As I waited for the hit, someone grabbed my shoulder. I looked to see JoeJoe.
"Didn't I tell you not to use your gift?" she asked, I shrugged.
"You probably did," I sighed, we both smiled.
I looked back to my wall to see streams of water joining to the cracks of the shield and adding extra range width ways and height ways.
"I recognise him, but why?" JoeJoe whispered to herself as she stood in a strong position, her mouse perched contently on her head.
"He's the one who brought our parents to death and us to a close one," I replied as Lucius stood on his tippy-toes and snatched the mouse off her head. They started talking between themselves as we stood and watched as the fire hit us.
"No way! Really? Why is he here?" she looked like she was thinking deeply.
"He came to finish me off," I say bluntly as I put more strength into my wall.
"Hmm, he seems overly confident in himself. It's extremely brave of him to assume he can even lay a finger on you," she said, her glowing eyes getting brighter and brighter by the second.
"It is," I agree with her, trying to add confidence to myself.
From the corner of my eye, I notice a flash of white light and quickly investigate it, it was Tim, he was standing up and creating shields over his fellow friends, once he finished he nodded at someone. On the other side was Zeke, he had just put a large ice barrier in front of the school.
"Rain twins! If you two can hold that for just a second longer, we can make this place safe enough for you to drop the wall," Zeke yelled to us, me and JoeJoe looked at each other before nodding to him and focusing on the wall again.
"You've got a lot of power, little sister," she says.
"Why thank you, you're not so bad yourself," I replied as we side stepped away from each other to try get a better range on the shields hold.
"Now!" Zeke yelled before covering himself in an igloo, Tim had slid himself into a ice sphere with Conrad and JoeJoe quickly crouched down. A globe of water took over her figure as she stayed close to the ground. I dropped my arms and grabbed the two familiars before spinning around and creating an ice tube around us.
An echoing crack filled the air as my wall of ice dropped down and the fire ran over it like it was nothing. It quickly dispersed into the atmosphere after hitting Tim's minefield of ice globes and the random bodies of L.I.A.R..'s men and then slamming into Zeke's wall.
My tube melted and I stepped forward. Rigolo stood weakly, breathing heavily. His familiar was on the ground clinging onto life. Rigolo just kicked it out of his way in anger.
"You're useless!" he yelled before kicking it again. I froze his leg.
"What do you think you're doing?" he asked me, I approached him and picked his familiar up and taking a couple steps back.
"You shouldn't hurt your familiar, or disregard their wish. What you're doing now, is against their code," I say, I felt like a robot, knowing what I was saying but not knowing why or how I'm saying it.
My sister joined me by my side.
"I believe you killed, not only my father, but also my mother and you attempted to kill us. Karma will catch up to you, soon enough," she said to him. He just looked at us, frowned but then smiled.
"whatever, I have dozens others. This won't be the last time you're graced with my presence," he says, pausing and then yelling, "everyone retreat or die!"
The sound of shattering ice sounded through the air and all the men and women from L.I.A.R.. jumped up and sprinted away after Rigolo, who had ran a few moments after saying his last words.
"What did he mean that he had 'dozens other' ?" I asked, turning around and seeing JoeJoe looking traumatised.
"I think... we need to go and speak to the up heads," she mumbles before turning and walking away, all the other supernaturals following after her.
"Come on," Zeke yelled at me, I looked up at the window and saw my friends looking out in confusion and detest. I sighed and nodded sadly, following after everyone.
I look back again, the school yard was now filled with students and teachers, they were all watching us leave in frustration.
