Involvement

Sitting on the bed with a worried look on his face was Hyou, he was looking at Lei Yun and general Bai Yuan pei trying to determine whether or not they were friends or foes. Seeing this Lei Yun decided to break the ice and help him relax a bit, clearing his throat he walked closer to the bed and sat on the stool that was next to it and said. "My name is Lei Yun, behind me is general Bai Yuan pei of this city's garrison. You currently are in Dantu city and i am the young lord here nice to meet you by the way."

After saying this Lei Yun looked at him in hopes that he will also introduce himself, but he seems to be looking around in confusion still, seeing this Lei Yun decode to clear his throat in order to snap the boy out his trance. His head snapped back before looking down a bit and blushed once he realized his mistake, after taking a deep breath he looked at Lei Yun in the eyes before replying. "My name is Hyou and i am an orphan, it is a pleasure to meet you young lord." Hearing his answer Lei Yun was now sure that he reincarnated in the world of Kingdom, but he wanted to make sure that things were still following the plot line because of they weren't than he would lose his advantage of knowing the future events which were going to unfold in the coming months.

With a quick calculation Lei Yun knew that he was currently in the beginning of the series specifically in the rebellion arc, and that if he could get into the kings good books it could help him fulfill his wish. And that wish was to stand at the top as a great general, sure it sounded childish and extremely dangerous but that was what he always dreamed of when he read his manga back in the day, the reason why he joined the military was solely because he thought it would be cool to have live combat experience, but now that the chance presented itself in front of him why should he not take it? in his mind only an idiot wouldn't take advantage of such amazing opportunity.

Smiling Lei Yun looked at the still confused Hyou before speaking. "So tell me about yourself Hyou, after all it's not everyday you see an orphan who was found half dead wearing such fine silk clothing that could only be owned by kings don't you agree? Well our grasp on outside knowledge maybe outdated since we went into hiding years ago, but i am almost positive that such fine clothing are not a common occurrence." When Hyou heard his words his body stiffened a bit before his eyes slightly widen in realization of what had just been said, he stared at Lei Yun for a few seconds than looked at General Bai Yuan pei for a slightly longer moment before turning his gaze back towards Lei Yun and said. "May i ask where and what exactly is this city? and whom do you serve as your king?"

Seeing this Lei Yun smiled and started thinking for a bit before replying, this was the moment he was waiting for, after all even if he knew what was going to happen in the future he still needed Pao to help him open doors and also to guide him towards where he needed to go, not only that he needed him to also help him be in the good graces of that old bastard Shou Bun Kun which will in turn convince Shin and Ei Sei to give him a chance. Seeing as things are going in the right direction Lei Yun replied "Like i said before we are in Dantu city located sixty miles east of Jouto village where you were found bleeding to death by the way, and as for the question of who do i serve as my king it is a bit of a tricky one. You see this place originally was or is a Stateless area located inside of Qin, you see this place is a bit special.

Stateless areas are barren lands inside the seven main states that can't produce any goods, they are areas where citizens of smaller former fallen states or tribes that have been defeated in war flock to. These areas are known by the higher ups of the courts but are left alone because they are worthless to them, lands are barren thus can barely produce food, they have zero resources because they have either been sucked dry or could never produce them in the first place. To make matters worse because of the difficulty of sustaining themselves, people in these areas are once again beset by a struggle for dominance over this piece of wilderness. Normally that's how it goes, but my ancestors accidentally found this crown jewel in exile after they're state was destroyed by Zhao,

They were the royal family of that tiny state, knowing they could not stand a chance to the vastly superior military power of the state of Zhao they deserted the city at night along with it's entire population and including military and fled in the cover of darkness. My ancestor was always a bit paranoid so he had the engineers built an underground passage leading towards the mountains of Qin, so that in case of emergency they could make an escape. Well who knew later it would prove to come in handy, anyway after traveling for a few day and nights they discovered this place. It was secluded, well hidden and most importantly filled with natural resources that could support a growing city.

So to answer your question i do not have a king and i do not recognize anybody as my king, so with your question answered now how about you answer mine." After that monologue Lei Yun could see the wheels turning in Hyou's head, he kept his cool and began telling his story to Lei Yun. From how he was raised as a slave alongside another boy called Shin to how he was purchased by Shou Bun Kun in order to act as the current kings body double, he even mentioned how there was an assassination attempt on his life because they thought he was the king. Overall he spilled all the beans with out as much as even bothering to hide anything, Lei Yun was shocked to say the least. I mean how would be so stupid to go as far as leak out all they're current situation and plans like that to a complete stranger. When he asked him about it the boy only smile before saying that he seemed like a good person and that's why he did so.

