Fabric Shopping (1)

The next day Jian woke up to her mother knocking on the door. She blinked confused as Jessica walked inside with a cup of tea in her hands. "Good morning, It's passed 11," she said noticing Jian searching for her phone.

"Thank you," Jian said as she reached for the tea. Jessica smiled passing it over saying, "It's alright, just get ready soon so that we can go to the fabric district. It's going to take a long time to shop." Jessica then walked out of Jian's room to her own. Jian got up from the bed after a few sips of tea to shower and get ready.

She wore a pair of jeans with a black turtle neck and some accessories. She then chose a pair of black sneakers to make sure her day was comfortable, then walked out of her room with a bun, and a bag over her shoulders. Her mother wore something such as a pair of long trousers with a dressy blouse and an oversized blazer all in shades of brown.

"Ready?" Jessica asked as she grabbed the keys from the shelf. "Yes," Jian replied as she walked towards the door. They walked down the stairs checking to make sure they had everything.

The ride to the fabric district was quiet and peaceful as the two listened to a few songs from Jian's playlist. They hummed to the songs as the busy traffic was passing by. The two parked and walked towards an old shop far from the streets.

"Mother, are you sure this is a good shop?" Jian asked as Jessica led them down the alleyway. "Don't worry this is a friend's shop, and she is looking forward to your visit," Jessica said as they arrived at an old antique shop.

"Jessica is that you?" A voice asked as the two walked inside. There was a woman with long braided hair in a silk top, and baggie jeans said. Her eyes were different and as Jessica hugged her old friend she commented on the difference. "Isabella, are you alright, your eyes are looking a bit different than normal?" She asked holding her by the arms.

Isabella smiled at her saying, "You worry too much, I am fine, just a little blurry vision, you know genetics." She said and moved back as Jessica let go of her arms. Isabella moved away from Jessica to Jian who was looking at the fabrics in the shop and said, "You must be Jian, it's a pleasure to meet you, my name is Isabella." Isabella extended her hands which Jian took to shake and said, "Nice to meet you, Isabella, I love the fabrics in the store."

Isabella smiled reaching to feel the fabric that Jian was looking at, she held it for a split second before saying, "Thank you, do you have a preference?"

Jian smiled pulling out the notebook she had bought out from her bag as she said, "I am looking for some solid colors, but something sheer and flower." Isabella nodded before walking towards a different section and feeling the fabric as she walked, "How is this one?" She asked as she held a roll of fabric with orange roses on a light blue background.

Jian smiled as she said, "Yes! Sorry, but this is perfect. Do you have any sold colors?" She asked as Isabella moved away and continued to show Jian more fabrics. Jessica walked along a different section of the shop as she watched Jian and Isabella talk. She was just happy to see Jian enjoy her day.
