The Start

The stars shone brightly in the night sky, while a cool breeze blew causing the dense grass to wave violently. A boy no older than 13 could be seen laying down on the patch of grass while gazing at the stars with a smile on his face before standing up and dusting himself off, he was rather tall for his and muscular for his age. He was what you could describe as a rather handsome young man, he had shoulder length black hair which is kept in a low ponytail, his eyes were narrow and paired with thin eyebrows.

He stood there with a smile on his face before shaking his head and walking away, he wore a black Kung Fu gi and shoes. It's been less than a day since Lei Yun came to this world, and to be honest he was quite pleased to be here instead of his old world. He felt a sense of belonging that he never once had in the past, the only thing he wished he could change was the fact that he was trapped in his old 13 year old body. He was an orphan and since young he was always incredibly smart, too smart for his own good actually because that prevented him from behaving like a normal child which caused him to often get bullied by others.

What other would perceived as kids horsing around was in fact the birth of monster, through out his childhood he was often categorized a psychopath by others, but he always believed that he was a high functioning sociopath instead. Why? well Lei Yun was good at getting back to others and he would go to incredible lengths to do so, his repertoire included lying, subterfuge, stealing, violence, guerilla warfare, detailed planning. By nine years old he had already read every military strategic books in the local library including the art of war.

He was like a sponge and he thirst for all kinds of knowledge, He graduated high school at the tender age of eight, he hailed as a once in a lifetime genius by his contemporaries. Soon the government came knocking, they offered him scholarships to some of the best schools in the country and also provided funds for daily necessities as long as he promised to serve the government when he grows up. He accepted their offer and went on to study at the prestigious PLA National Defense University where he spent years amassing degrees left and right, he majored in Military Science, World History, Civil Engineering, Information Science, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Economics, Business, irrigation engineering and Political Science and Government. While in school he joined the horse riding, archery, kung fu, and sanshou clubs where he won many awards in each.

By twenty eight he created his own personal neural Nano-Interface. It was human brain augmentation which allows it to function as a supercomputer, This interface would trap it's user in a virtual reality and allow them to play games. Lei Yun had created a basic game as a form of test run, it was a mix of a few of his favorite video games one was called 'emperor rise of the middle kingdom' while the others were all 'Dynasty warriors series' and manga/anime called 'Kingdom'. Everything was going according to plan until a power surge caused major malfunction and subsequently killing him in the process or so he thought at least, when he came to he was in the middle of a barren plain and was also in the body of his avatar.

Lei Yun was shocked to say the least, he spent the next hour going over the possibilities of what had happened and ultimately accepted that he transmigrated in a different world. To his delight he also found out that he keep all of his gaming functions and all of his data, from horses to buildings he created, his armies and entire fortune he made in the game. All of which would aid him survive in this new and unknown world. After walking around for a few hours in order to investigate and having no luck he finally remembered that he had the map function, it gave him a detailed view and map of everything within a hundred miles around his location ranging from animals to landmarks. After searching for a bit and to his surprise he realize that everything in his immediate surrounding was nothing but a desolate plain, mountains in all four sides and a river that was located twenty two miles north of him and sixty mile east of him was what he could describe as a settlement, according to the map there was less than a hundred people there.

After a quick deliberation he decided to settle in this plain and create a base of operation, after settling down he planed on send a group to do some light scouting of the area before going out to explore the settlement he discovered not to long ago. Opening the system he took out a war horse and made his way towards the river all the while using the map function to keep alert on what is happening around him. Lei Yun has rode many horses in his previous life, but this horse was on a league of it's own. It was the fastest one he has ever ridden and unlike other horses who have short burst of speed before being tired, this one ran at top speed for over an hour straight without even showing a hint of fatigue. Lei Yun concluded that the materials produced by the system were of higher qualities than he has ever experienced in his previous life, so he knew that he would have to careful so that he would not cause a war since humans were greedy once his secret was known it would no doubt caused an uproar.

After arriving by the lake Lei Yun immediately surveyed the landscape, than rode up to top of the mountain and to his delight he realized that the entire northern part of the plain was incredibly fertile was without a doubt an ideal place to set up his base, this mountain was big and stretched out miles away to make matters even tougher it was incredibly rocky and uneven on one side providing natural defense. Still Lei Yun decided to erect towers and build a wall along the vulnerable points, fortifying it even further. Using the system it took him no longer than 5 minutes to erect a 20 meters high wall that ran 40 meters long along the mountain and every 10 meters a guard tower 30 meter high could be seen.

With that taken cared of he turned his attention towards the plain where he decided to build his city, first he decided to build away from the mountain in case of an attack he didn't want the enemy to be looking directly inside his city. So he picked a spot with equal distance away from the river and the mountain, with that resolved he decided to choose a four wall system for better security purposes. Each entrances would have a oval shaped wall extending from the gate in order to regulate flow in case of an attack, after that one wall would act a buffer area since it would only be a grassed field. The second and third walls would lead to the market, residential, military zones while the forth wall would be the his mansion. (Attack on titan walls with one additional empty wall)

Soon he began building the necessary things that were essential to a functioning city, after every thing was set and done he was left with an incredibly huge city that could without a doubt be considered a rival to some of the best ancient capitals from his previous world. It stretched out to a staggering 5.6 square miles, and lucky for him the game functions usually provided workers, fisherman and ect but since this was real life they to became real. It actually funny to see them look around few before they started working, after his big project was completed Lei Yun spawned one of the many armies he had in files from dynasty warriors and told the leading general to sent a few scouts in all four directions he also instructed him to personally give him the report to him when they came back.

With that complete he moved towards the city lords mansion and found a room to sleep in, funny enough he realized he also had maids, guards, butlers. He guessed that they were from the group he spawned after he completed the city, but he decided to look into it after his nap since it has been days since he slept, when he completed the project he was already running on less than 3 hours of sleep each day for week straight. His body was tired, and his brain was screaming for sleep, after removing his clothes he laid bed in his birthday suit before closing his heavy eyelids.
