Few Friends and A Love Triangle
It's another day, summer has passed and winter has arrived with lots of snow and cold weather here in Mariana City.
Lisa's Exams have begun.
Joy Woke up, as usual, did the household chores and asked Lisa to took the coat before she leaves for school as outside is so cold.
Joy left the house to work, after finishing her Part-time work, Joy left for Hospital. While walking on the road, Joy saw a florist by the side of the road, She went to him and asked him to give her some Flowers.
Joy took the Flowers and walked to the hospital. went to her locker and changed into her uniform.
First, she went to the 10th floor, she looked around to find Clair, She was lying on her bed.
Joy went near her, Oh! Hello Joy How are you doing? asked Clair as she saw Joy.
I am Fine Mam, I brought you some flowers, I hope you would like them, said Joy.
They are lovely Dear, I love them they would look good on my table, Right Joy? I never got to have such beautiful flowers since I came here, Joy. Mam, I am sorry about Yesterday, I was a little rude, I think. No, Dear you were not You were so nice to me? What made you think that? said Clair.
But Still, I should have been more considerate, So did you like them? asked Joy.
Yes, they Are pretty, And please just call me Clair, Joy I would be happier then.
Okay, Mam. I mean Clair, Okay Clair I will finish my work then, see you, Clair.
Joy finished her work on the 10th floor and left the ward. Joy went to other floor and then took the elevator to go to the cafeteria. it was already 4:00 PM. As Joy was passing by a General ward on 1st Floor, A voice approached her, Hey! there you Girl Stop, Said a First-Year residential Doctor.
Joy turned and said," Yes Doctor?
Hmm. please can you do a thing for me? said, Doctor.
Joy: A thing? Yeah Sure, Doctor How may I help you?
Doctor: Can you just go to the 14th floor to Doctor Drake.
Joy: Doctor Drake? Why? (with Hesitation in her voice)
Doctor: He urgently needs to see this patient? all nurses are busy and I can't leave this patient alone he is a heart patient, And Doctor Drake is not receiving my calls.can you please go and tell him to come here immediately? just go there and ask anyone they would tell you where he is, Please?
Joy: Okay.
Joy immediately ran towards the elevator to the 14th floor. she reached and ran to general ward thinking he might be there. But Joy couldn't find him, she was Tensed, as that patient needs him.
Joy went to the nurse who was working there and asked," Hey ! have you seen Doctor Drake?
No, He is not here, said the Nurse. What? Umm... What to do now? Umm. okay, Can you tell me where he could be? asked Joy.
I don't Know he came half an hour ago to check a patient then left. But Why you are asking?
A patient on the 1st floor needs him.
As Joy was about to left Nurse Called Joy and Said, " Hey! Hey! Have you checked in his office, he Might be there. His office where is his office? asked Joy.
Walk by the side of the ward and there 's his office.said the nurse.
Joy left the ward and Went by the side of the ward and saw Drake Name Plate Hanging on the door.
Oh! This is it, I found it.
As Joy Opened the Drake's Office Door In a hurry, She saw a Fellow Doctor was standing too close to Drake as they were about to kiss. She was Holding Drake's Hand And was Hugging him.
As Joy Saw this, She was startled, Oh! I am so sorry Doctor? I should have knocked, But?
Drake Pushed her away in and looked at Joy, But before he could say anything the other woman interrupted and said," What the hell? Are you nuts? You cleaning lady, how could you just come in anyone's office without knocking? Are you a kid? Stupid Girl, Just leave now, Will you?
But Doctor, Said Joy. Are you Dumb? Didn't you hear what I said? just leave.
Drake Interrupted her and said to Joy," Joy, Stop there, and you, Embrey? I have something important to do, I will see you later.
Embrey Left in anger but before leaving she gave a cold look to Joy as she could have killed her for ruining her moment with Drake.
Joy, Joy I ... Before Drake could say anything, Joy Interrupted and said," Drake You need to come with me right now, there's a patient on 1st floor, he is serious.
