Chapter 619: Bloodline (2)

Translator: _Leo_ Editor: Kurisu

Angele did not expect the Rio Family to do that, but it was a common thing here, so he did not decline the offer. If he could not bring the family a child with pure bloodline, the family would always be worried about the future.

He entered the bedroom and kept the room dark. He asked the two maids to leave the room and lay down on the bed. Angele fell asleep several seconds later.

Angele had no idea how long had passed but he could felt something wet and warm around his hand after he woke. He could also hear that there was a girl saying something by the side.

He opened his eyes and saw two naked girls on his bed. One of the girls was dragging his hand to her private area.

Although there was no light in the room, Angele had no problem seeing the girls' bodies.

"Diana, right? And?"

"Alice, my name is Alice," the other girl spoke out loud.

Angele had not touched a woman in a while and grabbed the two girls' arms.

"Aren't you afraid of me?" He was a bit interested.

"We're not scared! You're the greatest being in our family, there's no point for us to feel scared!" Diana responded.

"Alright then, if we're lucky, there's a chance that I can leave a child to the Rio Family." Angele took off his clothes and his hands started moving on Diana's body.

They spent the whole night on reproducing. Diana and Alice were so tired that they could barely move after everything was done. Angele asked two maids to help them get back to their own rooms. Although they could handle radiation energy, it would still be dangerous if they stayed around Angele for too long.

This was just a start; there would be at least two girls in his room during the night in the following days. They knew that Angele had important things to take care of during the daytime.

Angele had never spent so much time on intercourse. In the next 20 days, he had sex with each of the 13 girls at least three times.

Angele did want to have at least one child for both the Rio Family and the Fenrir Family. He wanted to keep his promises.

Sadly, he was way too strong, and his body was controlling his energy movement naturally. The chance was extremely low and Angele could only hope that maybe it would work this time. He could not stay in the harbor forever.

Angele gathered the family leaders and asked them to take care of the book for him. He also made sure that the family leaders understood how dangerous the book was. Only the family members who had the Rio Family's bloodline could open the book. The wizards who wanted to steal the information would be tortured by illusions, poisons, and explosions. Also, if a family member viewed the book, a contract would automatically be signed and the family member would not be able to leak any information related to the book.

After everything was done, he asked the guards to spread rumors on the street. He wanted to make sure that White Tooth Castle understood the situation before leaving the harbor. Angele headed to the Rudin Empire after everything was done and wanted to see how White Tooth Castle would react.

He would not hand Katarina over to the White Tooth Castle for any reason; he doubted if White Tooth Castle could win a fight against him. He was certain that White Tooth Castle would try to communicate with him sooner or later.

Angele was a legendary wizard that lived for over 800 years and no organization would attack him just because of a girl.

***********************

In the Anser Plain.

The yellow grass was dancing in the air. The yellow grass looked like a large yellow blanket on the ground.

The sky was covered by dark clouds and there was thunder rumbling.

*CHI*

A red meteor flew over the plain, leaving a long red trail behind. The meteor was heading to the old Rudin Empire.

About ten minutes later, the meteor started landing. It was flying to the edge of the plain in front of which was a dark forest.

The meteor stopped on an empty ground and revealed a man in a luxurious outfit after the light faded away.

The man was wearing a long red robe and there was a silver scorpion pattern on his left chest. His long dark-red hair trailed over his shoulders and he had a pale face. The man's eyes looked like two windows that led to a mysterious and unexplored world.

The man's eyes were coated with a red glow and the man looked a bit strange.

It was Angele. He flew over the Anser Plain; he only spent some time on eating after he left the harbor. He reached the edge of the Anser Plain and the forest ahead was owned by the old Rudin Empire.

Angele started thinking as he stood in front of the trees.

He slowly stepped into the forest and advanced. Several minutes later, he found the place where he'd battled the two knights.

He could still feel the emotion waves that he'd left in the area. The emotion waves should not be here, but with the refined true form he had, the emotion waves somehow came back to this place.

As a rank 8 being, the energy waves or mentality waves he released could stay in a place forever. He could even retrieve the energy waves he'd released when he was weak. It was the power of the refined true form.

Individuals with the power of a rank 8 wizard would affect time and dimension1 at a certain rate. They could easily find the traces they left around the world.

The stronger the refined true time was, the more the dimension would be affected. Angele was affected by the waves released by the symbol of his true form. If he could find the secrets of the dimension and time, the symbol might turn into something like the mark of an ancestor. The changes done to the world could never be removed, and he would able to change the rules of nature.

That was the reason why the realm power would push a strong being from another realm out.

However, Angele had no idea what the secret of time and dimension was. He collected some power of time and built a dimension model using the bloodline of the scorpion woman. However, his ability was far from the level of an ancestor.

Angele was getting closer to the ancestor level, and his symbol was changing. If he successfully became an ancestor, the traces he'd left around the world gather in a certain place and turn into the base of an ancestor.

That was all Angele knew. The secret of time and dimension was the foundation of an ancestor. An ancestor had a power level that was higher than a rank 8 wizard.

Angele was still studying the dimension; he had no idea how long it would take to finish the study.

Angele walked around the area and rubbed the surface of the trees. Although he knew that everything had changed and he could not find the same trees as in his memory, he was still satisfied with the result.

He left the forest and started flying again.

Several hours later, Angele arrived at an abandoned ruin.

The ruin was a pile of gray stones; it felt like there had been a large building here.

Angele sighed with mixed emotions as he checked the ruin. It was the castle of the Rio Family. Hundreds of years passed and the place already turned into a ruin. Angele still remembered the days he'd spent in the castle.

He went around the castle and found several graves with tombstones on top of them.

There were three graves and three black tombstones. They were covered with grass and herbs.

Angele walked to one of the tombstones and crouched. He cleaned the moss on the tomb and found several words.

'To my best friend, Audis.'

He checked the other two tombstones, and the names were Chris and Lisa.

They were all Baron's friends.

"Father came back and buried them here…"

Angele remembered that he'd asked the soldiers to cut their heads off and hang them at the gate, but it seemed like the Baron still buried them after that.

The sky was dark and rain started pouring down like crazy.

Angele stood in front of the graves quietly. The raindrops evaporated before they could touch his body. They also splashed on the tombstones; the only noise in the forest was made by the rain.

He returned to his hometown; the graves reminded him of Audis's muscular body. Audis's body was so strong that he'd almost looked like a bear.

The land under his feet was familiar but unfamiliar at the same time. He knew all the insects and herbs in the forest. He collected all the information when he was young—it was still stored in the database.

Angele left the castle and went over the border, entering the Saladin Empire.

Saladin Empire was led by the inheritors of the elves and their territory almost tripled. They took over the old Rudin Empire and several other countries around. The new King of Saladin Empire was backed up by the merfolk and called himself the King of Sea Elves.

The war was the reason why the Rio Family was driven away from their hometown.

Saladin Empire had endless forests and a long coastline. That was the reason why they cooperated with merfolk.

Angele was heading to the largest city of Saladin Empire, Karen City. Karen City was close to the sea, and a bit far from the old Rudin Empire. Angele asked the travelers he met for directions and he barely wasted any time on the road. He quickly arrived at the Dark Forest by the Karen City.

Saladin Empire. Karen City.

In the center of the dark forest, there was a white city standing quietly. The people and carriages on the streets looked like ants. There were also humongous flying mounts leaving the parking lot. The flying mounts all had white wooden ships attached to their backs.

*CHI*

A ray of red light suddenly appeared in the sky, then floated above the city, revealing a man in a purple robe inside.

Angele overlooked the city, and the flying mounts caught his attention.

