The hunter association

Jack was given 2 weeks school suspension. He has been at home for the past few days. Jack was in his room lying on his bed with his headphones on, listening to music when he see a slipper was flying my way.

Jack caught it with his left hand but he wasn't expecting another slipper following it. He was hit right on the face.

"HEY! What was that for?" Jack asked irritated. He took of his headphones.

Then he see Rose standing by the door. She appeared out of nowhere. She wasn't there a second ago.

Rose was leaning on the door frame with her hands crossed on her chest. The replacement door hasn't been delivered yet by the carpenter soJack's room is open.

"I've been calling you how many times now." Rose said looking irritated.

"Sorry. I was wearing my headphones." Jake said apologetically.

"Get dressed. I'm taking you somewhere." Rose said walking away.

"Where?" Jack asked.

"You'll know when we get there." Rose's voice was now in the ground floor.

Rose and Jack were driving for at least two hours now. They have drove thru two cities and few towns along the way.

They were near the third city when Rose took a turn on a road. It was lined with huge trees. At the end of the road was a big gate.

Rose slowed down when they were getting near and made a full stop in front of the gate. At the gate on the driver's side was a small computer screen.

'SCAN HERE' the words were written on the screen.

Rose opened her car window and pressed her left palm on the screen. The screen then had a red light that started to scan Rose's palm.

'Scan complete. Welcome back Ms. Rose Blackwood.' A female digital voice said from the screen.

'Click clang creak' the huge gates were now being opened.

Rose then drove forward.

"Where are we?" I asked very curious. We have been driving for at lest 20 minutes more after entering the gate.

"We are now in the hunters association Europe branch head quarters." Rose explained.

Jack was not that surprised. He knew that eventually he would come to the hunter's head quarters. But he didn't imagine he will be here this early.

He hasn't come of age yet. Which is one of the requirements of being a hunter's apprentice.

At a distance Jack saw a huge castle. It was of medieval design and it looks like a hundred years old.

Rose parked the car and they exited.

Jack was now getting nervous. He knows that there will be an assessment before being an apprentice hunter. His heart was beating fast.

"Nervous?" Rose asked while they are walking towards the entrance.

"I'll be lying if I said I'm not." Jack said. "What kind of assessment will they do? Will it be a written test? Or an actual fighting exam?"

"Relax. I got your back." Rose winked.

"Ms. Rose. Welcome back." An old man wearing a butler uniform welcomed them by the entrance. His hair was all white and he has a mustache. "Young Master Jack, it's a pleasure to meet you. Welcome to the Europe branch."

It has been a while since someone called him young master again. It was like he wasn't used to it.

"This way, please follow me. The director is waiting." The butler said.

Rose and Jack followed him. They walked along the hallway and up the grand staircase. In the second floor they walked along the corridors. They climb another flight of stairs.

After walking for some minutes they have reached a door.

"The director is inside. Please go in." The butler opened the door for then and they entered.

The doors closed behind them. Jack looked at the interior of the room. It has a wood and brown theme.

A huge desk was situated at the far side of the room just before the windows. A chair's back was facing them.

"Welcome to the hunter association Jack Cloud Bradford." A male's voice was heard from the chair. The chair slowly turned to face them.

Jack saw a man in his late 20's with long silver hair flowing down his head. His eyes were the same silver color. He was wearing a black turtle neck shirt and suit.

"The heir to the Bradford family." The man said with a smile. He leaned on his desk. "You have grown to be a fine young lad."

"I'm Falco Von Fritz. The director of the hunter association." The man introduced himself.