Drake Immediately ran out of his office with joy took the elevator and ran to General ward, where
1st-year resident doctor Peter was treating the patient.
Drake: Hey, What happened?
Peter: He was breathing heavily, I called you sir, but you were not reachable.
before you came he suddenly went into arrest so I had to perform the CPR.
Drake: How is he Now? Is he stable?
Peter: Yes sir.
Okay, Martha takes him for ECG and Blood test, Said Drake to the Nurse. Nurse Took him for the test.
Peter, You did well, said Drake to Peter. thank you, doctor.
Peter Left and on the way he saw Joy and said," Hey! There? Joy turned Again and asked, " Is there something else you want me to do?
No, I am sorry I asked you to do that, it was an emergency, Said, Peter. Yeah! I understand Doctor.
Well, thanks for helping me out Mam, I am Peter, and you? can I know your name? said, Peter.
I am Joy, I am from cleaning staff.
Are you going to cafeteria Noona? Said, Peter. Noona? what's that? Asked Joy.
Ahh! Sorry, I am from South Korea, and there to girls who are older to us and in the respect we informally called them Noona.
You Helped me out today even though you didn't have to, so that's why can I call you that, said Peter as he was a year younger to her.
Okay! you can, said Joy.
So, You are going to the cafeteria noona? asked peter again, Then Let's go together noona.
Okay.
Joy and Peter went to cafeteria together as Joy was hungry she grabbed two sandwiches and sat on the chair besides Peter.
were you coming to the cafeteria to eat when I asked you to help me? asked Peter. yeah, I was I just had finished my work on 14th floor and you stopped me when I was going to the cafeteria, said Joy.
Sorry, Noona. It's Okay. said, Joy
Peter was so chatty that entire time while Joy was eating her sandwiches, Peter just kept talking, he told everything about himself. " You are so loquacious, You are just like my sister she always has too many things to talk about," said Joy.
Peter and Joy were having a good conversation, Until Embray Noticed Joy and was coming straight to her. Peter Got up from the Chair as he saw Doctor Embrey Coming right in his direction, He bowed to her in respect as she was senior to him. Embrey came to the table where Joy was sitting and asked Peter to leave and said," Peter just go and check if any patient needs me? Peter left cafeteria on Embrey's order. Embrey then turned to Joy and glared at her. She then asked," Hey What was your Name, was it? Hmmm.. Julie? Jo? What was it? Joy? right? Yes Mam, Said Joy as she got up from her chair. Embrey Folds her hand and asked in a very discourteous manner," You are in Cleaning Work? Right Joy"? Yes Doctor Embrey, said Joy.
then How come you know Doctor Drake? He does not even work with you? asked Embrey.
Drake is my..... Before Joy could Finish Embrey Interrupted and said," Drake? are you that close to him? that you even forgot to Respect him, He is a doctor here, and you, You re just a cleaning lady? How dare you call him By his Name? Look here Joy don't you even think about trying your seducing trick on my man, I would kick you out of here, so, you better be careful with whom you play. Do you get it? or Not? said Embrey So loudly that for a moment everyone's eyes on Joy.
I am sorry Mam I didn't knock on the door before but that was because of an emergency, I don't have anything with your man, He is Just my Mom's Doctor and just a friend to me, and there is nothing between us. So please Stop creating any scene here, I don't have any interest in your man,
Please leave me out of it, Said Joy with Anger in her voice.
Joy then Left the cafeteria and went to her Mama's room. She sat beside her mother and said, " Once I complete my Graduation and get a better job everything would be a fine mama? Right? No one would ever dare to talk to me like that."
On one side Joy was dealing with Embrey and her anger, While on the other side Drake was so restless in thought that what joy must be thinking about him after what she saw at his office.
Drake wanted to talk to Joy. but couldn't do it. He was afraid. he looked for Joy but he couldn't find her.
What could be Drake hiding, Did he has feelings for Joy or was that a lie, Was he in love with joy or Embrey? and what new Problems are gonna come in Joy's way?