The flying mounts were pulling large airships like horses pulling carriages. The closest airship was around 100 meters away from him and he could see the passengers in luxurious outfits. The passengers were looking at Angele, surprised.

Angele looked at the airship and the passengers started screaming.

"No energy movement at all… The flying mounts are the only thing doing the work. Not bad."

*CHI CHI*

Two rays of green light left the Karen City and flew to Angele.

The two stopped in front of Angele. They were a male and a female.

"We apologize that we didn't know you would visit the city, Master," the man opened his mouth. "My name is Ning. I'm a wizard that guards this city. May I ask what your name is?"

Angele sight fell upon the man.

The man, who had messy red hair, was wearing golden armor. The armor was a bit loose and there was a wine bottle in his hand. The man looked like a drunkard, but there was a serious expression on his face.

Angele did not respond. He looked at the other person.

She was a slim green-haired woman with sharp ears, wearing tight leather armor. It almost looked like the woman was a hunter in the forest.

The woman opened her mouth as well after she noticed that Angele was looking at her.

"My name is Terran. I'm a wizard from the Sea Elf Alliance. I assume you're the wizard who just returned to the Andes Alliance."

The woman's brow furrowed. She checked the red light around Angele's body and noticed how high the temperature was. Her expression quickly changed.

Angele smiled.

"You're correct. I'm the wizard who'd just returned to the Andes Alliance. I was born in the Rudin Empire. I'm here because I want to discuss the problem with my family's territory with you."

"Family territory?" The two wizards had a bad feeling about this.

Angele continued, "I'm from the Rio Family and we want to start a country in our hometown. I'm here to reclaim my territory since the Rudin Empire is under Saladin's control."

"I understand what you're talking about. It's a large territory, so you must pay us." The female elf's brow furrowed.

"No, I'm not here to trade with you. I'm just here to inform you about my plan. I'll reclaim my territory and my plans won't change." The smile disappeared from Angele's face.

The two wizards were surprised—they finally understood Angele's intentions. They looked at Angele like looking at a fool.

"Master… Are you sure you're alright?" The male wizard pointed at his own head and mocked.

He took out a golden dagger surrounded by three red light balls.

Angele did not want to waste time. He pointed at the two wizards and released two rays of red light.

The red light turned into two red lion heads in the air, and their temperature was increasing rapidly.

The red lion head broke through the male wizard's barriers without any problem and destroyed a red shadow released by him

*CHI*

The lion head landed on Ning's body.

*WOO*

The lion head exploded. The battle ended in a second. Ning was turned into a ball of blames and his body was burnt to ashes.

The other lion head was blocked by the female elf's golden rope; the lion head was having trouble moving forward.

The golden rope started turning black quickly; it seemed like it could break at any time.

The female wizard was surprised that Ning was killed within seconds. She turned around and started flying to the Gem Sea. She rolled in the air and turned into a blue snake with wings.

The woman traveled several hundred meters in the air within seconds, but Angele pointed at the woman, releasing another red ray, and the woman was slowed down. She was caught up with by the red ray, and the red light wrapped around the woman without hurting her.

"A rank 1 wizard. How arrogant can you be?" Angele barely did anything during the battle. He flew to the female elf quickly.

"What are you going to do?!" the female elf shouted. "Do you know who my teacher is? A merfolk wizard named Blue Moon. If she figures out what you just did, she'll…"

"Do you really think I'll be concerned?" Angele shook his head. "You survived my attack because of that strange golden robe."

Angele looked at the golden rope. The golden rope was still blocking the lion head.

He raised his hand, and the red lion head returned to his body. The golden rope was almost burnt black and Angele moved it to him using energy particles.

"What's this?"

The female wizard did not want to answer, but she quickly responded after the red light around her body became intense. "The light of sight! That's the light of sight from the legendary sea beast Gran!"

"Light of sight?" Angele was interested.

"Yeah… Gran was a legendary beast from the merfolk tales. They say that Gran had a pair of special eyes that could release energy waves. Gran would stare at its enemies and its targets would be attacked by the energy waves. Someone collected these energy waves and made them into magic devices. This one was built by my teacher, it's just a magic item…" The wizard stopped for a second and continued, "We use it to bind enemies. This golden rope is relatively weak…"

Angele played with the golden rope with his fingers.

"A legendary sea beast…"

The people in Karen City all witnessed the battle. They saw that one of their wizards was killed and the other one captured. Everyone in the city started panicking.

Teams of city guards moved out of the city and quickly entered a certain formation. They put up silver shields and the archers all aimed at Angele with their bows. Angele could hear the noise made by the bowstrings.

The King of Saladin put on a golden armor and left his palace quickly, protected by many Grand Knights. He was looking at the sky. The King waved his hands and calmed the soldiers down. He asked his generals about the situation—it seemed like he was trying to figure out a plan.

Angele lowered his head and saw a sea of silver shields. He was not concerned at all. Raising his right hand, he pointed at the shields.

*BAM*

A large palm was created by the red light he released. The temperature of the palm was extremely high; it quickly landed on the shields.

The palm slapped the shields like slapping tofu. The shields and the soldiers under the shields were crushed by the palm, turned into a mixture of metal and flesh.

The buildings touched by the palm were also destroyed. The dust was splashing in the air and the soldiers were shouting in fear.

The people in Karen City were all trying to escape through the gate. The nobles and the peasants were all running like crazy. Many people were killed during the chaos. The nice-looking city almost turned into hell.

The female elf was terrified. Angele's one strike easily killed two knights and thousands of elite soldiers. The elf could not believe what'd just happened and she could barely think at the moment.

The King and his generals were also surprised. However, he still drew his sword and tried to calm down the soldiers. The King looked at the purple shadow in the sky; he had no idea why the man attacked them without saying a world.

Karen City was the center of Saladin and there were many merfolk wizards around.

The soldiers were also terrified and confused at the same time.

*CHI*

An arrow finally flew to Angele, which sent a signal to other archers. Thousands of dark metal arrows were fired by the siege crossbows, all flying to the invader in the sky.

The sea of arrows almost blocked the sunlight.

The arrows landed on the purple shadow in the sky without any problem and made a loud noise as arrows hit each other.

Strangely, none of the arrows was falling. They gathered together and turned into a humongous ball of arrows.

Seconds later, the arrows started heating and turning red. There was white smoke rising from the surface of the arrow ball.

The arrow ball was turning redder and redder. It was melting and there was liquid dropping to the ground. The arrow ball cracked and revealed the man in the center.

Angele stood in the center of the ball and waved his right hand.

Some metal liquid spurted out of the arrow ball and started falling to the city.

The people in the city saw the scene and started screaming in fear. However, the gate was so small that people were having trouble passing through it.

*BAM BAM BAM BAM*

The metal liquid landed on the corners of the city and the temperature in the city was increased to an unbelievable level. Following the metal liquid, several metal balls landed in the city. Countless people were killed and many buildings were burnt.

The whole city turned red.

Angele crossed his arms and looked at the terrifying scene in the city.

"A refined version of Hand of Wizard… I guess they can't even handle that…"

"Demon! You're a demon!" the female elf shouted as her face turned pale. "There were over 300 thousand people in the city! Have you lost your mind?!"

Angele glanced at the woman.

"This could've ended peacefully. Also, I only killed around ten thousand people. Don't worry."

Finally, King of Saladin found someone to increase his voice and they could finally communicate.

"Sir, what do you want from us? I'll give you everything you want! Please calm down and talk to me!"

Saladin had no way to fight back.

Angele was satisfied with the result. He wanted to reclaim his territory and to show how much damage he could do so no one would try to attack his new land.

