CHAPTER 98: A WAVE OF SENSATION

Jarek rose to take the briefcase from her, placing it on the chair as he tugged her to her feet. His eyes locked with hers as Mary Jo said, "We're so glad you could come to dinner. Jarek has told us so much about you."

"He has? I mean—yes, of course."

Yes of course. She'd only slept in the same bed with him. He'd watched her yawn and stretch and—and he'd smoothed her thigh.

Mikhail extended his hand, taking hers. The height and the power and the smile were there, the likeness to Jarek. But Mikhail was smoothly polished, a businessman compared to the pirate, Jarek. "I understand that you wanted to meet me? I'm sorry about the mix-up in our appointments. Perhaps tonight we can enjoy my mother's Tex-Mex cooking, and at my office tomorrow, we can discuss business. You can find me when you are rested and comfortable. Please accept my offer of a courtesy room at the Amoteh until our business is concluded."
