"Why are you here?" De Xi asked calmly but there was a slight annoyance and impatience in her tone.
"For what else if not to do his job of being a tail?" Mu Cong said as he chuckled dryly.
Mu Feng chuckled awkwardly as he waved at everyone lightly greeting them quickly before once again turning towards his beloved wife, Lu Meng.
A warm, endearing smile bloomed on his face, which stunned the latter momentarily before her indifferent face broke out in a sweet smile, the former then engulfing her tightly in an endearing hug while purring like a cat.
De Xi wordlessly threw the two a disgusted look and went upstairs, without wasting another minute.
"It is a miracle Eva did not curse them," George said in bewilderment as he seemed he was about to throw up.
George also stood up and followed De Xi upstairs to her study, escaping from the dog food which would be shoved down his throat any minute now.
All others looked at the two who ran away upstairs and then at the couple who were hugging each other longingly in confusion.
The next second they knew the answer to their confusion. Lu Meng broke the hug and pulled Mu Feng into a fierce kiss.
The scene seemed like a big bad wolf taking advantage of a naive little rabbit, where Lu Meng was the big bad wolf and Mu Feng was the naive little rabbit.
The older generation was flabbergasted and shocked at the same time, whereas the younger generation silently cursed the duo who fled upstairs and accepted the dog food in defeat.
Natalia, James, Liam, Nova, and Sam who were already used to this were witnessing the scene nonchalantly but all other kids were flustered and dumbfounded by the hot, passionate kiss unfolding before them.
Li Chen and Lu Chao were the most flustered, as they did not understand which of their cousin's eyes to protect first.
"Year by year your shamelessness is growing by leaps and bounds, at the least spare these little ones from your dog food." George complained and saved the entire living room from further PDA.
De Xi looked at them nonchalantly as she descended the stairs with a black leather document in her hand.
She walked towards Mu Feng and handed him the document before looking at the flustered boys and excited girls.
"Meng, don't spoil my girls like you, let them be a bit restrained and enjoy their lives like normal girls do." De Xi said calmly like she was talking about the weather.
"As if you were restrained, sister-in-law. Did you not kiss my brother just for the game? My poor the then virgin brother was so shocked." Lu Meng said in an accusing tone, but the teasing look in her eyes said otherwise.
"Really?" Natalia asked in surprise and excitement. She looked at her paternal aunt in excitement and anticipation for more.
Even Lu Chao and other kids were surprised by this revelation. Lu Chao and Li Chen looked towards the duo in question with surprise and seeking confirmation.
De Xi coldly glared at Lu Meng before looking at her son and other kids seriously for a moment, while trying to form a plausible explanation.
"It is not like how your aunt described." at the end De Xi just helplessly, half-denied, half-agreed to Lu Meng's revelation.
"Then what is it like Mom?" Natalia asked as she smiled mischievously.
"You seem very interested in my things, why not instead care about yours, as it seems you have a lot of homework to deal with?" De Xi said calmly as a wintry smile formed on her lips.
Something clicked inside Natalia as she immediately looked towards her white gold wristwatch with wide eyes.
The next moment she knew the time, Natalia rushed upstairs towards her study, leaving everyone in the living room in confusion.
"What happened?" Lu Chao asked questioningly, as he looked at his mother in confusion.
"She has a lot of home assignments to complete." De Xi said with a small assuring smile.
"But it is still morning now." Lu Chao said as he looked at his mother, still full of confusion.
"She has a sword dance lesson scheduled in another two hours, so she has to complete her other work before that." De Xi explained patiently.
"How long is the lesson?" Lu Chao asked curiously.
"four hours, including the warm-up and stretching. Why do you ask?" De Xi answered him and questioned him back with an amused smile.
"Won't she have time after her lesson, why so much hurry?" Lu Chao asked with a small frown on his exquisite jade-like face.
De Xi just smirked lightly but said nothing, further confusing Lu Chao.
Others except Lu Bai did not understand what her smirk meant either but knew it was nothing good for the poor girl who was currently upstairs.
"But, why sword dance?" Mother Lu asked curiously.
"When we went to Shanghai two years back, Uncle Guang arranged for a Peking Opera, followed by a Sword Dance show. Natalia was very impressed and wanted to learn them, but I only let her learn Sword Dance as it was more useful for her body." De Xi explained as elaborately as possible.
"Natalia has been to China?" Grandpa De and Grandma Lu asked in unison, whereas all others, except the Mu family and George, were shocked by this new piece of information.
"And not only Guang knows about it but also met with you two?" Grandpa Fang asked in surprise and shock.
The other elders looked towards Father Feng and glared at him, some angrily, some with resentment and jealousy.
Whereas Father Guang just chuckled awkwardly, looking towards De Xi, asking her to rescue him from this dangerous situation.
"I asked Uncle Guang to not say anything about our visit to Shanghai to anyone of you." De Xi said calmly, without any guilty conscience.
"There was nothing on the news either?" De Xiu asked questioningly in confusion.
