Shikamaru Nara was going to sleep after his first birthday celebration when he was bombarded with visions of memories, barren wastelands of destruction and pale horned being destroying everything in their path, He was there as well with a blond-haired man with a golden Cloak and an Uchiha, trying to minimise the damage, the last thing he saw was a blast of energy from the eye in the beings palm before waking up screaming.

Kaguya Otsutsuki, He now had a name and a brief description of her prowess, what was humbling was that he was going to be up against Gods, an ancient clan of Celestial beings that travelled throughout dimensions seeking out worlds cultivated with the God Tree. Once they find such a world, they harvest the god trees' fruit so that they can use their chakra to gain power and prolong their lives. 


With that he was done with his information-gathering mission, he had obtained enough information to plan his next move, he decided to take as long as he can to make the decision, he created a shadow clone to take his place and decided to reverse-summon himself to the summon realms. He didn't do this to obtain a summons but was intrigued by the twilight forest filled with deer's like ethereal Shadows, but he would leave that for later, fully sinking himself into nature and erasing his presence, he dropped deep into his mindscape to plan and realise them.


It took a year for him to use his knowledge to find a feasible plan for combatting the Otsutsuki, And he had already planned out everything, now he only needs to start, so for the first step he needs a location for his people to prepare in safety, and he was already in the best place.
