The Park (1)

After their brunch together the two ladies separated paths as Jessica left for work and Jian was left alone at home. Jian chose to reply to Mister Brown's emails and to get the website ready.

She was working on her website when she got a call, she answered without much thought, "Hello?"

"You are that eager to answer my call?" John teased.

Jian smiled as her eyes drifted from the computer and found the dress she said."Oh, No, not really, but now that you called I have a few questions for you."

John stopped laughing and asked, "What's up?"

She smiled her tone was light as she said, "The sky, but that's not what the questions are about. I remember you said you like photography, right?"

His tone was affirmative answering her question as if answering a sergeant's question, "Yes ma'am."

Jian sighed, "John I need your help with a project, are you free tomorrow afternoon?"

He had a light and teasing tone as he answered, "I am free as long as you are buying." She closed her eyes thinking, "He really is a flirt."

Before John could deliver another line she said, "That's great, so can you meet me at Central Park tomorrow?"

"What time?" He asked his voice disappearing. She didn't pay much attention as she replied, "Around 2 and till maybe 3 or 4 depends on whether you are a good photographer."

He was mumbling something to someone else as he heard her reply and he immediately replied with, "Hey I have a natural talent for photography, I don't know what you are talking about."

She laughed a little at his defensiveness. He continued to defend himself saying, "Hey! I am serious. I am a great photographer!"

She sighed and said, "I believe you are what you said but that doesn't change the fact that I still haven't seen any examples of how "Great" your skills are." She changed her tone a little while saying the word great.

John frowned, as he asked, "I haven't shown you any of my work?" She didn't waste her time and replied immediately, "Nope."

He sighed, "What's your email? I will send them to you immediately." Jian smiled, "It's jijiankikim@gmail.com." After her reply, they talked for a few minutes before she ended the call and started working on a few other designs.

She worked till midnight before calling it a day and heading to bed. Her dinner was skipped as she had no time. She was looking forward to the next day, as she drifted into her dreams.
