Jay's P.O.V

When I finally arrived at grandpa's place it was about 6 in the morning, grandpa is usually awake at this time. I go to the gates and a young man possibly the new fresh meat that had joined the security team. I figured that I would be stopped and asked who I was.
"Stop." The guard stepped forward.
"Can't I go into my own grandfather's house?" The guard looked taken a back and turned towards the other guard at the gates.
"I'm sorry Young Boss."
I nodded and went stepped through the gates. I was immediately greeted by the old house keeper that practically raised me, and even though she is old and having trouble walking instead of making her retire, I let her stay and help train the other house keepers and maids.
"Long time no see little chubby cheeks." The old house keeper lightly gave my right cheek a pinch.
"Hi Auntie Irene."
"How's your day so far? I heard you were hospitalized again."
"It was nothing much. I just worked too much and stressed over some problems." I said.
"Stop worrying me! This old auntie of yours is going to have a heart attack because of you!" Then, she grabbed my left cheek and pinched it hard, and just when I was about to scream I saw my grandpa coming down the stairs.
"Jay, to my study."
...
"So, first of all this is yours." He hands me an envelope, I take it in my hands and right away notice my mum and dad's initials signed at the corner of the page I had just taken out.
The first page was written by my mother.
'Dear, my little angel.
If you are reading this letter it must mean that you have finally started to shoulder the pain your mother and father has caused at such an young age. I am so, so sorry Jay. I'm sorry about not being there to watch you grow up to be a fine young man just like your father. I hope you are a gentleman when it comes to the girl you love, and I wish you the best of luck in your love life.
Again, this mother of yours is not by your side, but still I will be watching over you and I'll send down the purest and most whitest dove to watch over you and your family.
PS: Give your grandpa some grandchildren to spoil. Also, be gentle with the girl. (You know what I mean.)
Signed, Your mother. Y.X."

Jay sat there frozen as he read the letter carefully, word by word over and over again. As his eyes shed many droplets of tears he chuckled at his mother's shamelessness. His father once told him that one of the reasons that he fell in love with her was because she had a cute shameless side to her; and he guessed he was right.
Jace watched as his grandson hurriedly wiped away his quick-falling tears and took out the second page.
"Dear, my treasure Jay.
Hi son. It feels really weird writing to my son that is just right by my side. I know the good times will not last as the FA* will come barging in on a attack with your uncle. Who are the FA you may ask? Your grandfather will tell you that later. Why has your uncle betrayed us?
The reason is that I have stolen my brother's birthright as the second son. Your uncle, as the second son was supposed to get 30% of the commanding forces of the FL, but I couldn't let my fellow brother in arms and sister in arms into a demon's hands. I wouldn't let them be destroyed right from beside me and definitely not by my own foolish brother's hands.
Even if I have to sacrifice my life, I would not let this huge family die out. You're probably thinking and asking me 'was it worth it?'. Hmm... if I think about it, not being there by your side with your mother is my biggest and most heart-wrenching regret.
I hope you can come to forgive this horrible figure of a dad."
Jay couldn't hold the tears anymore, the past 13 years of feelings that he had bottled up deep inside, so deep so that he wouldn't feel a thing, so that he wouldn't be suffering. The bottled up feelings that slowly ate away his personality had been let open and the rush of all the pain, anger, sadness, heartbreak overwhelmed him like a tsunami.
Jace could only sit by him, pat his back while Jay let out all the tears he swallowed up.
