An unexpected reunion

Coming out of Gill's chambers and Storage, Lillian Grey rushed to wake up Lia. She was determined to send the little girl to school as early as possible so that Giselle and she could get back to their business that got interrupted earlier.

As intended, Giselle dropped her daughter to school and returned to spend the rest of the day with Lillian Grey.

Since she had no schedule or no one to meet, Giselle had plenty of quality time to share with her girlfriend. And that was enough for Lillian to skip even eating. Time raced to them adoring each other endlessly. Lillian refused to let Giselle get out of bed as they cuddled and loved all afternoon until Giselle noticed she needed to pick up Lia after school. She couldn't fathom how quickly the day had passed from forgetting about the rest of the world except each other, immersing to the point where they've lost track of time.

Giselle had left earlier that evening to pick up Lia after school. She didn't have the heart to leave Lillian's side. However, having to experience such silly thoughts and getting spoiled at this age made Giselle drown in embarrassment. She came early and waited at the spot where she would usually meet Lia. And while patiently standing alone, Giselle spotted other parents arriving as well. Soon to her peeking, she found some familiar faces approaching altogether.

They haven't met each other in a long gap. And that made their meeting even more enthusiastic. Giselle was surprised to see the parents of Lia's friends since the last time they all met was following the celebration of New Year. It had already been close to a month.

"Giselle? Is that y- you?" Isobel, Stephanie's mom, recognized first.

Giselle reacted to find all three arriving together.

"Hello. Hi..." she greeted them in awe.

"Wow, hey girl," Melissa, Andy's mom, called out.

Jessica's mom, Jolina, was the last one to greet Giselle.

"It's been so long, right?" she added along with her welcoming smile.

They hugged and greeted each other in surprise as it became more like meeting friends after a long time. For a moment, they've all ignored their kids and were involved with each other.

"Yeah, right!"

"How are you all?" Giselle inquired.

"We're great! How about you? Oh- how was the book tour? When was the last time we were all together, right?" Andy's mom, Melissa, spoke in glee as she had Giselle tight in her grasp.

"Yeah, it's been hard to meet each other for a while, right?" Stephanie's mom joined to agree. She went on to add how encountering each other every day has become a great deal since they couldn't match their timings. Despite being acquainted following their kid's bonding, the ladies had grown quite friendly with one another. They've replaced the loss of personal meetings with phone calls and text messages. Ultimately, seeing each other in person after a long time became a golden opportunity.

"Oh, but let's get back to you, Giselle!" Melissa called.

She asked about the book tour Giselle had gone on with her author Jayce. Amongst the three ladies, Melissa was the only one who became a fan of Jayce after becoming friends with Giselle. Ever since Giselle hooked her up with Jayce's romantic novels, Melissa became addicted. Thus, more than anyone else right now, she was the only one interested to know about the book tour with her favorite author. Rest all inquired in general and left the topic at a casual state.

"Did you get me a signed copy as well?" Melissa asked with her sparkling eyes.

Both Stephanie's mom and Jessica's mom had to witness Melissa in a new light. They rolled their eyes in ignorance while Giselle promised to bring the book next time. Even if they were unable to meet, Giselle could ask Andy to deliver the book to her mother. Melissa thanked Giselle again and again. The ladies had plenty of time to chat since they all arrived eary to their abnormality.

The school bell finally rang to interrupt the little get-together. Shortly after, the empty hallways and entrance became crammed with kids rushing out of the classrooms.

After-school scenery is always a delight to witness. While some of the parents waited to collect their kids, some formed groups to play around until their parents arrived. The rejoicing sound of every kid at that moment was precious to behold. As anticipated, Lia and her friends eventually came out of the school building to search for their family.

Lia spotted her mother along with her friends' moms. She called out to her pals and pointed in the direction. The girls recognized their moms, and they all sprinted toward them.

As soon as they arrived, the kids all lined up in a straight line, intimidating the adults with their formation. Once settled in their spot, at once, they screamed for ice cream together.

"What?" Melissa exclaimed from the setup.

"Please, we want to eat Ice cream!" the girl recited together.

Jolina, Jessica's mom, glanced at her daughter, intently trying to draw her attention so that she could give her a nice cold stare. But, as sworn already, the girls refused to look at their own moms but the one standing next to them. Initially, when getting ready to leave the classroom, the girls all worried if they had to face their mums alone to request for Ice cream treat. Thankfully, since the adults all were waiting together, the little ones thought luck was in their favor.

"What's going on now?" Isobel charged at the little troopers.

It was then that Andy, the hyperactive girl, cried to announce how they intended to celebrate Lia's triumphant end of her suspension. Upon hearing the word, the ladies' faces changed along with their expressions. Nevertheless, Andy, Stephanie, Jessica, and including Lia stood stubborn to their request. Jessica's mother saw the kids' determination and chose to approve first. Seeing how it wasn't a bad idea, the rest went along. Melissa invited Giselle to come along since it was a rare chance for the four of them to be together. Besides, she has so many to ask about Jayce. Thus, upon everyone's request, Giselle and Lia went along with their group to the nearby ice cream parlor.
