The next day.
Hua Meili woke up rather late in the morning and when she went downstairs, Zhongcheng Qingren and Guo Zhongcheng were already waiting for her so they could eat breakfast together.
"Good morning!"
Hua Meili happily greeted the two as usual and sat at a vacant seat with a plate of food already on the table and started eating.
"Good morning, Xiao Mei!" Guo Zhongcheng greeted.
"Morning." Zhongcheng Qingren greeted.
"So, how are the two of you feeling?"
"I feel great and I could feel my ability getting stronger when I absorbed the ZC last night. Also, I could feel that it is easier to absorb the ZC than the first time!" Guo Zhongcheng animatedly explains.
"I also feel my ability getting stronger." Zhongcheng Qingren casually said.
"That's good, getting stronger can make you live longer." Hua Meili commented.
The two-sweat drop on Hua Meili's comment, they did not know if she was complimenting them or cursing them.
If they did not know better then they would think that she is cursing them but since they knew her, they can confidently say that she is complimenting them!
After breakfast, the three of them quickly set off to kill some Mutants.
As the saying goes, the early bird catches the worm.
But this worm is much more dangerous than any other worm because with one mistake it could kill them!
The two lovebirds were really excited to try out their newly improved strengths so they decided to go hunt some Mutants rather early.
Watching their energetic appearance, Hua Meili can only smile at them helplessly seeing how the two of them resemble a kid that just got a new toy.
'Ah. Just let them be. Enjoy while you can because, after the black rain, you'll cry mommy!'
During the time that they were training outside, Guo Zhongcheng's wind ability got a little bit stronger than before.
Finally, he can summon a blast of wind that could pierce through a Mutant's neck halfway. It is a really big improvement on his part.
He was really happy when he can finally conjure that blast, what a kid.
On the other hand, Zhongcheng Qingren's fire ability also got a lot stronger as he can now finally summon a fire as big as a basketball ball burning a Mutant's head until it drops dead.
Despite his happiness, his face remains expressionless but all that counts is that he is happy.
Watching them fight off the Mutants, Hua Meili could not help but think if she should pity them or the Mutants.
Seeing them kill the Mutant as easily as 1, 2, 3, she could not help but think that they are really a bully!

She is the Master of bullying anyway. They perfectly learned from her!
"Hey, why is this city so quiet? Are there really no survivors here?" Guo Zhongcheng asked while looking around.
They had been in this city for a long time already yet, the Mutants that they had encountered were too few compared to the population of the city.
Thinking about the population before the Apocalypse came, the city should be full of Mutants running rampant and human survivors but the city looked more like a haunted city than a zombie city.

Now that Guo Zhongcheng pointed out this creepy point, Zhongcheng Qingren could not help but also take a look around.

Zhongcheng Qingren pulled Guo Zhongcheng into his embrace as he comforted the pitiful "child".
He knew that reality can't be easily accepted but what they said is the truth.
He can only say the truth to him even though it's painful because he needed him to be safe. He needed him to live so they can be together for a long time.

"I won't betray you too, Zhozho and Xiao Mei also." Guo Zhongcheng said as he nuzzled deeper in the hug and look at Hua Meili.
Reality finally sank into his mind.
"Me too. I won't betray the two of you."
