Ignition

When Lei Yun woke up the next day it was already in the late afternoon, the sun had just started setting and the sky was adorn with a orange tint. After getting out of bed Lei Yun stood there dumbfounded for a few seconds, normally after one woke up from sleep they would usually go and take a shower. But this was not his previous world, sure the manners that was grinded into by the orphanage matron still applied here but the way to go about it was different, why ? you ask well first of all he was not used to the bathroom in this world.

Sure he created the damn city so it should contain bathrooms and all that, but there was a small problem and it was that he had no clue where they were located. As if on cue a knock was heard on his door, without a moment of hesitation he replied telling whomever was on the outside to enter. Soon a maid walked in the room, she ha dark brown hair with two bangs on either side of her head while the rest of her hair was pulled back and tied in a bun. She had brown eyes and wore a snow white dress, all in all she looked plain and normal neither ugly nor pretty.

After entering the room she bowed towards Lei Yun before saying "Young master the bath has already been prepared for you, and since you missed both breakfast and lunch a slightly larger dinner has also been prepared so please follow me i will guide you to the bathroom it is this way" Seeing this Lei Yun felt incredibly relieved, he was stuck contemplating his options this angel came and gave him a hand. He started following her out the room and down the hallway, truthfully Lei Yun tried his best not to stare directly at her ass as they walked. He truly really did try his best to be respectful, but she was in front of him and no matter where he tried to look he couldn't help but be drawn to it.

When they arrived the room had a huge wooden tub in the center of it filled with steaming water, a coarse bar of soap could be seen on the side with what could be considered a towel. Sighing Lei Yun took of his clothes and got in the tub, at first it felt slightly uncomfortable like jumping in a pool of hot water after playing on the beach. But soon it became comfortable, surprisingly so that Lei yun had the urge to close his eyes and let all of his worries just wash away and free him. To be honest it would be a lie if he said he wasn't happy to be in a new world, he grew tired of his old one and at times felt like he did not belong at all yet had to pretend to enjoy it. Thoughts came and went and sooner or later Lei Yun fell asleep again, his mind was racing at hundreds of miles per hour trying to make a plan or trying to know where was he and what kind of world he actually was in.

A knock was heard from the door and woke Lei Yun out of his nap, he was shocked to found out he actually fell asleep in the bathtub like a child, his face went beet red at the discovery and quickly fixed himself and regained his composure before telling the maid to enter the room. She walked in holding a identical set of clothes that he previously owned, she placed them down on a bench not to far away from the tub and picked up the ones he previously wore before walking out of the room and leaving him there once more in silence. Seeing this Lei Yun picked up the soap bar and began washing himself off, he realized that he has not eaten a thing since arriving in this world and his stomach as if on queue growled in protest.

When he finished his bath he walked out the room feeling like a new man, his hair was slightly damp but still looked majestic and free as it swayed in the air. He felt incredibly refreshed after his bath so when he stepped out he made the decision to tackle whatever this new world threw at him and make his mark in it. The girl waited for him to get out before guiding him towards the dining hall although she wasn't considered to be a heavenly beauty, she was still appealing to the eyes and the more you looked at her the more you craved. Arriving at the dining room Lei Yun sat down in front of a pile of food ranging from roasted chicken, rice, vegetables and so on. It didn't take long for him to begin eating, he made quick work of his meal before standing up and turned to walk away but before doing he stopped, turned around and asked the maid

"Excuse me but what was your name again?"

She bowed her head and said "Responding to young master my name is Jing Chanyu" seeing this Lei Yun nodded and proceeded to walk away, his goal was to walk around the city to take an in depth look at it and see if he there were some things he could upgrade. As he walked down the city streets in his Kung Fu Gi that clung tight against his muscles he could not help but draw the attention of the people near by, but once they noticed who he was they immediately bowed their heads in respect. Not only was the acting city lord but was also the creator of this city itself and in a way he created them too. But not that they knew that part or needed to anyway, all they felt when it came towards the city lord could only be described as unwavering loyalty.

While walking around he began making plans for the survival of the city, for one he would need to open and begin trading with nearby cities. Second he would need to make sure that they are not too flash in terms of wealth but show a strong military present in order to deter potential enemies. For one they already had the terrain advantage in case of an attack they were protected on three sides leaving only one possible attack point, two the city rampart were built with defense in mind, that coupled with the walls made the city a almost impregnable fortress. One that would caused the death of countless armies before even breaching a single wall.

Soon Lei Yun finished his exploration so he decided to make his way back to his residence and found himself laying on the grass in the back yard gazing at the stars with a smile on his face, Star gazing has always been therapeutic to him. No matter the situation whenever he looked up and saw them he would always feel at ease, and right he all he felt was nothing bliss the problem was having the chance to see stars in his world. Bu here the air was clean and pure, there was gray smog covering the sky like a blanket of death, the grass smelled and felt better, nothing fake just plain old natural. He laid there enjoying all the beauty nature had to offer before standing up with a smile on his face shaking his head and walking away.

The moment he walked in the house he saw the same maid he met this morning running up to him, bowing her head she said "Young master General Bai Yuanpei of the city's garrison as arrived and is asking for an audience" Nodding his head he replied "Okay take me to him please" When he arrived in the room Lei Yun saw a man who standing there with ramrod back he was approximately 195cm tall and he has 2 scars on his face, one on the cheek and other across the nose. His face was stuck in a permanent stern look, as a large, imposing frame with well defined muscles which his red armor did little to hide. His eyes were intense as they stared at Lei Yun who returned an equally intense stare back at him.

Lei Yun knew exactly why he was here and decide to get straight to the point in order not to waste time. "What have your scout discover general?" snapping at attention upon being spoken to General Bai Yuanpei began giving his report. "Sir they discovered a small village to the East of us called Jouto, they were not able to find much since it seems like the region is in political turmoil. But we did find a boy who by all means should have died, he had grievous wounds on his chest and lost alot of blood. Our scout reported that two assassins were after him, one was killed while the other had went up ahead after his companion. He was given battlefield first aid and we managed to get a pulse, he is currently in deep sleep after being tended to by our medics and expect him to pull through."

Nodding his head Lei Yun asked to be taken to see the boy in question, a few minutes later they arrived at the barracks and made they're way towards the hospital section located towards the back. As they passed the halls soldiers saluted them one after another. Lei Yun paid it no mind as is was the custom in the military that all superiors must be saluted, When they arrived a young boy wrapped in bandages all over his chest could be seen laying on a bed, he was pale as ghost and he breathing was labored. The room was filled with the scent of herbs clearly they were used on the boy in order to either ease his pain or speed up his healing, when Lei Yun saw the boy he quickly knitted his brows.

This boy looked extremely familiar no scratch that way too familiar, he walked around the boy a few times to make sure his mind was not playing trick on him. He rubbed his eyes a few times before touching the boys arm and check for a pulse, General Bai Yuanpei stood there with a blank look on his face like this did not concern him one bit. After a few seconds a smile crept on Lei Yun's face before saying "Hello there Piao or should i say Hyou , well ether way it is nice to finally meet you" at his words the boys eyes started moving and twitching before slowly opening.
