Wen Lin is one of the few people born with a mutated gene.

As a commander and leading scientist, he has plenty of enemies. However, what happens when the enemy he so wishes to kill and find is his own biological brother?

Wen Lin stood by the door leading to the hospital room, where the beautiful woman rested. He softly called out her name, with no intention of walking inside. He could not walk inside, he did not have the courage to say goodbye.

My life revolves around you

Yang Jie was asleep when Yun Lin came back from the club.


His breath smelled of alcohol like he had bathed in alcohol. Yang Jiang was awoken by the strong stench of alcohol. The first thing she saw when waking up was Yun Lin staring straight at her lips as if he knew what he wanted. Her face began to heat up. Yun Lin just stared at her, and then he stretched out his hand to caress her face as if he was trying to engrave her face in his mind. Time stood still, Yang Jie was frozen on the spot, but his next words made her choke on her saliva"Marry me, Yang Jiang"


She stared at him like she was looking at a monster.


Yang Jie quickly stood up from the sofa. As she wanted to run to her room, to digest what that was all about, she found herself pushed down on the sofa. Yun Lin was on top of her, staring deep into her eyes.


" Hey what..what are you doing, get away from me you're drunk" Yang Jie tried her very best to push Yun Lin off of her but unfortunately she was no match for him.


"I am not drunk sweetheart, I'm perfectly sober" Yun Lin smiled as he looked at Yang Jiang.


After knowing that he had had enough of the teasing, Yun Lin got off Yang Jiang. He gave her a hand so that she could balance herself and sit.


Yun Lin walked into the bathroom and when he came back he had removed his mask. Yang Jie looked at him and a smile bloomed on her face.


" So you have finally decided to stop pretending haaa?" Yang Jie questioned.


Yun Lin stared at Yang Jie with widened eyes, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water desperate to breathe.


"Y..you..you knew?" He could not help but stammer out the question.


"Mmmh" was the only response Yang Jie gave.


Yun Lin could not help laughing out loud. All this time he has been trying to hide his identity from someone who knew him from the start. Consequently, he couldn't help but see himself as stupid.


He could not possibly imagine that he was playing his own game.


His Jiang was surely not stupid. It was a smart move though. It shows that she has sound judgment and it would not be easy to trick her or play with her. That's better for her security in the future, at least he won't worry as much.


In addition to that, now that they are going to be husband and wife, his enemies are now going to be her enemies as well. He has more of those foes than friends.


Yun Lin took Yang Jie's hands in his and brushed a kiss on her knuckles which made Yang Jie have goosebumps all over her body.


"I have something of significance I need you to know," Yun Lin suddenly became serious, putting his playfulness aside.


Yang Jiang had never seen him like that before. The look on his face told her it was nothing pleasant.


Yun Lin told everything in detail to Yang Jiang so that she could understand and get a grasp of how things were unfolding. Her sudden arranged marriage, the events leading up to it, as well as the solution to avoid marriage with Mo Zichen, were discussed.


Yun Lin thought that maybe Yang Jie would not understand him and might think of him as a person who takes advantage of people or situations. However, contrary to how he was expecting, Yang Jiang believed that Yun Lin had her true interests in mind when he proposed marriage to her. This will not only get Mo Zichen off her back but that lady won't set her up with another man since she would be a married woman already.


Mo Zichen could be kept away from the wedding banquet. However, if she can arrange for Mo Zichem to marry her, then she can always arrange for another man for her. By doing so, she can accomplish her goal of getting married.
