Happily Ever After

It's been four days since Sinclair and I had come to Bora Bora. We were both so happy. Every day there was a new adventure for us, whether it was jet skiing, wine tasting, going to the aquarium, or just taking long walks along the beach and shopping. This was the most fun I had in a long time; Sinclair always brought out the best in me. I woke up early one morning and looked around. Seeing Sinclair out of bed, I looked out by the pool and saw him setting up breakfast. I smiled softly and got out of bed; grabbing my silk robe, I wrapped it around me and then walked out to him. "Good morning, sunshine." He kissed my head, and I smiled softly. "You're up really early." "I thought it'd be good to enjoy the sunrise together." I smiled at him, and I took my seat at the small table. He poured me a cup of coffee, and I took a sip before looking at the water.

I smiled as the light from the sun barely came into view, starting to peek over the skyline. "So today, I've scheduled us snorkeling followed by a lunch cruise." I looked over at Sinclair and smiled as we started to eat. "What time?" "Well, around one so we have time to do whatever you want." I took his hand and smiled widely. My phone started to ring, and I grabbed it before returning to Sinclair's side. I saw that Nevaeh was calling me on Facetime. I answered and saw Elijah and Elena on the camera. "Awe, hey, you two! Mommy misses you!" "Daddy too!" I smiled as they lay on the bed, looking bigger and bigger every day. They were now six months, and time was flying fast. I wanted them to stay babies forever. I wanted them never to feel pain a day in their lives, but I knew it would happen, and I knew I had to be there to hold them when that time came.

I smiled at them as they kicked their feet around and giggled. "Eli, you better be taking care of your sister." I laughed at Sinclair, and then Nevaeh came on the camera. "They both are doing wonderful. What beautiful angels." "Thank you so much for keeping them while we are away, Nevaeh." "Oh, no need to thank me, I'm their grandmother. It's my job." I smiled at her widely, "Okay, I just wanted to show you guys the amount of cuteness you're missing; enjoy your last day. I want pictures!" Sinclair and I smiled as she blew us both a kiss and then hung up. I looked over at the sunrise, and I snapped a quick picture with my phone. Sinclair chuckled, and after eating, we walked inside and showered. Sinclair gave me an outfit that he bought for me. It was a long red sheer dress with a gold belt. I put on a red and baby blue bikini underneath before slipping on my shoes.

"Sinclair, are you ready?" I smiled as he walked out of the bathroom and grabbed a waterproof camera. "Ready, baby." We walked out to the car and then checked the time. "How about we go shopping first? Then we can head to the beach for snorkeling." He nodded and started driving. We spent all morning at the mall and shopping before taking our things back to the bungalow. We walked down to the beach, and I took off my shoes to feel the sand on my feet. The soft feeling of the damp sand made me smile as we walked to the boat. "Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Russell." The instructor helped me up on the boat, and Sinclair followed me as we took our seats. As the driver took us to the site, the instructor explained everything. The more she described, the more nervous I got; seeing me getting scared, Sinclair grabbed my hand and whispered. "Take a deep breath, okay." I nodded and took a deep breath as the boat came to a stop. He stood and took our wet suits from the instructor, "Okay, let's do this." I smiled at him, and I stood up, taking off my dress. Sinclair helped me put on mine then he did the same with his. We put on our masks and flippers and then got into the water.

Sinclair took my hand and smiled as we dived together, with the instructor following. I looked around as I stayed close to Sinclair, and I smiled at the beautiful sight. The sun beamed through the ocean surface to light up the white sand on the bottom. So many colorful fish swam past us, and I couldn't help but stare in awe. Sinclair pulled me close as the instructor took a few pictures of us. This was the best experience of my life, and I got to do it with the love of my life. After an hour, we went back to the beach, and we got on our private lunch cruise. We sat down at the head of the boat, eating and drinking wine. "How was the honeymoon, baby?" I looked over and smiled at Sinclair as I nodded. "It was amazing. Thank you so much for this experience." "You deserve everything, and there isn't anything I wouldn't do for you." He smiled at me and grabbed my chin, kissing me deeply.

As we slowly pulled away, I smiled and pulled out my phone. I laid my head on his shoulder and took a picture of us. "I love you, Sinclair." "I love you, Octavia." I sat in his lap, and we kissed once more before holding each other as we looked at the water. After our cruise, we returned to the bungalow and packed our bags. "I wish we could stay forever." Sinclair laughed and hugged me from behind. "Then we wouldn't see our babies." "I know, I know." He smiled and kissed my cheek before letting go. We grabbed our things and packed the car before going to the airstrip. After hours of flying, we made it home; walking inside, it was so silent. "Did your mom take the kids to her house?" "Not that I know of." I made my way upstairs as Sinclair grabbed the bags. Walking through the house, I searched for Nevaeh until I found her deep asleep.

I smiled, then walked out and made my way to the twin's room to also find them asleep. I stood over their cribs and smiled. I just wanted to pick them up and kiss them all over. "I had a feeling you'd be in here." I turned to find Sinclair standing in the doorway, smiling. Walking over, he grabbed my hand and smiled down at the twins. "I missed them so much. Man, I wish they were awake." I giggled as he took the words right out of my mouth. We both stood there smiling at our beautiful angels as I wrapped my arms around him. This is how we were meant to be; nothing else mattered. I knew whatever challenges we were going through, Sinclair had my back, and I had his. We'd both protect each other and our babies. This was our happily ever after, and we finally got it…
