Model's Fitting

The two spent the morning cleaning up the living room and getting the dresses ready. It was around noon when the doorbell rung and Jian smile going towards it.

"Hey," they said as they all walked inside finding a seat. "Great to see you guys again, so I finished everything but there's a last-minute addition that I am doing so I want to get those attached today," Jian said as she pointed towards the chains on the table.

"Jian, stop stressing," Jasmin said and Jian smiled saying, "I am a little nervous, you all know this." They laughed as Chloe sighed saying, "Get the dresses out babes, we'll figure out the rest later."

Jian smiled glancing at John as he got the first dress from out and Jian smiled saying, "So as you all know the theme is elements, but I do have one concern, it's about Izzie your dress. I know you'll fit into it but I am worried if it's too sheer."

Izzie smiled saying, "You might be one of the few designers concerned about nudity, don't worry it'll be fine, plus this wouldn't be the first time someone's shown a little too much."

Jian nodded smiling at John who brought out all the dress forms. "Jian this is gorgeous," Nora said looking at the short red dress. Jian smiled saying, "Try it on, oh remember the choker I promised you, the chains finally arrived so I can get to making that now."

"What about this one's straps?" Ruth asked and Jian pointed towards the table saying, "The length of the straps are accurate, but I want to check if the chain can hold the dress and I already changed out the front closer so I can show you how to do those. For today I want everyone to get a feel of these dresses so nothing is too uncomfortable."

"Do you guys want anything to drink?" John asked as he walked towards the kitchen. The ladies gave him their orders while Jian helped them get changed. John smiled placing the drinks on the table before heading towards Jian's room grabbing a few needles and threading them while he sat down.

"Nora, about the cape we discussed, do you still want to do it?" Jian asked helping her zip up the back of the dress. Nora smiled saying, "Of course, you promise I wouldn't get hurt though, right?"

Jian nodded saying, "I tested out a few of them already, all you have to do is step out towards the center and use the lighter to set the flash paper cape on fire. I made a few extras so we can test them out today." Nora nodded as Izzie smiled asking, "Jian, have you decided on the order for us yet?"

"Yes, I think we should do Nora first since the flash paper would grab the attention of the audience, then we can do Ruth to calm them down. Then, next would-be Izzie, then Chloe, and last but not least Jasmin," Jian said moving over to help Jasmin with the corset.

"I think that's a good order," Chloe said as she helped Ruth with the closers. Jian sighed finishing up the bow on the corset.

"So, I will start with Ruth's dress, and you all can relax in the meantime," Jian said and they nodded as Ruth got up walking towards the table. "Here you go," John said passing her a threaded needle while she picked up the bulky silver chain.

"Ruth let me know if I poke you, and John can you cut the chain once I measure the right amount," Jian said as she started by attaching the chain to the front of the dress making the stiches as invincible before gently lowering it to the back and telling Johnny to cut the chain.

Then she moved onto the other side doing the same before getting rid of the straps. Jian then moved on to the other dresses attaching the chains in a pleasing manner so that they didn't overcrowd the dresses. They finished within a few hours and the models left after. John started to clean while Jian finished sewing on all the chain trying to get them to be as beautiful as possible.

"Jian, I am home," Jessica said walking inside she carried a few bags as she walked towards the kitchen. "Hi Miss Kim," John said as Jian looked up asking, "Mom, where did you go?"

"Oh, I went out the city for a bit, I had an appointment with acquaintance," Jessica said placing the fruits away and Jian frowned asking, "I though you said you were going out to get groceries?" She paused before sighing as she closed her eyes.

"Jian," Jessica said her tone cold as she opened her eyes, she turned with a gentle smile asking softly, "What would you like for dinner?" Jian sighed she understood her mother wanting to avoid the topic, so she stopped pressing saying, "I am craving chicken and rice, but pan-fried chicken."

Jessica nodded as she washed her hands before walking towards her room. Jian sighed leaning back as John glanced at her, he had stayed quiet not wanting to get in the way of the two as they talked but he could tell there was something bothering Jessica.
