"Please make like a hole and go live there."
"Oh cmon, it's just for a day."
"But I wanted to have Matt over!"
"You can have him over even when I'm there."
"He doesn't know you, he won't be comfortable."
Tanya wanted to stay with me today, mostly because she fought with her boyfriend again and by the laws of the silent treatment she can't talk to him.
I sighed giving up.
"Ok one condition, manage the rest of my shift."
And before she could protest, I grabbed my coffee and headed to Matthew's tables. He's alone today because Perry's on a date with Zach I mean they're basically married now.
"You can't come over today." I sat down.
"...why?" He put his phone down, looking at me.
"Tanya fought with her boyfriend and wants to stay over."
"Then you can come over?" He suggested.
"But your family will be over."
"They won't pester us."
"Alright then."
I headed to the counter and gave her the keys, forwarding my address to her.
"Today we're not watching any romance." I informed him after returning.
"Aww why?"
"You forget that I'm there everytime."
He didn't say anything else, but looked slightly disappointed.
I looked away so I don't end up feeling bad, even though I already felt guilty.
After we got in the car, I finally decided to ask. "Is your family okay with your dating a guy? I mean if not it's fine, I'll be more careful."
"Oh no they don't mind, but my dad is a little over protective."
"Oh alright then." I smiled relieved.
I tried my best to fix myself while in the car. I'm meeting his family so good first impression is important.
Just as we were about to enter, I noticed Matt being focused on his phone instead of being aware of his surroundings. There was probably some drunk driver, the car not being stable and clearly not planning to stop at the red light, heading towards him.
"Matt!" I pulled him, as we landed on the side walk right outside his house.
"Are you an idiot? We were on the damn road!" He looked at me, wide eyed from the shock.
"Uh sorry."
"What do you mean 'sorry' you basically almost died, don't look at your phone, atleast while crossing the damn road. "
"Thank-"
"Did I actually just hear someone shout on Matthew?" I looked at the source of the voice, finding an amused looking older version of Matt.
"Oh, hey dad." Matt smiled.
"And here I was concerned about my first impression, what the heck."
"He's precious." I heard a female voice.
I looked up to see a sweet looking lady, smiling fondly.
"Okay okay, let's go in." Matt chuckled.
"He's right Matthew, you need to give your phone a break."
He groaned. "great, now I have three people to lecture me."
He helped me up with him, as his parents laughed, walking back in.
"Nice to meet your Liam, I'm Sarah." She smiled.
"Hey there." I said still embarrassed.
"Liam huh? So you're the boyfriend?"
"Oh, yeah." I looked at Matt.
"I had to tell them! They wanted to know."
"I've never really seen someone being able to shout at Matt." I heard his dad. Crap there goes my parent approval.
"Sorry-"
"I like it. You're capable to protecting him unlike his previous girlfriends."
I looked up, seeing Matt look equally as surprised.
"Plus I've never seen him apologize that easily." His mom said, as Matt look embaressment.
"I'm John Liam, please take care of my son." He smiled putting his hand forward for a handshake which I gladly accepted.
"I will, thank you." I smiled, relieved.
"Can we just eat please?"
"Dinners not ready yet, I'll call you when it's done."
"Alright then."
"Lock the door if you-"
"We won't!" He shouted back.
I chuckled at how much at ease he was around his parents.
He headed to the bathroom as I went to his room, laying down on his bed.
"That was stressful." I covered my head in a pillow.
I heard him enter the room, closing it behind him.
"Oh right I never asked, what about your family? You live alone, is there a reason?"
I froze, sitting up.
"You don't have to tell me."
"No, I want to." I pointed to the space beside me, inviting him to come sit with me.
"I had a normal family till I was nine, then mom found out dad was cheating on her and had a son with another woman too."
"She worked hard to support me, but she got diagnosed with lung cancer a bit later. After she passed away, dad asked me to move out at seventeen. He pays for me, but lives with his family."
He slowly crawled behind me, wrapping his hands around my waist.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be, it's okay."
"No offence but, your dad is a piece of shit. Who makes a seventeen year old move out anyway?"
"I couldn't have lived with him anyway."
"Would your mom have minded this? I mean bring with a guy."
"No, she just told me to not be with someone who makes me happy. Gender shouldn't matter anyway."
He chuckled. "I'm glad I can do that. what do you wanna do?"
"Do we really need to do something? Let's just stay like this."
I gently released his hands, turning around to face him. I wrapped my hands around his neck.
"You really-" I cut him off, with my lips and he didn't protest, wrapping his hands around my waist again, and letting me dominate the kiss.
I gently nibbled on his Lips, as he finally realized what I was doing and granted me access to his mouth. Me not being very experienced with initiating kisses I immediately panicked, backing out.
"You need more practice." He chuckled, panting.
I turned beet red suddenly loosing all the confidence, as he pried my hands off his neck, leaning down.
"Allow me to show you."
"You're so-" he shut me off, my irritation disappearing as I melted into the kiss. It's not fair how good he is at this.
He licked my bottom lip, and I didn't even put up a fight, immediately letting him in. His tongue roamed my mouth, and his confidence only boosted more when an unwanted moan made its appearance.
He leant forward for better access and then finally pulled away, resting his forehead on my shoulder, leaving us both panting.
"Better?"
"I hate to admit it but probably."
"Thought so." His hand trailed up to my hair, running his hand through it.
He smiled, looking literally adorable.
"You're so damn cute." I cupped his face, admiring it.
He turned slightly red under my hands, giving me a sudden boost of confidence. I can make that happen.
"Not everyone would use the adjective 'cute' to describe me." He put his hands over mine.
"I like that about you, people have only really cared about my looks."
"Well you are undeniably handsome, but you're still cuter for me. atleast this side of you, or when you're watching those cheesy movies."
"Also when you're eating. You look cute even when you're crying even though I don't like seeing you cry, but I just wanna look at you all day and I can probably talk about you all day too. It's just- why do you have to be so darn perfe-"
I blushed as i realized I just ranted about him to him.
"And you tell me I'm cute, look at you when you blush." He cupped my face instead, kissing my cheeks.
"Thank you. You have a way with words and can tell me how you feel. I'm sorry I have such a hard time with it."
"It is too early to say I think I love you?" I looked up to meet his eyes, my shock more than prominent on my face.
"Too early huh? Forget I-"
"I don't care, shut up. I love you too."
He smiled, looking so precious I could cry.
"I don't say this a lot, but you look adorable no matter what you're doing. You could go sit in the cafeteria and you'd still look cuddle-able. I could watch you rant about pointless stuff for hours. Whenever I see you, I wanna hug you and keep you with me forever. I don't know what you've done to me, but I don't hate it."
I blushed deeper, but I couldn't hold back the smile. His are contagious.
"I love you so much, you idiot." I muttered, hugging him. That feels so good to say.
"I love you more you moron." He wrapped his hands around me. And that feels so good to hear.
We stayed like that for a while, in comfortable silence, appreciating each others' company.
"Boys, dinner!!" We heard his mom call.
"Coming!" He shouted back letting go.
"Get me ice cream after lunch, pleaseee!?"
"I would say no,"
"But not to you."
The end.