He stayed in Saladin for around half a day and signed a treaty with the King. The King gave the old Rudin Empire to the Rio Family; the treaty stated that they would not attack each other in the next 100 years. Also, the King would have to provide gold and resources for the Rio Family to build the country.

Angele flew back to the harbor after everything was done. He told the family leaders about the situation and left a lion man with the family to protect them. He then flew to the Gem Sea.

He spent three months in the Andes Alliance. The last thing he needed to do was to visit the school. Also, he needed to enter the underground world and find the tree.

He doubted if he would visit his family again in the next several years.

It took him a couple weeks to travel back to Ramsoda, where he was welcomed by the wizards of the school.

Angele learned about the general situation of the school and attended the ceremony. He learned that the entrance to the underground world would only open once a year and the time had not come yet, so he decided to wait for the entrance to open in the school.

*****************************

Several months later.

Inside a stone chamber behind the school, two dark rays landed on the ground, turning into people in black robes.

One of them had the head of an eagle and the body of a human. The other one had two heads on his shoulder, one male and the other one female.

"Greetings, Master Angele," the two-headed man shouted and sent some silver light into the stone chamber.

The gate of the stone chamber opened slowly and revealed a dark tunnel leading the underground.

The two wizards did not hesitate. They entered the tunnel and started walking down. Several minutes later, the temperature in the tunnel was getting higher and higher.

They released some ice runes to decrease the temperature around their bodies.

Another minute passed, and they finally reached the exit. A ray of intense red light from the exit almost blinded their eyes and the heat waves almost swallowed them.

They left the tunnel and entered a small meeting hall.

In the center of the hall, there was a pool full of lava. A naked young man was inside the lava pool. It was Angele—he was training in this hall.

Angele's eyes were closed; it seemed like he was resting. He heard the footsteps and opened his eyes, glancing at the two wizards.

"What's the matter?"

The vice president of the school spoke politely, "Master Angele. The merfolk wizards are here for what you did to the Saladin Empire. They said they want an explanation…"

"An explanation?" Angele chuckled as he poured some lava on his body. His skin was not burnt at all. "What explanation do they want? How many merfolk wizards are here and how strong are they?"

"There are three wizards here. The leader is Blue Moon the Hydra. You didn't kill Blue Moon's student, so it should be fine…" The other one here was a professor from the school.

"Also, messengers from the Six Ring High Tower, the White Tooth Castle, the Wizard's House, the Northland Alliance, and some other wizard organizations are here. They are all here to visit you," the vice president added. "There are so many of them and I don't want it to become a problem, so can you…"

Andy was the vice president of the school; he was a bit worried about the situation. The wizards of the land and the wizards of the sea had never fought each other. However, what Angele did to Saladin Empire was totally unexpected, and many wizard organizations were pressuring Ramsoda for that reason. Some of the messengers were friends of Andy.

The school was in a bad position and the important members of the school were having trouble handling the situation. If a war broke out after Angele left, the whole school might be destroyed.

However, there were still benefits in this incident.

Angele was a legendary wizard and Ramsoda was the school that trained him. The wizard organizations all changed the way they treated Ramsoda. They did not attack Ramsoda because Angele was in the school and they were afraid that Ramsoda had other secret weapons.

They wondered if Angele was the only legendary wizard they had.

Angele easily killed thousands of soldiers and two knights. The wizard organizations thought that he was at least at rank 3. Rank 2 wizards were already rare in this generation, and rank 3 wizards would be considered secret weapons of the organizations.

The rank 3 wizards that worked for Ramsoda all passed away in the last several years. That was the reason why Ramsoda was trying to summon the wizards who'd graduated back.

Angele's return made the school famous right away; the school had a much easier time recruiting talented apprentices. Talented apprentices could bring them more resources. With the resources, the school would be able to continue to develop.

Andy lowered his head again after he thought for a while. He could not believe that he was standing in front of a wizard that was over 800 years old. Andy was only 200 years old and he was just a rank 2 wizard. Also, Angele was like a superstar to the apprentices. With Angele in the school, there was nothing for them to worry about.

Angele knew why Andy wanted him to handle the problem and knew what Andy was implying.

He thought for a while and responded, "Who's the strongest wizard that returned to the school? Besides me?"

"The strongest wizard beside you is a wizard named Cider Kamen, he's a rank 2 wizard at the Gas Stage. He's preparing for the Liquid Stage," Andy responded immediately. "Do you want to see him?"

"No." Angele glanced at Andy. "What else do you need? Just tell me everything. You know you can't hide it from me."

Andy smiled.

"There are two more things that I need help with. First, there's a necromancer in the school that had some trouble in the snow valley. He accidentally broke the seal of an ancient magic item and released an ancient monster when fighting with the wizards from the Northland Alliance. We tried to capture the monster but all failed, and the two human countries around the snow valley are complaining; even creating special teams for the task didn't work. Furthermore, the monster's power is increasing gradually…"

"The other thing is also related to the Northland Alliance. They attacked three of our star dust mines and injured a wizard named Param. They sent assassins to kill Param and we're not sure what we should do, so…"

"That's it? Can't you handle that by yourself?" Angele's brow furrowed.

"We can, but we just want you to back us up. If you don't say anything, we may encounter some problems…" Andy explained carefully.

The two events that Andy talked about were nothing to Angele; however, if the school decided to fight back, a war might start. Although they could handle the problem by themselves, they did not want to face the rank 3 wizards of Northland Alliance. That was the reason why they wanted Angele to help.

Angele thought for a while and decided to offer some help. This was the school that taught him many things, after all.

"I'll try to solve these problems when I meet the messengers from other wizard organizations. Also, you can rescue Param first. He's a member of ours, and we can't Northland Alliance do whatever they want! If the assassins try to fight back, you can just kill them. Do it in the Snow Valley if possible. Snow Valley is our territory, right?"

Andy was happy after hearing those words.

"Thank you, Master Angele!"

"No problem. I'm a member of the school. Attacking the school is the same as attacking me." Angele waved his hand. "However, you need to take care of my family after I leave."

"Of course! We will!" They bowed to Angele.

"Alright, you can leave now. I'll stay in the pool for a bit longer."

They quickly left the tunnel and disappeared into the darkness.

Angele stayed in the lava quietly. The lava was not made from normal stones—it was made of a special fruit called Red Lotus. The juice of the Red Lotus had an extremely high temperature. Angele mixed the juice with star dust and made the lava by himself.

The lava could help him transfer energy—that was the only effect it had. The lava was perfect for the extra energy Angele was releasing.

Angele had more power than the president of the school and he was the one that was giving orders. With Angele in the school, everything was changed. The wizards and the apprentices were all extremely excited after the school became famous. They also had much easier time negotiating with other wizard organizations. They had been considered a weak organization for over 100 years, but Angele's arrival turned the situation around. The only problem was that the wizards of Ramsoda had a lot more fights with the wizards from other organization after the school became famous.

The wizard alliance decided to send the messengers to check if the rumors about Angele were true.

Chapter 622: Determination (1)

'They should know what I'm capable of by now, but I'll just show them my true power.'

Angele slowly stood up from the lava and revealed the purple eyes on his arms. These eyes were still smoking due to the high temperature, causing smoke to permeate the whole room.

Angele walked around the edge of the pool with bare feet and the black robe from the hanger flew to him. The robe was made of a special liquid from the eyes of a magic beast and the material had high fire resistance.

He put on the robe and a belt. He then attached the mirror and a small dagger to his belt.

Angele walked to the tunnel slowly and disappeared into a ball of flames. He traveled more than 30 meters within seconds.

