The Awakening

Nightfall in the Kingdom of Felora, Ying La was sleeping in her room when she heard a strange voice in her head, It sounded like a man he told her that she was destined for something greater than herself, that she had to journey out for herself and find the correct path for herself and that she would meet more like her and each of them would possess unique powers and use it to save the Four Realms from a forthcoming Evil and she needed to train herself for what was coming.

Ying La couldn't believe her ears, she was so happy and couldn't contain her happiness. she ran around the castle screaming and blushing because finally what she always wanted has happened to her and she could not wait to start her adventure but before she could go anywhere she first had to fully equip herself.

Even Though Ying La was a Princess she still took lessons on how to fight from her father's personal knights and they grew to like her. So Ying La went to Bolin, her favourite knight she told him that she needs some equipment because she wanted to try hunting for herself for once but Bolin couldn't allow or take the princess hunting without the King's Approval so she went and convinced her dad to allow her to go hunting but because she was his only child he couldn't allow her to go anywhere outside the castle without at least three Knights and Two guards.

When They got into the forest not far from the kingdom, Ying La said she was tired and Bolin decided that they rest there for now before they begin hunting, Ying La was quite athletic even though she was a princess the guards couldn't believe it when they heard that they would be escorting the princess to go and hunt.

Ying La didn't want to leave the spot where they rested so Bolin decided that they spend the night there and hunt in the morning.

Night in the forest, One could hear the crickets chirping and frogs croaking, the night sky was filled with stars, Ying La had already formulated a plan to escape the guards and knights and run away.

Ying La told one of the guards to bring a barrel of wine, and as he set it on the table she took five cups and poured some wine into it and she slipped some sleeping potions into the cups, She then served it to them at first they were hesitant but she then ordered them to drink it and when they did she kept filling their cups up, Bolin was a strong knight so he could handle his liquor but after a few rounds he started feeling dizzy, as Ying La saw that the guards and knights were passing out she started packing her stuff and before Bolin passed out he saw Ying La stuffing a duffel bag and she was heading for the inner forest.

The only way to leave or enter the kingdom was through the Forest of Cries. Different wild had been rumoured to be seen in the forest and Ying La didn't want to take any chances so she held her sword really close to her heart, any slight mistake could result in death, she was only in the first quarter of the inner forest when a wild beast bigger than a bear but resembled a tiger and its stripes had a slight golden colour when the beast saw her it had been watching her for a while and when she got to a small clearing, it pounced on her but before it could touch her she disappeared and appeared five to six feets away from where she was, The wild beast ran away puzzled and angry that its prey had slipped through its claws.

Ying La couldn't believe what just happened, What did she just do? How did she just perform magic and without casting a spell, Sorcerers who worked for her father had never performed magic without casting a spell. Ying La was both happy and confused but mostly happy, so this was what the voice in her head meant by each of them possessing unique powers.

She tried doing it again but it didn't work, so she continued to head deeper into the forest hoping to find shelter before midnight, she couldn't afford to be attacked again by a wild beast because she was sure she wouldn't get lucky this time so when she saw the moon in the sky getting fuller she decided to sleep in the tallest tree she could climb. Bolin had told her some old knight stories of how they would sleep in the trees if outnumbered or attacked by a beast they couldn't defeat.
