
Tomorrow morning, Max wake up and still eat specialized breakfast at the cafeteria. He ate with Dorothy and Bucca.
Cassius not at the table because he always went out on a mission after promoted to rank 1 Mage Apprentice. He reached rank 1 a month ago like Bucca and Dorothy with grade A talent managed to become rank 1 Mage Apprentice three months before them.
After breakfast, Max with heavy footsteps walks to Uriel's office at 250th floor. He knocked the door and stated his name. Unlike the second time he here, the door opened directly after Max finished saying his name.
In the middle of the garden full of beautiful flowers like an otherworld paradise, a cold silver-haired woman sat and stared at Max nicely. As Max reached rank 2, his resistance towards the ice succubus improved.
"Good day Master. I come to report the success of my promotion to rank 2 Mage Apprentice last night" Max informed.
"The next level is 100 magic crystals," she said icily.
Max sighed. Over the half year, Uriel gave many resources to Max for free and those are worth over thousands of magic crystal but she still asked 100 magic crystal for next level method.
Max did a lot of missions and managed to save over 300 magic crystals but today he will spend a third of his total saving.
Max reluctantly pass the pouch containing 100 magic crystals to Uriel before she handing an over the method.
After the transaction, Max wants to say more but coldly chased away by Uriel.
"Master Uriel, I wish to take a mission outside to temper myself"
"Denied! Focus on getting to rank 3 within a year!"
Max can only leave the room crestfallen.
"Uriel's attitude is very strange indeed. If I am a descendant of Grade 2 or Grade 3 Mage like Raynard and Minerva, it made sense to be showered with resources but I'm obviously not. Did she fall in love with me? Impossible! Mage is a rational creature. They only do things that only benefit them."
"SECOND! Compile all Uriel's book and analyze it.

Max cheer himself up when walking to his next destination, the Trading Post. He finally gets to play with the spell.
Before he slept yesterday, SECOND already has shown three spells that compatible with him but he too mentally exhausted after promotion decides to postpone it later.
"SECOND! Display these three spells!"
A spell model and the corresponding introduction appeared in his vision.
[Acid Splash.
Description: Summon an acidic liquid with an immerse corrosive ability and splash it to your target.

Description: Summon a wall of water from the ground in front of you.
Prerequisite courses: Foundation of Water Element, Basic Evocation]
[Wind Walk.
Description: Use Wind mana to lighten your body and increase your speed.
Prerequisite courses: Foundation of Wind Element, Basic Evocation]
"One offensive, one defense, and one movement spell each. Perfectly all-rounder. I also need to buy one spell from Trading Post later as my cover."
Trading Post is second the most populated in Ivory Tower after Mission Hall. The earned magic crystals in Mission Hall are mostly spent in here.
Max is at a lower level for apprentice-tier. The Trading Post is divided between two level; apprentice-tier and Mage-tier.
He walked towards academy specialized shop for spells. Max came to the front of the counter. Behind the glass casing is a human size female doll. It a beautiful platinum haired doll wearing a maid outfit. It is a golem. Compared to ten meters tall golems at tower entrance is different to golem here. One created for combat and this one created to assist human.
"How can I help you" A sweet voice came out of the doll but there are no emotion felt.
"Sorry to bother you," Max said humbly. SECOND cannot scan the doll proved that the golem at least Mage level.
"Can you let me see basic model spells?"
The doll hand over a book to Max. Inside the book is containing the list of the spell and their description.
'SECOND! Scan!'
[Affirmative!]
SECOND quickly scan the list and organize it according to Max's requirements.
"Do you have any advance spell like for Ice element?"
"No. Please refer to your instructor for the advance spell"
Max already figured out the answer before he asked but still ask.
With SECOND's database, Max can check the pros and cons of the spell quickly.
"I decided. Please give the spell for Aquatherapy." Max decided on a healing spell.