He checked the teleportation distance and his brow furrowed.

'I can't even teleport to an area that's close to here…' Angele could easily teleport to an area that was more than 300 meters away. He felt tired just teleporting around 30 meters this time.

Angele checked the energy consumption using the biochip—the teleportation cost him more than 30 thousand degrees of energy. He needed around half a day to recover that amount of energy; also, his muscles were slightly injured, and it seemed like his body could no longer handle the basic technique.

"It seems like I should only use the elemental ability when absolutely necessary…"

The mark on his back was the main problem. There was nothing he could do about it at the moment.

It took him several minutes to reach the exit of the tunnel. The two Grand Knights that were guarding the tunnel bowed and greeted him.

The eagle man Sella was waiting for him by the exit quietly. Angele noticed the man right away.

"Master, the representatives are waiting for you at the spiral room of the school, what do you think?"

"Let's go and meet them. I don't want to waste too much time." Angele nodded.

A ball of red light appeared under their feet and helped them fly over a forest of white stone pillars. They also passed by some buildings before landing on a platform of a black obelisk.

A group of wizards varying in gender was waiting for them quietly on the platform. There were black robes, white robes, and some of them looked like men with the bodies of foxes.

The foxes were only around one meter tall and were walking like human beings. Their hind legs were on the ground and their front legs were their hands. They were wearing red robes with golden patterns on their chests. The golden patterns looked like a fox with six ears. Although the patterns looked a bit strange, they were not really eye-catching.

Two wizards had heavy shells and only their faces were exposed to the air. They had black horns and there were two yellow strips on their chests.

They were insect men from the underground world—they looked identical to rhino beetles. These insect men were born without eyes and had no problem handling spells that might blind them. They also had a natural resistance to low-level illusion abilities.

Angele and Sella arrived on the platform. They glanced at the wizards that were standing on the platform.

"I assume you're Master Angele." The merfolk wizard stepped forward first—an old man with white messy hair. He had a red coral cane in his hand and his ears looked like fish fins.

"Let me introduce myself. I'm Blue Moon. I'm representing the Saladin Empire."

"Blue Moon the Hydra. I know your name." Angele nodded slightly.

"Let's enter the room and talk." He passed through the crowd and entered the obelisk.

Inside the obelisk was a spacious hall with a tall stone chair in the front. A pair of eyes was engraved on the back of the chair.

Angele walked to the chair and sat down. He put his hands on the handles and looked at the wizards.

The wizards followed them into the hall and sat down in the chairs. The president and the vice-president of the school who shared the same body sat down in a seat close to Angele; Sella also found a seat.

Two teams of apprentices of different genders served fruits to the wizards. They made sure that they served the right food to the right races. Some wizards were served fresh rabbits and squirrels.

After all the wizards sat down and introduced themselves, Angele started speaking.

"Welcome to Ramsoda. I guess you've already heard about the rumors about me, right? I'll let the representative of the Saladin Empire talk first. Go ahead, Blue Moon."

Blue Moon was not surprised. He was one of the strongest wizards here and he knew he should be the one to speak first. He sipped some juice and made sure everything was under control.

Blue Moon looked at Angele and opened his mouth.

"Regarding the Saladin Empire, we hope to make an agreement with you. The Saladin Empire has already returned the territory of the Rudin Empire to you. However, I still have my concerns. I think I should have a conversation with you. There are many wizards from different races here and I think we merfolk should show our respect first. Please accept our small gift."

He clapped and a female wizard behind him took out a small square box. She threw the box to the floor carefully.

The black box expanded and its height increased to over four meters. There was a humongous black cat trapped inside the box.

There were white clouds around the cat which was releasing white mist through its ears. It almost felt like the black cat was full of white mist. The cat noticed the wizards around it and started making noises. It was ready to attack at any time.

The wizards hesitated for a second after seeing the cat and started discussing in low voices. Some of their brows furrowed, it seemed like they were confused; but, the wizards who knew what the cat was all had serious expressions on their faces.

"The cloud beast… An aggressive beast from the Gem Sea. How did the merfolk capture it alive?"

"It's a female cloud beast… The merfolk must have sent a strong wizard to capture it."

A wizard sneered as he looked at Angele and the two important members of Ramsoda.

Andy and Sella were also surprised. They glanced at Angele and noticed that Angele was not concerned at all. There was a blank expression on Angele's face.

It was the first time Angele met a beast from the Gem Sea. He could feel the strong energy waves released by the beast, but the energy waves only had the power level of a rank 3 wizard. He noticed that more and more white clouds appeared in the air after the black cat appeared.

"So, this thing is called the cloud beast?" He opened his mouth. "Looks nice. You said this was a gift. What are you trying to imply? I'm not familiar with the Gem Sea and it's the first time I saw something like this. I assume you'll explain everything to us."

The wizards in the hall slowly stopped talking. Blue Moon was not surprised at all. He stood up and smiled.

"Cloud beasts live on certain islands in the Gem Sea. They can control the mist and move extremely fast. Mortals and weak wizards can't even see their movements. You can only capture them when they are resting. They usually rest in underground caves, and that's why they are hard to find." He stopped for a second and continued, "Most importantly, if you can extract the blood out of a living cloud beast's body, your life expectancy will be increased by ten years."

"Woah…"

Most of the wizards in the hall were surprised by the information. Not many wizards knew that fact, but ten years of extra life were attractive to the weak wizards. Their life expectancy was shorter than strong wizards'.

Some of the wizards' expressions changed as they looked at the cloud beast. There were also wizards glaring at the merfolk wizards.

A white robe from the Northland Alliance stood up and asked, "I wonder, why did you decide to bring the cloud beast here?"

She was a female wizard named Lila, who was wearing a silver headband covered with runes.

The female wizard was a bit chubby and her skin was a bit rough. It seemed like she did not care about her appearance. Usually, female wizards would modify their appearance after they advanced to the formal wizards. A female wizard like her was a bit rare in the wizard society.

Blue Moon smiled again.

"The cloud beasts move so fast that only strong wizards can capture them. Usually, people can't capture them and extract blood from them. However, to show our respect, the Grand Blue Wizard of the merfolk decided to gift you this cloud beast, Master Angele." He looked at Angele.

"Also, we hope that you could understand the relationship between the merfolk and the Saladin Empire. One more thing, this box is an important magic item to the Grand Blue Wizard and we might have to retrieve it…"

It was a challenge. If Angele could not finish off the cloud beast after they open the box, the gift would turn into a disaster. A beast with the power of a rank 3 wizard was no joke. Also, the cloud beast was famous for its speed, and could easily take out a group of average wizards.

Also, the magic item that could keep the cloud beast inside was extremely rare. Blue Moon was certain that Ramsoda did not have a magic item like that.

Chapter 623: Determination (2)

The wizards all knew what Blue Moon was trying to imply. They wanted to test the power of this legendary wizard.

They all looked at Angele after Blue Moon finished his words.

Angele rubbed the handles of the chair and remained silent.

"If it's a gift to me, you can just remove the box."

"You heard what the master just said."

Blue Moon exchanged eye contact with the female wizard behind him. The female wizard quickly pointed at the box.

*CHI*

The black box flashed and suddenly moved to the right, releasing the cloud beast. The box shrank and returned to the female wizard's palm.

The cloud beast was a bit surprised. It walked around and its sight fell upon Angele's body.

*WOO*

The cloud beast made a loud noise.

The wizards all wanted to know how Angele would handle the situation. It was obvious that the cloud beast was controlled by the merfolk and the beast would only attack the wizards from Ramsoda.

