Quarreling was also necessary

When Damon woke up, he unintentionally glanced at the sofa and it was empty and his mood got sour again. He lifted the blanket and got up from the bed, went to the washroom. After sometime, he came out and got dressed, he was all done and went downstairs, while he was descending the stairs, he could smell a faint aroma coming from the kitchen and faint laughs of two women. He slowly walked towards the kitchen and when he got nearer he heard her clear laughing and she seemed to be telling a small incident from her life which made his mother laugh happily.

He stood at the door while Alena was still speaking, "And mother do you know, what happened after that" suddenly she felt an intense gaze upon her and she turned towards the door. She saw him all dressed up in his suit and looking at her but she simply turned to the breakfast she was cooking. His mother was puzzled because suddenly Alena stopped talking and when she followed her line of sight, she noticed her son and seeing her daughter-in-law's frowning expression she could guess they were fighting. She decided that this time she won't try to make amends because in a relationship quarreling was equally important as loving. She calmly spoke, "You are awake dear, go sit at the dinning table, breakfast will be ready soon".

Although seeing Alena's rude behavior he lost his appetite but because of his mother, he obediently went to sit. Soon, breakfast was served by the servants and Alena ate her fill in silence. After making sure that her mother-in-law has taken her medicine, she went outside and saw Damon's car was still there and this time she didn't avoided it and directly went to his car. Seeing her near the car, the driver hurriedly went outside and opened the door for her. She politely thanked him and sat beside Damon without sparing him a glance.
