A drunken night - II

The night had barely started for both of them and Evelyn was enjoying alcohol to the fullest. Her father had gone out of the country for two days and she had broken out of all her restrictions.

It was easier for her to escape given that every guard for her was heartbroken and was sleeping in her room where she had snuck out successfully.

"Tequila is life!" She screamed over the music to her newly made friend Marcelo.

"I know!" He yelled back and threw back another shot. "Hey you should try this with this."

He placed a lemon in her hand along with another glass of short. Without thinking twice of anything Evelyne followed his actions.

"Ugh. . ." The taste burned her mouth but satisfied her truly. This was soo good!

"More!" She pointed to the bartender who immediately got to work.

She turned around to see Marcelo already working his way towards a woman and she seemed to enjoy it too. She smiled and turned around to drain the shot again. Damn, she groaned.

"Evelyn?" She turned around to find Aldo standing there and she grinned at him, bestowing him the sight of her thirty two teeth-three if the elephant one were to be counted as well.

"Well?" He barked, "what in heaven are you doing here?"

" Drinking?" She showed him a shot and gulped it like a pro. " I am a pro, am I not? Just learned it today."

Aldo sighed, " we—"

"Your skin is flushed already." She observed, "you are drunk too. Come sit with me." She said as she parted the barsroof next to her.

"Well . ." He stared at it, what could go wrong here? Her father must know and drinking together was no big matter.

He shrugged and sat down, ordering a drink for himself. "So, what are you doing here?"

"Celebrating." Her answer was almost immediate.

" What?"

She blinked and he watched as she shrugged after, "Something." She nodded to herself. "I don't know though but I think I'll drink on two occasions only."

"Oh?" He smirked, "Let me hear them,"

"One; when I have something to celebrate and two; when I don't."

"What an intelligent answer, Evelyn," he clapped his hands and she grinned at him, "an achievement that is."

"What were you doing here?"

She watched him thinking about it and how confused he appeared to be. Aldo had been a good friend of hers but it was obvious that even though they had a good friendship going on, family secrets were kept out of the friendship until it was something very important and was going to be made public soon.

"My mother is unwell," he winced as if in pain, "I can be told that she might have cancer. We are not sure but we are not optimistic as well.

"oh. . ." She immediately placed a sympathetic hand on his shoulder and rubbed it slightly. Losing a parent would be really hard, more than anyone could ever imagine.

Asselin asked for another reason for both of them and they drank the night away. It was always the both of them now wanted silence as they both thought about different things. Evelyn wondered how it was that she had fallen in love so quickly and never noticed if the guy even paid her attention enough to be called a boyfriend.

How could she have been so naive?

She turned to look at the silent man next to her and stared at the side profile of his.

He was handsome, no doubt there.

"Hey Aldo," she called and he looked.

"Wha—"

She silenced him with her lips on his. Even though Evelyn had not yet been close to losing her virginity she had an awful lot of experience in kissing.

"What are you doin?" He slurred as she pulled back, equally drunk.

"Want to get out of here?" She asked him whose eyes immediately snapped to her as if he was checking for confirmation to know what she was talking about.

"Yes," he answered as he grabbed his car keys.