*ROAR*

The cloud beast charged at Angele and turned into a dark shadow. It took the beast around one second to reach Angele while spawning a lot of white clouds in the hall.

*BAM*

After the loud noise, the white clouds disappeared and the wizards could finally see things clearly.

Angele grabbed the cloud beast's head and lifted it up like a chicken. The cloud beast was struggling, trying to scratch Angele using its sharp claws. However, the cloud beast's claws would move away from Angele when they got too close. It felt like the beast feared Angele.

*ROAR*

It felt like the beast's body was shrinking as Angele applied some more force. The cloud beast roared furiously and its voice sounded identical to a lion.

Angele's brow furrowed and applied some more force.

*CRACK*

Blood spurted out of the cloud beast's head, and the beast's body trembled. The beast calmed down as its skull was almost crushed by Angele's hand. It just let Angele hold it in the air and stopped struggling.

The merfolk wizards were all surprised by the scene and some of them were scared.

Blue Moon's expression changed. He witnessed how the cloud beast was captured. Grand Blue Wizard was one of the strongest wizards of the alliance and it took him several days to track the beast down. He ambushed the beast when it was resting and captured it using the magic item. He tried to attack the beast but his spells dealt no damage. Most of the wizards in his team could only defend during the mission—they could barely see how the beast was moving.

However, it felt like Angele had no problem handling the attack from the beast and almost killed it. Blue Moon had no idea how strong this legendary wizard was.

The other wizards' expressions also changed. They all witnessed the scene and their thoughts about Ramsoda all changed. They needed a new plan.

The wizards from the Northland Alliance were getting anxious. They were not here to seek peaceful negotiations.

"Alright, it seems like the merfolk have nothing else to say. I guess it's the Northland Alliance's turn now." Lila interrupted after the merfolk wizards sat down. "About the ancient monster, Master Angele… you should know that the monster is moving to the Ramsoda school. We built three special teams led by three strong wizards to hunt down the monster, but we failed." She emphasized "three" for some reason.

"I have only one request. I want you to let us eliminate Param. He killed an important member of ours when we were just passing by the star dust mines."

"About Param. I don't think it's that big of a deal." The president of Ramsoda opened his mouth. "The star dust mines are in our territory, and you didn't inform us before you entered our territory. You violated the rules first."

Lila's brow furrowed. "President Andy, please watch your words. This is a political problem! Do you know who was killed? Didn't you read that in the report? His grandson of the wizard alliance's vice president, Taka!"

"Taka?" Andy did not read about it in the report. He remained silent but his expression changed.

The other wizards remained silent too but they were communicating with each other using the communication runes. It seemed like the Northland Alliance was going after the Ramsoda because the grandson of the alliance's grandson was killed. Although the vice president was just a rank 2 wizard, a war might occur if Ramsoda did not handle the problem carefully.

The atmosphere was getting heavy.

"Alright, Ramsoda, you have a lot of things to explain," Lila spoke in a light tone.

"Wait. What I heard was slightly… different…"

A strange voice caught everyone's attention.

An insect wizard from the underground world was the one who spoke. The leader of the insect wizards was named Cry Silver and was a famous wizard in the wizard world. He eliminated three dark wizard organizations alone and killed over 1000 wizards in his life.

"Cry Silver, what are you talking about? What did you hear?" Angele interrupted.

Cry Silver stood up and bowed to Angele.

"About wizard Param, we heard that—"

"Cry Silver, think carefully before you talk!" Lila shouted.

Cry Silver chuckled; he was not concerned. "I know what really happened in the star dust mines. An apprentice of mine passed by when everything happened. Wizard Param was trying his best not to offend the wizards from the Northland Alliance, however, one of the wizards had a personal problem with Param. The wizard asked the other wizards to attack the female wizard that was with Param and that was why Param fought back. Param was severely injured and all the mortals there were killed. I don't know how Param killed Taka. They probably forced him to use his final resort when they were chasing after him."

Lila sneered. "The problem is, two of our wizards died and you only lost an apprentice."

"So, you're saying that we must kill two wizards because of that?" Angele questioned. "I don't think the Northland Alliance has the right to attack us in our territory."

"Master!" Lila raised her voice. "Do you know that your words might start a war?! Param killed two of our wizards, he must die!"

Angele's eyes narrowed. "He must die? How arrogant can you be? I already sent my people to rescue wizard Param. I don't think he'll die anytime soon."

"This is a serious political problem, Master Angele! Do you really wish to start a war?!" Lila was almost shouting; it sounded like she was enraged.

"I don't really care. You're the one that's not thinking." Angele closed his eyes. He was getting bored. "Let the war begin. I'll give you two glass hours to leave. If you don't leave within the given time, you'll have to stay here forever."

The wizards of Northland Alliance were all enraged by Angele's words. Some of them wanted to curse but they were stopped by Lila.

"Let's go!" Lila glared at Angele and turned around.

The wizards of the Northland Alliance quickly left the hall and walked down the stairs.

The wizards from the organizations that were related to the Northland Alliance all stood up and left. They still wanted to support the Northland Alliance.

Several minutes later, half of the wizards in the hall left.

Angele released the cloud beast from his hand. The cloud beast stayed by Angele like a cat. It did not move an inch and the blood that'd spurted out of its eyes already dried up.

"What else?" Angele glanced around.

The merfolk wizards hesitated for a bit and decided to leave as well. They already got what they needed. They wanted to discuss something else with Angele, however, they decided to return to the Saladin Empire and inform their organization of the war. They needed a new plan for the new situation.

Cry Silver delivered a map of the night elf's underground empire to Angele. They all knew that Angele wanted to visit the underground world; the insect wizards decided to show their respect by offering some help.

"We'll be leaving too." The insect wizards bowed to Angele, turned around, and left the hall.

Andy and Sella looked at Angele. They were worried.

"Don't worry. I'll get everything sorted out before leaving." Angele waved his hand.

"That's not the problem…" There was a bitter smile on Andy's face. "We understand that you might be the strongest wizard in the area, but the Northland Alliance is huge…"

"Don't worry about it. You can leave now," Angele repeated.

Andy and Sella bowed to Angele, then turned around. They heard people cheering when they were about to walk down the stairs. It seemed like the wizards and the apprentices were happy about the incoming war.

"You heard that? They like it." Angelle smiled.

"We've lived like a dog for too long."

Andy and Sella exchanged eye contact. They had different thoughts in mind.

"Don't worry. The dark wizard organizations will assist us." Andy sent these words to Sella using energy particles.

"The problem is I don't see the point of starting the war. The other dark wizard organizations will ask us to go to the frontlines…" Sella was a bit speechless.

"This has become a big problem. We didn't know it was Taka who was killed."

"I guess their old wizards will also join the war. We'll have to proceed with caution…" Andy shook his head.

"Alright, let's inform all the professors and wizards. We need to hold a meeting and tell them what Master Angele is thinking."

Chapter 624: Conflict (1)

Translator: _Leo_ Editor: Kurisu

Three days later…

"Feb 14, 2308, the 13th dark wizard alliance has been founded."

A wizard in black robe wrote down the sentence quickly.

It was early in the morning. Two teams of black robes gathered by a tower that was made of a pile of white bones. They were shaking their hands. One of them had a black eyeball badge on his right chest and the other one had a red leaf badge.

"I think we've signed many similar agreements." The man with the eyeball badge smiled.

"This is the fifth time, I believe. This time, it was the Northland Alliance." The female wizard with the leaf badge chuckled.

There were wizards behind them who were recording the situation.

The gentle golden light landed on the wizards' bodies and was reflected.

