It was a bad day, the sky was covered with huge dark clouds as the sun tried to shine through the thick blankets. The jungle was filled with strange noises of beasts as they rushed to find shelter. After a few minutes of silence in the jungle, the small drops of water started falling down as if the sky was crying, followed by huge thunderous noise as the sky lit up occasionally. This created a terrifying scene that made the small beasts tremble in fear. These beasts hid in their homes as they waited for the storm to end quickly.
But it seemed like not all the beast were afraid of this bad weather.
Samad was running hurridly in the jungle looking for a place to hide from the storm when he suddenly heard a loud noise followed by the sound of whimpering. He paused and looked towards his left from where the voices originated. His curiosity took the best of him as he moved towards the sound but after observing what was happening for a few seconds, he started trembling in anger.
He saw a huge tiger hunting down a bunch of red scaled hyenas. The tiger was huge with height reaching up to terrifying 10 ft. The beast was covered in red marks that looked like big commas and its teeth were so sharp and big that they could cut steel.
The big fanged tiger was looking at the hyenas in a teasing manner. It was like a tyrant who held the lives of weaklings in his hand and wanted to show that it could kill them anytime. Right now, it had one small baby hyena under its paws, as he looked at the hyena in front of him.
It was a strong looking one-eyed hyena and was probably the leader on its group. It was 7ft tall but the if compared with the huge tiger, it looked less impressive. Right now, he was staring at the tiger in anger. His eyes were red and filled with killing intent as he stared at the beast in front of him but his eyes occasionally darted towards the baby hyena under the tyrant's paws showing deep worry.
The tiger as if could see what it was thinking, showed a teasing expression and raised his paws just to strike down planning to end the life of the newly born hyena.
The sudden move of the cruel beast surprised the one-eyed hyena but it was quick to act as he rushed to save the baby hyena. The big fanged hyena as if already expected this, suddenly changed the direction of its strike and hit the one-eyed hyena, catching it by surprise.
The strong force behind the attack sent the poor beast flying as he hit a huge tree. It whimpered in pain as it tried to stand up with its weak, trembling legs. The big fanged tiger watched the pitiful weakling in front of it and slowly moved towards it. Soon, it stood in front of the injured beast looking scornfully at it and slowly raised it paws as to declare the death of the poor hyena but as it was about to hit its target and loud shout resounded from behind it,
"Stop! You bastard."
Samad was quietly watching the tiger spread terror within the camp of poor hyenas with no intentions of getting involved. He watched for a few minutes and planned to walk away but he suddenly stopped in his tracks, when he saw the one-eyed hyena. He felt a strong sense of familiarity when he saw that beast. He decided to wait and observe it. He saw as the tiger baited and injured it with no intention to intervene.
But when he saw the eyes of the injured hyena trying to stand up with its shaking legs, he felt as he was struck by lightning. His eyes opened wide as he remembered who it was. This hyena was the same one, who was the first victim of his traps.
If it was some other beast, Samad could have ignored it but this particular hyena was different. It was the first beast, Samad had fought on his own in this strange world. He had developed a sense of comradeship with this beast.
Samad trembled in anger when he saw the tiger trying to deliver a killing blow to the one-eyed hyena. He shouted in rage as he vanished from where he stood. His speed was so fast that it produced sonic boom as he rushed towards the tiger.
The tiger who was startled by the loud shout but didn't get the chance to turn back when it suddenly heard a loud bang from behind it and burst into bits like a balloon. What was left of this Commander class beast was pieces of flesh that littered on the surrounding trees. This terrifying gore scene could send shivers down to anyone who witnessed it.
Samad didn't even looked at the body of the tiger and rushed towards the injured hyena. He quickly caught the injured beast as it was about to fall down. He observed the beast with worry in his eyes. The beast as could feel someone helping it, tried to open its eyes but could not as his strength left its body and it fainted.
Samad looked at the unconsciousness beast in his arms and asked nervously,
"System! Is it okay? Why is it not waking up? Is it dead?"
The system is if could feel the worry in his host's voice didn't keep his usual silence and spoke.
"Host need to calm down. It is not dead but its injuries are severe causing it to faint when it lost all of its strength."
Samad faced turned calm as he heard the System but the worry in his heart didn't diminish. He looked at the injured beast and asked worriedly,
"System! Is there a way to heal it? "
"Host can try to make it eat the golden fruit in your pouch."
Samad hands quickly reached inside his leather pouch that he made from the skin of the green python and took a strange golden color fruit from inside it. The fruit was strange looking and emitted a faint fragrance that made anyone who smelled it, want to take a bite of it. Samad quickly controlled his urge to eat this fruit and asked suspiciously,
"Can this fruit really heal it?"
"..."
Veins began to show up on Samad's face when his question was answered with silence but he understood what the System was trying to tell by that silence. He clenched his teeth and decided to trust the System. He opened the jaw of the injured beast carefully and stuffed it with the fruit. As the fruit entered its mouth, it melted into a liquid that made its way towards the belly of the injured beast. Samad didn't notice it and started to move the beast's jaw up and down as if helping it eat the fruit.
"....idiot", muttered System in an almost humane voice but Samad who was busy helping the beast didn't notice that.
Samad was attentively watching the beast in expectation but nothing happened.
"System! Was that fruit not enough? Why is it not doing anything?"
"..."
The response from the System angered Samad and as he was about to curse it, a huge light blinded his eyes.
After a few seconds, the light faded and Samad could see again but then what he witnessed made him stunned. His mouth opened wide as he stared in astonishment.