That actual cause Lei Yun to laughed out loud for a good minute and caused General Bai Yuan Pei to only shake his head in exasperation, after that good laugh Lei Yun got serious all of a sudden which in turned caused the room to have this heavy atmosphere to it. Lei Yun looked at Hyou dead in his eyes before once again speaking in a firm tone. "So now that you have somewhat recovered i am guessing you are going to go back and not only are you going to try to help out this king of yours who currently is with your best friend/brother but you are going to ask me to help you too huh."

The room was quiet for a few seconds before Hyou looked back at him with a steeled resolve and simply nodded, they continue this staring contest for a bit before Lei Yun started laughing again without a care in the world. This action caused Hyou to have a confused look on his face before looking at General Bai Yuan Pei who merely shook his head before he folded his arms and closing his eyes, he knew that this young master of his was a bit weird and that he was a nightmare to try and figure him out so he just gave up while he was ahead.

When he finally calmed down he looked at Hyou again but this time he had a slight smile on his face, he sighed and said "If it was back in the day i would be volunteering myself without a moment of hesitation, but now things are different i have a city to run. Tell you what my friend this is what i will do for you, with your injuries you are not advised to move at all for a week. Though it will not be fully healed but it will be good enough for you move around so when that time comes i will give you an armor, a horse, and three-hundred men for you to set out and do what it is you planned on doing. But if your side manages to win the throne back i only ask that you keep i and this city a secret from everybody, the only person that can know about the existence of this place is your king but only in private. Do i make myself clear?"

Hyou smiled and nodded his head, truth be told he could not bring himself to hate Lei Yun for his choice. They were a secret city that lived a thrived hidden away from the light of the public, once it is known that they exist many nobles will motivated by greed and they're utmost to own this fat piece of meat. So him providing so little help is already the most he can do without putting the live of those he was sworn to protect at risk, after the deal was made the two of them started talking to each other leisurely, everyday Lei Yun would come and visit him, some times they would play some strange board games one was called Go while the other was called Xiangqi. After explaining the rules and the practicality of the said games to him, They played everyday for hours upon hours at a time though he preferred Go out of the two he still enjoyed Xiangqi every now and then.

They spent there remaining time together like this everyday, beside break time for food and bathrooms they spent days locked in that infirmary room playing. Even though Hyou got absolutely destroyed by Lei Yun who've played this game for more than fifteen years and had more time to developed vastly superior strategies in order to deal with almost every tricks one can throw at him, it forced him to improving at an impressive rate. The last night they played Hyou decide to play a more aggressive style, he threw some kamikaze like attacks at Lei Yun when things were hopeless. Though they were unsuccessful they still caused some amazing damage, like the proverb says 'Only in continuous defeat do you forge a strong will' this showed that Hyou was transforming into a scary strategist type of commander, in the databook it was said that he was an intelligent lad and it showed so should he survive this storm his martial stats would without a doubt rise even higher due to his constant spars that he will have against Shin.

The sun had just risen, the air was slightly chilly and gloomy. Lei Yun walked along side General Bai Yuan Pei on his left and Hyou on his right, General Bai yuan Pei was wearing his traditional red armor while Hyou was wearing a new form fitting silver armor with a sword on his waiste. The front armor has the design of a wolf head bearing it's teeth, while his metal shoulder pads has the design of a skulls on them. The entire armor along with the vambrace were filled with engravings on it making it look more like a artwork than a war armor, it was light and sturdy something that surprised Hyou very much behind him was grey war horse.

They stood there in front of the gates looking at the vast plains without saying a word, 'Bang, bang, bang." At this moment, they could feel the earth tremble beneath their feet, as the sound of horses galloping could be heard. Hyou was kind shocked but somehow was able to regain his composure, Very quickly, they could see a group of warriors wielding a long spears in their hands, mounted on black war horses, they were galloping in their direction. Each were equipped with a similar silver armors and spears, as they got closer and closer one could see their gazes, they were as sharp as sword, and emitted a chilly air. They rode in unison and moved as a singles unit, two men could be seen leading them, they seemed different because despite wearing silver armors theirs were the only ones with engravings.

When they arrived in front of the group they stopped and saluted with a palm over a clasped fist, both men at the front shouted on top of their lungs. "WE GREET YOUNG LORD, GENERAL BAI, AND COMMANDER HYOU." Seeing this Lei Yun smile and said "At ease soldiers" he truned to Hyou and said these are the silver wolf unit and from today onward they are yours to command, treat them well. Also drop by some times for a visit when you get the chance, oh and don't forget the things we talked about. Alright now go, go and take a step towards your dream of being a great general of the heavens and don't forget the rendez-vouz point, after all i lost my only contact to the outside in effort to get this information for you." After he finished his words Hyou hugged him and said thank you, he got on his horse and shouted "All units forward"