By the border of the Northland Alliance and the Dark Wizard's Land.

Outside the White Snow Valley.

On a snow-covered grass land, there was a fist-sized hole in the ground. A grass rat suddenly appeared from the hole.

The gray rat's eyeballs rolled, and it slowly moved out of the hole, jumping into a bush under the hill. Several seconds later, it turned into a young man with face covered with blood.

His outfit was damaged and covered in blood-stained dust. The man, who had short brown hair, was rubbing a black ring on his finger like crazy.

"The school didn't give me up! They didn't! There's still a chance for me to survive!" His voice was hoarse; it felt like he had not talked in a while.

Param lost hope after he had been running for a while, but he suddenly received a message from the school, informing him that they sent a rescue team for him. He was ready for death but decided to stay in the battle after receiving the message.

He rubbed the ring 32 times.

The black ring finally shined and a female voice came from it.

"Param, the master has heard about your situation and asked you not to give up. The school won't punish you for a crime you didn't commit. The master and the members of the school are behind you. Don't be scared! We'll never give you up. We already declared war against the Northland Alliance; the rescue team is on the way!"

Master Kura…" Param was breathing heavily, getting excited. "I won't die! I'll wait for you! I will!"

Kura remained silent for a second and responded, "Take care, Param. I'll hold a party for you when you're back."

The black light slowly faded away, but Param already knew what he should do.

The Ramsoda School was no longer a weak organization after Angele came back, and the wizards knew that they finally had the ability to fight back.

Param felt like there was a ball of flames burning in his mind. He waited for too long, and the members of Ramsoda also waited for too long. Theirs was finally considered a strong organization.

Param knew that he could tell others he was from Ramsoda proudly. With a strong organization to back him up… the feeling was exciting and he was no longer alone.

****************************

"Members of Ramsoda shall not be bullied by some random organizations!"

The president stood in the Three Eye Meeting Hall of the school and repeated Angele's words.

"We shall show the world our power and everyone shall remember Ramsoda's name!" He raised his fist and looked at the members below.

"Everyone from the school shall be proud of Ramsoda and people from other organizations shall fear our name!"

The wizards and apprentices that were listening to the presentation all remained silent. However, there was hope in their eyes, and it felt like they were trying to hold their emotions. It felt like the calm before the storm.

After Andy finished the presentation, the professor of the shadow spells, Sura, stepped forward. The dark wizard had no arms nor feet. His body was supported by some metal equipment.

"I have several announcements to make. Mafi and Adelina…" The voice slowly faded away but Sura's lips were still moving slightly and the two wizards were nodding. They left the hall with around 20 members after the conversation finished.

Sura also had some information for the department of destroying and the department of necromancy.

The dark wizards were good at killing and destroying. They were masters of poison, plagues, undead, mutated creatures, and curses. They were always prepared for a full-scale war.

The apprentices and knights of Ramsoda were led by the wizards. They separated into teams and headed to the border.

The Wizard's House also sent more than ten teams to assist Ramsoda. They wanted to attack the Northland Alliance's border from different angles. The Northland Alliance was also gathering troops by the border.

The other two dark wizard organizations were slower in their preparations but they also sent numerous teams to the border.

There were more so many dark wizards moving to the border; it almost looked like a lot of snakes moving on the map.

The shadow of the war was merging onto this land.

*******************

On top of Ramsoda's white obelisk.

Angele was standing on the shell-shaped balcony calmly, overlooking the whole school.

At noon, the Ramsoda school looked like a humongous machine with gears rotating inside. The wizards and apprentices were moving in the school quickly; they looked like sticky black liquid from the sky, all moving to the exit of the school.

Teams of black bats were leaving the parking lot; there were also horses running on the ground.

Angele stood on the balcony, holding a tall black staff in the right hand. He looked at the school members quietly. He found a problem and his brow furrowed. Angele hit the floor using the staff slightly and made some crisp noises.

"Get department head Vivi here," he ordered.

The black wooden staff was a special item used by the school leader. Only strong wizards had the ability to activate the staff, which represented the power in the school. The war had started and the president handed the staff to Angele.

The staff was around two meters long and there was a dark gem floating on top of it. The dark gem had the size of a fist and was releasing gentle purple light.

Around two minutes later, a female wizard in a black long robe appeared behind Angele and bowed to him slightly.

"Master? Did you summon me?"

Angele turned around as the strong wind blew his long red hair to the left. The black robe he was wearing also made some noise.

"I have a question. The school has a guardian, right? Who's the current guardian?"

"Guardian?" Vivi had a pale face and she looked a bit weak. A bitter smile appeared on her face as she heard the word. "Master, the last guardian of the school, Master Phil, passed away around 300 years ago. The school didn't find a new guardian due to many reasons…"

"The guardian is usually not a human being. With the power of the guardian, it's possible to expand the guardian's energy wave to the whole Ramsoda forest. The energy waves released by the guardian are important to the school's defense system," Angele said.

"Yeah… The problem is the school is not attractive to the guardians. Without a strong wizard in the school, the ones who can become guardians all declined our offer," Vivi responded.

"I'll see what I can do about it. You need to tell me more about the guardian and how the resources will be distributed here. I need the details."

"Yes, Master." Vivi thought for a second and started explaining, "Guardian is an ancient technique from the old Ramsoda School. I heard that the original members of the school acquired the technique from a different realm. We don't give the guardian a lot of resources, but the guardian will be given special power."

"Special power?" Angele wondered.

"Yeah, after one becomes the guardian of the school, he must protect the school for 200 years. Also, the guardian will be given some special power during the period." Vivi finished the sentence and decided to use energy particles to transfer the rest of the words.

"The Stamina of Ramsoda's guardian will be increased by two standard levels."

Angele's expression changed and he held his staff tighter. He was certain that Vivi was not lying to him, but the special power sounded too good to be true. This was not even the central continent; he had never read about such information before.

"Are you sure that it's two standard levels? Not one?"

"I'm sure." Vivi nodded.

Angele's expression loosened.

One standard level of Stamina was around ten points in the biochip's system. Two standard levels were like 20 points of Stamina. 20 points of increase would bring one's Stamina to a whole different level.

For example, if the Stamina of a palm-sized rabbit was increased by 20, the rabbit would turn to a monster that had the size of a cow; also, the rabbit's resistance and recovery speed would also be increased greatly.

Angele's true form would bring him around 80 points of Stamina, and he had the power level of a rank 8 wizard. 20 points of the increase could easily turn a cat into a tiger.

About ten seconds later, Angele calmed down.

"Can I have a look at that ancient technique?"

"Of course, but it'll take us ten days to get everything prepared. The technique is stored in a special place," Vivi explained. "Also, we've been studying the technique for centuries but we still can't figure out the secrets behind it. The technique would change slightly whenever we were about to figure everything out—it had changed over 3000 times."

"Don't worry. Get everything prepared. I'll take care of the war first," Angele ordered. He did not expect the technique to be so strong. Although there were only weak wizards on the west coast, some lost techniques were still worth collecting.

"Also, is everything going well with the entrance to the underground world?"

Vivi nodded.

"Everything is going as planned. We can keep the entrance open for up to two months and you should be able to finish what you need to do."

"Great."

Chapter 625: Conflict (2)

Translator: _Leo_ Editor: Kurisu

Ramsoda, Liliado, and the White Forest represented the land of the dark wizards. They gathered the small organizations and declared the war against the Northland Alliance.

The Northland Alliance also declared the war against the land of the dark wizards.

Snow Valley was close to the border and many fights happened there. 12 wizards and over 100 apprentices were killed during the battles. The situation was getting out of control.

