Chapter 5: Raiders

*Ding...New quest active: Find the source of the screaming*

While John was having some trouble to pin point where the screaming came from he saw an old elementary school covered in raider tags like blood smeared all along the outside walls written warnings or other nasty words, chains hooks attached to old victim's of there runs and slave pins with mix bunch people stuffed in them and raiders yelling and beating them for fun.'System what kind of attachments can I buy for my M4?' as I asked I keeper on scouting out the building and the surroundings area's.

*Ding Host can buy any attachments that are not locked via by level* Hearing that I smiled a little know how much chaos I could bring. 'Oh System is there a way to buy a mask from the game Army of two?' *Ding yes from host memories of perversely played games I have copied and fabricated many items and equipment for you to use*

'How much points to by a silencer night vision goggles and an Army of two ballistic mask?'

*Calculating total 21,000 survival points host has 50,000 unused would you like to purchase items Y/N?*

'Yes please.' As soon as I purchased the special 'gifts', as he was waiting for darkness he confirmed more raider riding on horses and carriages full of people and taking them towards the school. Now there were more than 30 plus raiders and maybe now 17 hostages 'Damn this an't gonna be easy' while checking his ammo and weapons. He started getting his vest and arm guards on, while he already had his kneecap protectors he was now inspecting the ballistic mask it looked like the grim reaper with the painted white skull face.

While it was dark now, he had to move a little closer from the hill he was at before to get a better sniping spot on the raiders. He looked at the side of the building and saw a generator running power to the whole school and decided it was a easy target to lure the raiders out so he can pick them off. As he turned off the generator he quickly ran back into the bushes and behind the tree to support his aim and soon as he was ready two came out to check it out.

Raider 1:"Now what the hell going on here?!"

while turning his flashlight on his shotgun to see what happened.

Raider 2:"Its probably those damn dogs pissin on it again, trun that son of bit-"

Nothing more came out of both raiders as I shot them from my hiding spot as I moved in and drags both the bodies into the woods I noticed a third raider coming from the entrance to check on the progress of the generator.

Raider 3: "Hey you two stop grabbing each other dicks and get a move on no one can hardly see in there!"

As the raider got closer he found nobody at the generator. He was puzzled by the lack of the two idiot's he started to search for them, while looking around he found a trail leading to some bushes.

While John saw the third raider looking for his friends, the raider noticed the trail John left from dragging the bodies. As the raider was coming closer to discovering the bodies John snuked up onto the raider and when the raider shined his light at the end of the trail he found his missing friends and before he could yell out no words left his mouth as John plunged his knife into base of the raider's skull silencing him for good. John stood over the bodies of the three he just killed and felt like he was doing good killing these men but also something leaving him, but now wasn't the time for that he had to take care of the remaining raider's before he could do anything about the hostages.

As I approached the schools main entrance I noticed some of voices coming from in the second floor talking about some random things like what's going on in the city or what's happening with more slavers coming from Paradise Falls, and how bad the super mutants are getting these day's just some random shit like that. As I made my way inside I saw the history that this place was made into from happy kids running around and learning to something that reminds you of the movie 'Devil's Reject's'. While I was moving along quietly I heard some whimpering coming from some cages in a classroom and a group of kids huddled around a girl that looked no more than 15 or 16 it was hard to guess on just looking at her while looking through the doorway. I was thinking about the possibility of getting them out of first but I think it's safer for them and me until I clear out the raider problem.

I made my way to the cafeteria and looked in there were a large amount of raider's and a handful of slave traders talking and discussing a fare amount of caps for selling the slaves and hostages between themselves. When an argument broke out and the attention of both parties were facing away from the cafeterias door I quickly bought a few C4 charges and planted the first one on top of the doorway and set one a far distance from the first one but couldn't trigger them while I had the remote. When I was making my way back towards the cages with the kids in them I stubbed upon a group of 6 raiders that came around the corner and saw me and as they reached for their guns I was quicker to the draw as I raised my Colt .45 and drow my knife I fired off four rounds into them only three made contact with their chest or neck one zipped past one ear while the three left ducked behind some overturned locker's I made my way to the cages I heard one of the raider's yelling for backup. I ducked into the room with the cages I saw all the kids huddled scared on what was going on as the sounds of bullets ripped into the doorway frame making wood and plaster exploding from contact I noticed the big group of raider's frome the cafeteria heard the gunfire I grabbed the detonator to the C4 and clicked them four time making sure the bombs went of and they did.

The two C4 charges went off sending fire and shrapnel into the unexpected group that were half way out of there and also sending the others into a panicking state. While they were busy in either in a state shock or a drunken rage right after seeing their friends being torn into flying pieces of limbs or other various parts, John went over to the cages and broke it open and said to them, "Hi kids I think it's time we get the hell out of dodge dont you think?" As he said this all of kids were in a shock on who this person was and if this was a test the raider's gave to them in the past. When he was about to say something a little girl from group screamed and pointed behind him, as he saw this he twisted around aiming his rifle back to the door as a raider popped into the classroom with a baseball bat he quickly tried to take out John by hitting him in the head but was surprised when John twisted around effortlessly and popped four rounds into his chest.

As John took him out he realized he almost lost his life by carelessly taking his eyes and guard off the door, and when he regained his thought he signalled the kids to follow him out and as they stepped out of the cage he also checked for collars but surprisingly he didn't find any on them and thinking that the raiders or slave traders took them off for expecting them, he now knew he had goodluck on finding none on them. As he told the older girl of the group of kids to head for megaton while he covers he hands her his Colt.45 to protect the kids, as he finished his sentence a shot whent off and clipped him on his side he fell down due to the impact hitting his body he turned around and saw a raider covered in blood standing there with his pistol aimed him and as he was going to say something another shot ringed out from behind hitting the raider in the neck making him it the ground while holding onto his neck trying to stop the bleeding but ended up choking on his own blood.

When John turned he saw the the older girl with his Colt holding it out in front pointed at the dead raider, as he was going to say something his body had to remind him of the new torn flesh of his side with a sharp pain going through him. He yelled in pain and as he died this the girl dropped to his side to check him she saw the bleeding and immediately tore off a piece of her skirt to use as a bandage for his side, he quickly pressed it down he gritted his teeth holding the pain at bay he told them, "Come on we have to get to Megaton before the comes up it should be behind those hills with the light shining behind them." As he said this the girl nodded and helped him up while telling the children to watch out for the rest of the raider's while they travel to Megaton.

As they walked for no more than thirty minutes the System called out to John, *Hosts vitals are dropping I'd advise Host to keep pressure on the wound to slow down the blood and prevent host from going into shock* When he heard that he released how much pain he's taken in his past life and into this one he was differently sure this one sucks more than anything. When they gotten closer to the town he felt light headed and tired, while he was thinking that he fell and passed out due to blood loss. *System going into emergency support to keep host living until getting help in the next hour* As I heard the notification I thought, 'While shit, so much for living the fallout dream, I hope these kids noticed I passed out and are getting me to megaton or this'll be a shitty ending for my new life.' As he worried he fell into a deep sleep taking all the care in the world away.
