Man in her dreams

She normally considered her dreams ordinary. On this night, though, she felt invaded.

Standing in the middle of a white spot-light was a man, dressed in all black; jeans, shirt, sweater, shoes. He had short, black hair and dark brown eyes, almost as dark as his hair. The only other color he had was the ebony colored skin made whiter than he truly was by his dark clothes and the white light. Everywhere but under the spotlight was black. He was speaking in a language that she normally would not have understood. The same language she heard her name spoken. He spoke her Hidden name and was holding a single-sided conversation with her.

"I apologize in advance for invading your dreams, but there is information that you need. Your name is Guenavheer Sohkara. You are a Hidden. You will remember this name. You must. Find me at the Italian restaurant around the corner of your home. I know who you are. If you don't meet me in the next two days, you will find me in your home. We need to speak and you know this. Maghenta will not speak about me. I have been watching her. I have been watching you because of her. Sleep well, and I hope to see you soon, Sahanah Faitini. Good night. Sleep well and sweet dreams."

His features went soft talking about Maghenta, and when he was finished talking everything started dimming.

She woke with a start. She checked her phone to look at the time. It was 11:24am. The sun was streaming around the curtains. She got up, went down stairs and looked for Maghenta in the kitchen. She wasn't there. She went back upstairs and looked inside all of the rooms. Sahanah could not find her. When she went back into the kitchen, she noticed a note on the fridge.

"Sahanah, I am sorry that I could not wait for you to wake up, but I knew that I was going to be hunted soon. I needed to get on the move before they did. I hope you find all of the answers that you are looking for and that everything works out. Remember, you are more powerful than everyone gives you credit for. You are also stronger than you believe yourself to be. Not just physically, but mentally, too Hun. I love you and will find you after things have settled. With love, Maggi."

Sahanah read and reread the letter. She was left flabbergasted and wounded. Her best friend who had all of the answers left her to fend for herself in this chaos. She had one chance left for answers. She was going to go find this Teiran where he said he would be. She packed up everything of hers, a small breakfast for on-the-go and left. She left the door unlocked. She would be returning.