The rank 1 wizards were summoned back from different countries and asked to also participate in the war.

Battles that varied in size were happening all day by the border. The leaders of the three organization decided to gather all their forces and start the final battle by the end of the month.

However, on March 27th, a dark wizard named Kristian sneaked into the Northland Alliance's territory and released the terrifying light of the plague with the necromancers in her team.

The sneak attack killed 35 formal wizards of the Northland Alliance and eliminated around 325 apprentices or knights in the effective range. The forest and the rivers inside the effective range were all destroyed. No living creature survived the plague.

Most of the wizards that were sent to the battlefield by the Northland Alliance were killed. The Northland Alliance was enraged by the dark wizards' sneak attack; the incident surprised the whole wizard society.

The wizards almost forgot how terrifying the dark wizards' damage spells could be before the sneak attack.

Although the Northland Alliance and the land of the dark wizards battled many times over the years and they knew how to handle plague, they were unprepared for the sneak attack. The new plague, named white ants, was the first plague used in a war.

It had been over 1000 years since the last time so many wizards died in a war. If the dark wizards could backstab them again, the war would end right away.

The wizards all knew that the situation had changed—the war might end in a terrible way.

The Northland Alliance summoned many wizards back and paused the battle against the Land of Nola. They knew that they needed to focus on the war against the dark wizards. More wizards were deployed on the battlefield, some of them of high rank.

They even sent rank 2 wizards to the battlefield.

However, the Northland Alliance knew that they were at disadvantage, so they decided to end the war in a different way.

Wizard Huston, Wizard Durant, Wizard Vincent, and Wizard Kaka from the Northland alliance decided to challenge the main members of the dark wizards directly.

Medora from the Liliado, Jayce from the White Forest, and Andy from the Ramsoda decided to accept the challenge.

The Silver Scale Basin was selected as the location of the final battle. It was a basin by the Snow Valley.

The result of this fight would decide the outcome of the war.

*********************

The ground of the Silver Scale Basin was covered with grass that looked like silver scales, which was waving in the gentle wind.

The pink sunlight of the early morning illuminated the grass, reflecting some silver light.

The Northland Alliance's camp was around 30 kilometers away from the dark wizards' camp. Their camps were all protected by numerous energy barriers.

The barriers put up by the Northland Alliance were white and the barriers put up by the dark wizards were black.

The main members of the two alliances were all here. The Northland Alliance sent seven rank 2 wizards to the camp; the dark wizards had five rank 2 members here.

The battle started several days ago. Andy and Jayce already achieved some great results. They injured two of the strong white wizards, and would have killed them if the other white wizards did not interrupt the battle. However, Medora was ambushed by three wizards and severely injured. She had to stay in the camp and recover.

The white wizards were good at defensive and recovery spells but they barely had any strong damage spells. It only took them half a day to cure the two injured white wizards. They quickly summoned a lot of creatures to attack the dark wizard's camp, fully prepared for a possible long battle.

Huston's recovery spells could easily cure the white wizards as long as they were sent back alive.

The dark wizards were attacking the white wizards' camp from different angles; they had a lot more damage spells that they could use. They finished off some of the weak white wizards first as they knew that the strong white wizards were hard to kill.

Dark wizards would kill their enemies when they had the chance—that was the only way to stop the white wizards from healing.

Finally, the Northland Alliance could no longer handle the endless damage spells.

*BAM*

A ray of intense white light struck the sky and turned into a light pillar. The white light would not deal any damage, it was just pure white light.

In the dark wizards' tent, Andy slowly stepped out of his tent. He raised his head and looked at the white light pillar while licking his lips.

"The scrubs of the Northland Alliance are doing it again…"

He chanted some incantations and the green light around his body helped him fly into the sky.

There were around ten wizards in the sky, including Jayce and Medora.

"They are going to go all out, but we shall not be afraid!"

Jayce nodded and charged to the white wizards' camp first. Andy, Medora, and the rest of the dark wizards followed them.

The weak wizards stayed in the camp as they might not be able to handle the strong energy waves from the battles between high-rank wizards. The apprentices and the knights were just providing support in the camp. There was nothing else they could do.

Jayce buffed his voice using the energy particles. "White wizards. Why are you even trying? Huston, you shall not escape this time!"

"Jayce, the only thing you can do is talk. Medora, I didn't expect you to recover so fast."

A hoarse voice came from the far side as more than ten white shadows appeared in the sky.

"Yeah. I'm almost recovered." Medora was wearing a red robe. She was still coughing slightly.

Andy was flying in front of Medora. They were friends and their organizations had good relationship. He wanted to make sure that Medora was ready to fight.

The two groups remained silent after the short conversation; the battle started after they got closer to each other.

Several seconds later, light rays that varied in color appeared in the sky. There were explosions, random summoned creatures, and energy waves released by magic items everywhere in the sky.

The most eye-catching thing was a humongous black light circle spinning at full speed. The spinning circle was blocked by a white shadow with a pair of wings on the back.

They traded attacks and knew how strong their opponents were. The dark wizards still had the advantage due to their strong damage-dealing abilities.

They destroyed a couple of magic items and injured several rank 2 white wizards. They also kept attacking Huston so that he could not heal his allies.

Huston was expecting a positive outcome, but the situation was getting worse and worse. He wanted to retreat but was stopped by the dark wizards. The dark wizards knew that this was their best chance.

The situation was slightly different this time; they were all trying to eliminate their opponents. The white wizards and the dark wizards were doing everything they could to win the battle. The energy waves in the sky almost looked like rainbows.

Huston was about to lose the fight against the dark wizards who were attacking him.

Finally, the Northland Alliance decided to use their final resort.

Countless intense white rays appeared in the sky and covered the whole battlefield.

There were white flower petals falling down the sky and the floral fragrance almost replaced the smell of blood. The battle paused after the light appeared.

The wounds on the white wizards' bodies were recovering at full speed. The energy inside their bodies was also being restored.

However, the white light was like poison to the dark wizards. There was smoke rising from the dark wizards' bodies and they were groaning in pain. Some of them touched the white flower petals and their bodies started melting. The wounds left on their bodies looked like holes pierced through by sharp swords.

Andy, Jacey, and Medora did not move an inch in the sky.

"A war spell… It's cast by the strongest wizards of the Northland Alliance!"

They could not move an inch in the sky, taking a lot of damage from the flower petals.

Suddenly, a loud voice echoed in the sky.

"Arrogant fool! You shall pay for what you have done!" The voice sounded like it was from a young man.

*WOO*

A humongous red hand appeared in the hand. The hand had a length of over 100 meters and the wizards could easily see the wrinkles on its palm.

The had pressed down and landed on the white light screen.

*CRACK*

The light screen was destroyed and the flower petals disappeared right away.

The dark wizards started cheering after witnessing the scene.

The strongest wizard of the Northland Alliance decided not to fight back after seeing the red hand.

However, the red hand did not stop; it hit the white energy barrier around the white wizards' camp. The barrier did not last one second, and the red hand landed in the center of the camp.

*BAM*

The noise was so loud that the earth was shaking.

The whole camp disappeared from the dark wizard's sight. The red hand turned into a ray of red light and vanished into the clouds. Only an enormous hole was left in the ground.

The whole battlefield was deadly silent.

********************

On top of a white obelisk in Ramsoda.

Angele lowered his right hand, looking in the direction of the battlefield.

"It's over. This is like a boring joke… A random area spell cast by a rank 3 wizard almost killed all the dark wizards…"

The attack from Angele only had the power level of a rank 4 wizard, but it easily destroyed the Northland Alliance's camp, killing around 100 wizards that varied in ranks.

