Tony woke up to a really bad smell.
"Ughh..." He groaned, while rolling of the bed onto the ground.
*sigh*"So yesterday wasn't just a bad dream..." Murmured Tony while looking at the urine that he left under the wall yesterday.
Sighting once again he cleaned up the mess he made and went to bathroom to bath. Luckily in these times it was normal for house to have private water tank and heating system.
Soon enought he came out and sat on a chair in his living room.
"What to do now..." He wondered. After a while he decided to check the internet, radio and television. He quickly made his way to his bedroom, which doubled as study, started the laptop.
"...No internet huh, figures..." Tony was disappointed, even through he already kind of expected this result. Next he went back to living room and started up both the TV and radio.
TV was the same as internet, no station was avabile, radio however has given him a sliver of hope. On every radio channel there was the same thing, a message to survivors:
"To All Survivors, This Is Mike Ragetooth From Militia Stand. The Virus Has Spread Through The Earth And Our Plane Is Now Considered A Dead Zone For The Alliance. The Only Hope For Us Is To Stand Together, Against Virus And It's Mutations. As Of Now There Are 2 Cities In Australia That Has Not Fallen Yet, They Are Darwin And Ceduna. There Is Food, Water And Shelter. We Are Waiting For You." It broadcasted twice every three hours, and he turned the radio on just in time to hear that. Tony was overjoyed since he lived in Southport, that's 30 minutes of driving using shuttle car.
Almost immedietly Tony started preparing for the road ahead. He was almost ready when he remembered - There were abominations running outside, if he was caught by them... Just at that thought, Tony started shivering.
Even through Tony was scared, he knew that he need to go outside, even if not to go to Darwin, then to get some food, which he needed. Soon enough he calmed down and started walking in circles around his house, thinking aloud.
"What to do, what to do... I don't have much food, at most till day after tomorrow... Come on Tony! Think! What would the characters from web novels do! Get away obviously, but how! I don't have martial background, I don't even have any weapon! Imean who the hell would predict that the virus would cover over third of Earth in a night! Fuck! What to do! What do I fuckning DO!" Once again Tony snapped at the helplessnes of his situation.
An hour or so passed when he finally calmed down once again.
"Slowly... Okay, first is my situation, In my house I can only last till day after tomorrow, I have no weapon nor do I even know how to use it... Damn it! I'm stupid! My landlord is known for his love of weapons! He might even have some food! Next is... Transportation... I need to get to my car, somehow... Run? No, it's on the other side of the street... I need to clear it, preferably at nig, no at evening, it's before the zombies time I think and the abominations should go to their lairs already... Okay, it's decided - First get a weapon, then get to my car." Finally thre hours of planning, Tony decided on his next, or rather first moves.
He walked over to the window, he covered earlier, took a deep breath and glanced outside. "It's noon already, I need to get going." Having said that he started finishing packing up.
"That's all, now a weapon..." Tony said to himself and started looking around. He walked around his home before finally going near his table and knocking it over. The next thing he did was picking up an iron statuette, which he then used as a hammer at the table's leg.
"There we go..." He stood up with his primitive weapon and slowly walked to the door, while preparing himself mentally.
"On Three... One..."He placed his left hand on the handle, left as his right was holding the table leg."Two..."He clenched it, or rather both- the handle and his weapon."Three!"He half-shouted, opening the doors wide and preparing to strike down, whatever could be waiting to chomp on his throat, behind it. The first thing that he noticed was the corridor, suprisingly, even with the apolypse going on outside it was in pristine condition. Confused he first looked around it, from one end to the other, from stairs up to stairs down.
Finnaly he walked out of his apartment and confusedly asked himself.
"It's... Normal?" Tony was shocked with it. Before you start making some assumptions, you need to remember the fact that abominations couldn't really be considered to have good table manners, example of which was lyiing outside.
"Okay... Let's get going?"He said as he scratched his head walking towards the stairs leading down, to the ground floor.
"And I was wandering why it was so clean upstairs..." Mumbled nauseus Tony upon seeing the scene unfolding before him.
It turned out that almost all of the residents, the one that he knew of at least were siiting downstairs whent the Virus struck. That alone doesn't explain the clear upstairs, but what explains it was the addition brought by Virus later on, that is - Zombies. Apparentely during the time he was down and when he was preparing, some of the residents 'awakened', and when they did they reacted as any normal zombie would do- that is jump upon the buffet, or rather leftovers prepared by their cousins.
Zombies started from the tastiest treats, that is the flesh, next after they reached bones, which they couldn't bite through, they went on to drink their life-blood. Literaly. They started licking the blood of the floor. Soon all that was left was some bones which were not left alone for long, the hungry beings started to bite on them-ceaselessly and meaninglessly. Their jaws weren't strong enought to bite through them.
There was also a smarter one. He noticed the abudancy of 'food' lying outside the building. It tried to get through the door but alas... The door was closed, as abominations wasn't cultured enought to open it and insted it crashed right through the window.
As of nowthe zombies found out, that their brethens were apparently walking delicacies. Tony walked in just in time to see two of the five zombies being devoured alive - or rather unalive.
After death and rebirth, mind wasn't the only thing that was lost - they also lost their eyesight. You wonder how they hunt? Simple - through smell and sounds, mainly through the former. If so, it's easy to imagine their reaction when they smelled Tony.
