It's been a whole week since that time when Hua Meili exposed Lian Pian in front of everyone.

At first, it was a shock to some of them and some could not get over the shock that they had experienced.

Just thinking about the future with Lian Pian, all of them could not help but shiver in fear.

Yu Diqiu and Gou Zhongcheng had it worse in the group, they were having nightmares almost every night about being eaten alive by Lian Pian.

It was gruesome and scary but they were just exaggerating things.

Lian Pian after all would not target them, they had such thick skin and strong bones. It would be a while before she could bite them to death.

Newbies are the safest choice of all!

Also, after that dinner night when Hua Meili declared to all of them that they were her family, somehow the group had become much closer to each other.

The tension and awkwardness that was once in the air had slowly dispersed over time as they spend time with each other most of the time.

Hua Meili who did not sleep much during the previous night, tossed and turned on her bed feeling suffocated in her sleep.

But, no matter how much she tosses and turns, the heaviness pressing her body just won't go away.

Frustrated, she opened her eyes and looked at the source of her suffering.

She glared at the lump of flesh circling his arms and legs around her body like a leech.

It looks like the other person was having the best sleep in his entire life while she suffered being suffocated by him.

'Why the hell is this man here, again?!'

With a dark expression, she tried to shove the big ass lump of flesh away from her but the more she did so the tighter his arms and legs got.

He was like a leech, sticky and hard to pull off.

If only he was a real leech, Hua Meili would have long ago set him on fire!

Ever since he first slept in her room, he somehow got addicted to it and sometimes sneaks into her room in the middle of the night and this is one of those times.

Watching him sleep, she realized that he looks so gentle having his stiff and cold face ease down and warm up a little bit.

"If you keep looking at me like that I am going to melt."

Jin Hua opened his eyes staring back at her.

Hua Meili rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, sure, go ahead and melt. It would be better for you to melt so I can toss you back to the ice-cold ocean where you belong! What?! Still not enough? Want me to stare at you more?" Hua Meili said in a deadpan manner.

"Your no fun."

Jin Hua hugs her, bringing her closer to him.

"When did you learn the word "fun"? I didn't know you also know how to have fun."

"You bully!" Jin Hua whined.

'The heck! What's happening to this supervillain?! Why is he acting spoiled toward me? I'm not your mother boy!'

"What's wrong with you these days?"

Hua Meili sighed helpless.

"I almost forgot, you're going to search for supplies again, right?"

"That is right. Also, we are looking for some survivors in the ghost city." Jin Hua said still not letting go of the hug instead he even hug her tighter.

"You should be careful, okay? The weather had been bad these days, make sure you come back home early."

Hua Meili seriously warned him.

She would not bet on the chance that something bad might happen to him.

Ever since the last time Jin Hua went on an expedition, she had been feeling ominous like something bad is about to happen.

The bad weather during this past day was also not helping at all, it only deepened her suspicion that something bad is bound to happen.

"I'll be careful."

After reassuring her, he closes his eyes and the two went for another round of sleep since its still 5:00 in the morning.

When Hua Meili woke up again, she saw Jin Hua staring at her face in a daze.

"What?"

Hua Meili raised her eyebrow.

She grinned at him but inside she felt a little awkward being stared at by him for who knows how long.

Who wouldn't?

Anybody would feel that it was creepy being stared at by someone while they were asleep, right?

"Nothing. I was about to wake you up but you were sleeping so peacefully that I didn't have the heart to disturb you but you woke up unexpectedly."

Jin Hua quickly let go of his hold after he explained to her and sat down on the bed, she also sat down.

"What time will you be going?"

"Well, after breakfast. Let's go."

Jin Hua unexpectedly drags her out of the bed dragging her downstairs.

He usually doesn't act like this, feeling touchy, most of the time he can't even hold her hand without being embarrassed.

Hua Meili looked at him weirdly but only for a second, she shifted her gaze elsewhere not minding him.

"Xiao Mei! Can I also go with them? I've been cope up in the mansion for so long, I want to go outside too!" Guo Zhongcheng whined.

Jin Hua and his group were already preparing for the trip when Guo Zhongcheng suddenly jumped at Hua Meili and whined loudly complaining.

"Cheng ge... If you want to, you can go with them. But, you better ask Zhong ge first. If he agrees, then you can go. And if he does, go ask Jin."

"Really?!" Guo Zhongcheng said with sparkling eyes.

"Really!"

Having promised him, Guo Zhongcheng immediately runs towards Zhongcheng Qingren and ask permission.

Zhongcheng Qingren look back at Hua Meili for help but she only ignored him and continue eating the pie which Mu Hexin baked for her.

'This is really a good pie!'

"Mei'er, Bodyguard Gou said he wanted to go with us. Is it okay?"

Jin Hua sat beside her and picked up a plate of pie eating it.

"If you're okay, then everything's fine. Cheng ge said he wants to go out since he is already bored staying here doing nothing. If it's fine with you, let him go and play."

Hua Meili ate another piece of pie.

"Play? Alright, I'll bring him along. But are you sure you will be okay without them here?" Jin Hua worriedly asked.

"I'll be okay, don't worry. Besides, I'm the one who should be worried. You are the one going out not me. I hope that everything would be alright. Do return safe and sound."

"Of course, I need to return safely because I need to return to your side." Jin Hua solemnly said before smiling warmly at her.

"Right, also, don't forget to bring the red crystals inside the mutant's brain. Okay?"

"Red crystals? What's that for?" Jin Hua curiously asked.

"Well.. there is a use for it. Just bring all the zombie crystals you got from those Mutants. I'll tell you when you come back what's it for. I'm sure you'll be in for a surprise." Hua Meili mysteriously said.

"Okay. I'll do whatever you want."
