Chapter 47 "Shit."

Amber had spent two nights inside Jay's empty house waiting for Jay to be back but she had been waiting for days! Just as she was about to strangle the poor single matchmaker to death, she heard the familiar sound of Jay's car engine. She busted the usable door and ran into a pair of arms. She inhaled the scent she had missed, and snuggled right into Jay's chest.

"What's up?" Jay asked, Amber usually wasn't this 'clingy' and only greeted him with a smile or a 'hey Jay'.

"Nothing. I guess I just missed you." Jay walked Amber to the lounge couch and sat her down on his lap. "I want to stay like this for a while."

"En. Me too." Jay lightly pecked Amber's cheeks which flushed pink the instant his lips touched her cheeks. "Love you."

"Yeah me ---"

"Jay I got your new set of poison---" Michael burst into the house only to be shoved a hefty amount of dog food and a deadly glare from Jay. "I meant drinks! No- Medicine! You wanted the medicine right?"

Amber stood up and stomped her way to the briefcase Michael was holding and was about to grab it when Jay got to it first. He then ran off to his study and came back.

"You're suspicious!" Michael gulped at Amber's frightening tone of voice.

"Uh...I've gotta go! bye!"

As Michael ran like a mad bull right out the open door Amber slowly turned to look at Jay who was sitting on the couch, cold sweat starting to drench his t-shirt. "So....Jay...."

Jay flinched but quickly regained his senses and malfunctioning brain, he let out a simple nervous "Hm?" That's when Amber practically slammed into Jay's study door and dashed before he had a chance to react.

"JAY XAIVER!" He heard Amber yell at the top of her lungs in anger, perhaps with a teeny tiny bit of fury. Jay winced at the thought of what she would ordain from him, but shook the thoughts apart from the reality of things. Which was really bad....Really, REALLY bad.

"What is this JAY?!"

"M-my medicine mam'!" He straightened up and stood in a army-style rest stance as he stared at Amber opening one of the small tubes holding 10mls of light 'poison'. She gave a 'oh, is it?' look as she put the opening of the tube on to her lips about to drink the suspicious liquid.

"No, no no no." Jay hastily grabbed the tube from and he drank what was inside himself, but what he thought was 'light' dose of 'poison' it was really a much stronger dose of moderated 'poison' a far safer concoction to what Richard had which was [dichlorophenoxy-acetic acid]. He immediately read the coded label. [Diluted form of: chlordecone] "Shit."
