The Journey: Part One

Sun rays glared at Ying La because of the tree she slept in didn't have much shade but she didn't want to wake up.

She was a princess after all and she was required to wake up early in the morning like the servants so she wanted to sleep in then it struck her that she had run away from the castle as she sat up she felt something licking her palm, it was a little black cat with green eyes and a white lightning mark on its stomach, she was amazed that such a creature existed because based on the stories she had heard it would be hard for such a small creature to survive here then it bit here a little by mistake and she jerked her hand away,it stood on its hind legs trying to protect itself.

Then it saw the wound on her hand and realised its mistake, it purred and curled up at her feet trying to apologize for its mistake.

Ying La smiled, she could see that the little cat was smart and knew what it had done wrong so she petted it on its head and took it into her hand, she fed it some fruits and let it go but it didn't want to leave, it gave a sorrowful look and curled up at her feet again licking her boots.

Ying La could see that the little cat was alone like her so she decided to keep it with her, she carried the cat and check its sex and it was a girl too so she named it Miyu and it seemed to like the name.

Ying La continued her journey, she headed west hoping to see a village or shelter somewhere.

After walking for three hours Ying La started to lose hope that she would see anyone in this forest then suddenly she heard some sounds from a distance and she saw a waterfall with a huge lake and some girls were swimming naked in it as she got closer to the lake she heard some male voices in a bush close to the lake she hid.

And She saw three men undressing and one of the men said they should quietly sneak into the lake and catch the girls because he has not seen or felt a woman's body in months and he wouldn't want to pass out on a chance like this.

Ying La wanted to alert the girls but the sound of the waterfall was too loud and they wouldn't have heard her so she took a stone and threw it into the lake, But it still didn't get the girls attention.

The Three men sneaked into the lake and surrounded the girls when the emerged and tried to overpower the girls something strange happened, A bright light shined and the girls transformed into mermaids with some kind of Amour.

Everything happened so fast, after the transformation the mermaid girls tore the men apart.

One of the girls noticed her and threw a dagger at her, luckily it only hit her clothing but it dragged her back unto a tree. The mermaid girls came out of the lake and transformed back to humans but with clothing this time they went towards Ying La but before they could get close to her the little cat jumped out of a bush and roared at them trying to protect Ying La.

Seeing that a sacred creature would protect the young girl knowing it wouldnt survive the girl couldn't be an evil person, they let Ying La go and ordered the creature to go back to where it came from but it didn't answer.

It simply ran to Ying La and curled up at her foot, Ying La took out some fruits from her bag and fed it to the cat.

The mermaid girls saw the closeness between the girl and the sacred creature, the marmaid told Ying La all about the little cat and since it would leave her side they blessed her with a blue crystal and fed the little cat a strange fruit its eyes glowed red and it started to cough up the fruit but nothing came out then suddenly it started to talk, it had a little cute voice and Ying La was bewildered about what she just witnessed they told her that they made the cat able to talk because she may not be familiar with the fruits, animals or surroundings and since it was a sacred creature it had some authority over some animals in the forest which would make it easier for her to navigate the forest and also bridge the gap in communication between them.

They also told her that the crystal would provide her with a protective amour and allow her to breath underwater after casting a particular spell and it could only be used by her and after she marked it with her blood she couldnt lose it.

After there mermaid girls left, the little cat couldn't stop talking, it told her that she had been walking in circles all week and she has been trying to lead her to a nearby village but she never listened or followed her and she preferred fish to fruits too.

Ying La couldn't stop laughing when the little cat was talking but she listened to it because she felt sad that she was close to a village and she didn't know it and kept walking in cirlces, she told Miyu to lead her to the village but Miyu told her she would not take unless she fed her some fish.

Ying La stepped into the lake and started trying to fish, Wang Wei a young fisherman heading back to his village heard some splash from the lake and decided to see what was happening then he saw a beautiful young girl with a strange looking cat trying to fish.

Wang Wei stood and watched for a while to see if she could catch anything, she hit the water with a little dagger in her hand but wasn't able to kill the fish but as Wang Wei was about to give her advice on how to catch the fish she struck the water with speed and perciaion, Wang Wei was dumbstruck he couldnt believe she was the same girl that was trying to catch a fish a while ago.

Ying La brought out the fish from the water and laid it on the floor, Miyu couldn't take her eyes off the fish the fish was huge and it would serve as an excellent meal for her.

Ying La cut off the head of the fish and put it aside, immediately Miyu gobbled up the fish she sneered at Ying La for trying to waste the precious head and continued to eat it, Ying La peeled its scales and cut it into pieces she then made a fire and put a pot on it and as she was about to add the pieces of fish into the pot Miyu shouted and pounced on it she told Ying La that she could not eat cooked fish and wanted hers raw.

Wang Wei was startled by the cat when it spoke, it had a little voice but it still shocked him that the strange looking cat was talking and the girl didn't look surprised at all and even talked back at it, when Wang Wei had seen enough he turned to leave but Miyu had already caught the smell of the fishes he had caught and alerted Ying La to his Presence.
