Companion II

After the Lion signaled the start of the fight with a mighty roar, the lion and Caerus ran towards each other with the strong steps of the lion rumbling through the earth as Caerus rolls to the right, dodging the terrifying claws of the beast.

As Caerus dodged, he used the shadows of the forest to his disadvantage and manipulated them in a way that restricted the beast. For a moment, Caerus was able to relax, but not for long. With no hesitation, he ran towards the lion, determined to knock it out of its misery.

As Caerus ran towards the beast, he punched its head with a beautiful swing to the side of its head. He punches continuously for a few seconds and relaxes as he thinks he knocked it out already. Unfortunately, that moment of carelessness was enough for the lion to breakthrough his restrictions and proceeds to mawl him as he is near. As Caerus is pushed down to the ground by the lion, He proceeds to throw it off him and used his wings to fly above, avoiding the lion's attacks for a few moments.

Not long after, the blazing mane on its neck lights up as it proceeds to breath fire on the being that dares to enrage it.

Searing flames as hot as the sun rushes towards Caerus as he dodges to the side, but not without injuries. His right arm is cooked but it seems his regeneration is doing its work as his arm slowly peels off the burnt parts and regenerates new ones.

Seeing this, Caerus thought, '. Vitality really is important! Not that I underestimated it, it is the most important stat of Tanks after all.'

Seeing as its attack missed, the lion charges up for another when Caerus rushes towards it and lifted it into the air. Once above, He elbows the lion downwards back to the ground in hopes that it was enough. After all, it is gonna be his companion soon enough.

Sure enough, the lion is there, completely incapacitated. But even so, its unyielding eyes continue to burn through him as if it is saying to end it. Seeing its eyes that shows the pride of the lion, He,without hesitation, speaks to the lion his intentions.

"Your Majesty, King of the Jungle, I come to propose to you a deal, in hopes that you can understand me."

Caerus speaks to the lion, in hopes of it understanding his speech. Fortunately the lion can and it replied back.

- The language of the humans and every race that speaks it, I can understand. You are a human yet not a human, what are you?-

Caerus, happy that he answered, replied.

" Oh I am not a human, nor am I of the races that populate this world, I am what you would call, an angel, a fallen one to be exact."

Hearing the answer of the being in front if him, the lion was surprised and in awe. When he was but a cub, living off of his mother, he heard her tell him and his siblings the story about angels and demons and how they came to war with each other.

Many would think that demons were in the wrong because , well, they're demons. But not in this one they're not. The demons have always been a battle hungry race that believes in the philosophy of ' Strength is power' . Even so, they never actively provoke wars with other races as they only conduct battles between themselves, either for profit or position. The demons never killed indiscriminately, not unless they are provoked. The demons, aside from being addicted to gaining strength, were intelligent and created revolutionary things that helped grow their kingdom. So much so that it invoked the greed and jealousy of the humans and Gods.

In their fit of jealousy, the humans waged war with the demons, in the name of cleansing the world of filth. But in truth, they were only after the technology of the demons. So as to make it theirs, they waged war and asked the Gods bless them. The Gods, carried by their greed and envy and a little bit of fear, Blessed them. And thus the 'heroes' were born, their job was to go to the heart of the demon kingdom and slay the demon king.

In the end the humans won and the demons were forces to retrea to the most barren of places in the world. The wasteland of death.

There, the remaining demons hide and bide their time to strike back with vengeance burning in their eyes.

After recalling his memory, the lion looked into Caerus' eyes and said,

- With two conditions I will serve you for eternity-

Surprised at the lion's wisdom, Caerus replied,

" And what are thos conditions?"

The lion continued,

- One,help me take revenge aginst the humans for killing my family. And two, help the demons in their quest for vengeance, better yet, lead them onto greatness once again. only if you accept will I serve you.-

After hearing of his conditions, Caerus pondered deeply of his decision in this matter, on one hand if he rejects , he'll lose a potentially powerful ally and on the other hand, if he accepts, he will now have a reason to be an enemy to humanity, which honestly would be fine, considering his abnormal head start ahead of the average players.

After deciding on what to do, he replies back,

" I agree to your conditions."

After which they proceeded to do the binding ritual between master and servant.

During which, something abnormal happened. Suddenly, Caerus' eyes turned pure whit during the ritual, as if possessed by another being.

At the end of the ritual, right when it was ending, possessed Caerus suddenly shouted,

"GLORIA IN REPROBI!!!"

The sky turned dark and a lightning bolt the size of two humans struck towards the two of them.