They instantly turned towards him, even the ones which were half-eaten and slowly, but surely they started moving over in hopes of finaly catching a fresh prey.
Seeing them Tony froze up for a second before finaly deciding to use their slow wits against them, he quickly run down the stairs and used the now-polished table as a baricade, what he didn't expect was the fact, that the mopment he started running, the zombies sped up as well - not too much, nut just enought for one to get through the barricade. Seeing this, Tony prepared his weapon for a swing at it's head and... Run away towards the corridor, throwing the table leg at the zombie in hopes of being able to escape faster.
{RunTony, Run!} Tony thought to himself while running down the corridor with, what seemed to be his record-breaking speed... Which wasn't so good, rather - he was even below the average.
Luckily for Tony, the zombie was far worse, limping at about half his speed.
Tony run till the moment when he saw the doors at the end of the corridor, he knew that this was his land-lords home. At this moment, he thought about all the zombies waiting to take the bite out of him, whit the one bihinde him at the forefront. At this moment he thought...
"Fuck that... JERONIMO!!!" Our not-so-brave hero shouted as he decided to ram the door.
*Thum*
So sounded the dull sound of Tonybouncing back from the door and falling onto the floor.
"Ouch... That hurts." He quickly got up, and tried to open the door, which unfortunately....

Kidding...
...which unfortunately for the zombies opened easly, after using the handle.
Tony went red inthe face from the embarrassment before quickly forgetting it and shutting the door behind him.
"Huuf..." The moment the door securely shut, behind him, he breathed a sight of relief, before slumpig down to the floor - now that the adrenealine was gone.
"Haah, haah, ha... haha, hahahahah, Hahahaha!" Tony started laughing insenly out of nerves, before finaly calming down after a few minutes.
"Huu... I'm not sure, whether I was lucky or unlucky." He said as he stood up. "Well, now I need to find a weapon."So he said and the search begun...
...
"Is that a gun!!!"Shouted Tony, before pulling the item from behind the besk."This is! A water gun... Really?"
...
"Another Pellet Gun..."
...
"Oh, now we have a fire ax, huh... Is it from foam?" Questioned irritated Tony, throwing the ax away, when...
*CRASH* Sounded out the... Sound? of a broken glass, from cabinet, hit by supposedly foam blade of an ax.
"Fuck!" Shouted Tony. "That gave me a scare... Wait, is that ax real?"
He started tearing up after initial scare as he has been searching for a real weapon for quite a while now.
"Finaly... A. Real. Fucking. Weapon! Not some imitation!" He celebrated for a while.
"Okay. I have everything I have, I'm packed, have weapon and took some supplies from the landlord. Now I need to break through to my car."
Tony stepped behined the door, behind which, one could hear weak beating against it. Tony was sure, that the one who beat at the door was his undead friend. He prepared to strike at the behind-the-door zombie and quickly opened it, dealing a vicius blow, which cut half-way through it's neck.
Luckily, since Tony was hiding behind the door, the blood which spurted from the zombie's neck didn't menage to hit him.
Sensing that the zombie was still 'unalive', Tony kicked at the zombies body in order to separate the ax form it's neck, all while he was mostly hidden.
He shown himself from his 'shield' and struck, once again - this time succesfully separating the head from the body
"Haa... Haa..."Tony swayed, then... "URGhhh!!" Started vomiting, all over the floor.
Pale Tony, waited a moment to calm down, then left swaying, moving towards the lobby, in which the zombies still haven't menaged to get over the table. He looked at them for a second, before leaving to get his things.
After he brought his baggage, he noticed a bottle of vodka, which gave him an idea. He went back to the decapitated body, torn a piece of the now dead zombie, then returned. After he returned, he searched his baggage for a lighter, which he found. Next, he opened the bottle of vodka, soaked the piece of cloth with it, then tucked it into the bottle neck. He finshed making molotov.
After doing that, he walked over to the 3 struggling zombies and started to hit their heads with his fire ax, getting paler with every swing. After ten or so minutes, he finished and moved the table to the side.
Walking over he noticed that there will be evening soon. Taking a deep breath he opened the door and broke into a run, towards his car, at the opposite side of the road.
*plop Plop plop Plop* Sounded his footsteps as he run. Luckily, there was no zombies or mutants, lurking withing the bodies. He quickly put the baggage in the trunk and got on to the dirver seat, starting his car. Before riding away, he took out the recently made molotov.
{It's better to burn them, right? It'll serve as a burial and prevent them from becoming zombies.}He hesitated. Soon enought he made up his mind, litting the cloth and throwing it in the middle of the street. After that he drove away.
The beggining of the ride was smooth, not literally of course, after all, the body parts made the driving bumpy. After 6 or so minutes, he got to the Berry Springs. Unluckily, the road towards the highway was stuck, due to high amount of vehicles and remains.
Unhappy Tony, procede then to turn left, which was the second quickest way. After 20 minutes, he needed to stop, the road ahead has been blocked too, this time however, there was no bodies. Suprising himself, Tonydeducted, that they were cleaned up by humans, whom came here to secure the power plant nearby. Hope full, he locked the car from inside, covered the windows and decided to sleep, as it was already getting dark.