There were two rank 3 dark wizards that wanted to counter the Northland Alliance's area spell, however, Angele only took a second to finish the battle. He countered the area spell and destroyed the white wizards' camp in the blink of an eye.

His power was well above a rank 3 wizard's.

Angele inhaled deeply and decided to have some rest.

Suddenly, a blue ray from the sky arrived in front of him, turning into a piece of paper.

It was an invitation letter.

The one who wrote the letter was Atlanta Nicole, a name that Angele had never heard.

"Atlanta Nicole?" Angele repeated the name, looking a bit surprised.

Chapter 626: Monster (1)

Translator: _Leo_ Editor: Kurisu

"I only released one strike…" Angele's brow furrowed as he looked at the invitation letter.

"This guy tracked down my energy movement and located me within seconds. Also, this energy wave…"

Angele checked the letter carefully. The energy waves released by the letter were so strong that the space around it almost twisted.

He wanted to do some more tests, however, the letter collapsed in the air and turned into countless blue light dots. The energy waves also disappeared; it almost felt like the letter had never been here.

Angele's brow furrowed as he looked in the direction the letter came from. It felt like the letter was from the Gem Sea.

'Maybe it's the merfolk. Who is this Atlanta? How did he locate me without alerting me…'

Angele thought for a while and returned to the obelisk. Atlanta already sent him an invitation letter and Angele was certain that Atlanta would come to him if there was an important matter. His name was not on the invitation letter, so the letter was probably generated automatically. It would be sent to the ones who met the requirements.

Atlanta was probably a strong being, but Angele had never heard of him for some reason.

The war between the dark wizards and the Northland Alliance ended quickly. The Northland Alliance handed the war criminals to the dark wizards and provided a large number of resources as compensation.

Angele's name quickly spread to many wizard organizations due to what he did in the war. He was stronger than all the wizards in the west coast. He was given the nickname "Blood Wizard" as he'd killed many wizards during the war with one strike.

Angele stayed on the obelisk for a while and left. He asked the presidents of the school to conclude the war.

They thought that Angele was heading to the underground world, however, there were people who witnessed the blue ray that flew to the white obelisk. Angele left the obelisk after the second blue ray was sent to him.

The presidents checked the entrance to the underground world but it seemed like no one had approached it. They confirmed that Angele went somewhere else instead of the underground world.

The ones who had offended the dark wizards were scared. They thought that Angele was going after them.

However, Angele returned to Ramsoda three days later, and no one knew what he did. Everything returned to normal and the wizards were no longer scared.

************************

Two days later.

In the main hall of Ramsoda's golden obelisk.

Angele was sitting in a seat, wearing a long black robe. He was staring at the wizards sitting in front of him with a smile on his face.

The two wizards in front of him were also wearing black robes. They had blank expressions and no one knew what they were thinking.

"Welcome to Ramsoda, master wizards from Liliado and White Forest. You contributed a lot during the war. I want to show my gratitude." Angele smiled.

"Master Angele, don't worry about it. You were the one who won us the war!"

Liliado sent a rank 3 wizard named Mira to the meeting. She looked like a young girl with a clean, balanced body. The woman was wearing a long ponytail. There was a tiny black crack on her neck, and it almost felt like her head was sewed to her body. Also, there was no expression on her face when she was talking.

Angele could even hear some strange noise when she was rolling her eyeballs.

"No, without your help, the Northland Alliance would be at advantage. Also, I wouldn't be able to eliminate their main force if they were separated on the battlefield." Angele was just being polite.

"Thank you, Master. We're here to see the wizard who eliminated over 100 wizards in just one strike."

The wizard from the White Forest opened his mouth. The wizard was named Marry Anglo. Angele was not sure if it was she or he based on their appearance. Marry had a white pupil and a black pupil. He just gave Angele a strange feeling for some reason.

Marry leaned to the side and looked out of the window.

He could see that there were large white birds rotating in the sky.

He could hear the birds' voices echoing in the valley.

Marry sighed slightly and continued, "Master Angele, what a nice place you have! This is the valley behind the school… the air here is refreshing. I enjoy listening to the noise made by the birds and the running rivers. The wizards' experiments damaged the environment greatly. Some places are severely impacted by the radiation energy and I feel sick just staying in these areas."

"Thanks for the compliment. President Andy gave me this place; this is a great hall for visitors," Angele responded in a light tone. "Alright, let's go straight to the point. I think you two are not here to enjoy the view."

Marry glanced at the female wizard named Mira. He noticed that the woman was sitting there without moving an inch.

"I don't know why Master Mira is here, but I'll speak first." He stared at Angele and his expression turned serious.

"I don't want to offend you in any way, Master Angele, but I think you've already broken the limit."

Mira rolled her eyes and it seemed like the woman was also waiting for Angele's answer.

Angele smiled slightly.

"You're right. I already broke the limit."

The two wizards' expression changed.

"I read from the books that after you break the limit, you'll be able to release a certain type of light, and…" Marry decided to go straight to the point.

Before Marry finished his words, he stood up and his eyes were wide open. He noticed that there was some red light on Angele's palm.

Angele held the red light dots in his hand; there was still a smile on his face.

The red light dots were surrounded by a white glow and there were runes floating in the glow.

"This is the… light of the elements…?! I've only heard about it from the legends…" Marry tried to calm himself down. His goal was to break the limit, and he was excited to see the light of the elements.

Mira also stood up; she looked excited. She decided to visit Angele after she realized that Angele might be a rank 4 wizard who had broken the limit—she wanted to ask Angele what his secret was. It was the first time she saw the light of the elements. She wanted to show her excitement on the face, but her body structure was different from normal human beings.

Mira and Marry exchanged eye contact. They were happy and sad at the same time.

They were happy that they had a chance to reach the next rank, but they were sad that Angele would be the one to control the future of the dark wizards.

"What do we need to do?" Marry questioned anxiously.

Angele knew what Marry was implying. He stopped releasing the light and sipped some blood wine from the crystal glass. The wine was sweet and bitter.

"We need to create a formal alliance for the dark wizards. Dark wizards are hated by the wizard society. The dark wizards from the dark wizard land are in an even worse situation. We don't really care about each other unless it's absolutely necessary. That's why the Northland Alliance, the Six Ring High Tower, the Land of Nola, and the Merfolk Alliance have the advantage. The constant fights with the underground creatures are also the problem. If we can share our resources and assist each other, I'm sure the strong dark wizards will be willing to join us. Our position in the wizard society will also change greatly."

"I agree to your words on the behalf of Liliado," Mira agreed immediately. Liliado had a good relationship with Ramsoda, and there was no reason for them to decline the offer.

The situation for the White Forest was a bit different, but Marry knew that Angele would be upset if he had a different opinion. Also, he did not want to give up the chance to learn the secret.

He gritted his teeth and nodded. "I agree to your plan on behalf of the White Forest!"

"Good, then." Angele was satisfied with the result. "President Andy will talk to you about the details. We can sign the contract later."

They realized that Angele wanted them to leave after they agreed to the plan. They quickly stood up and said goodbye.

Angele watched them fly out of the valley and disappear into the clouds. He then slowly stood up from the seat and clapped his hands.

Two beautiful female apprentices entered the hall. The two apprentices looked identical and both had blue hair.

"What do you need, Master?"

"Take me to the Ghost Lock."

"Yes."

The two apprentices turned around and opened the door. Angele followed after them and headed to the hill behind the obelisk.

It took them several minutes to reach a black stone wall.

The two female apprentices stepped forward and cut their fingers, starting to draw runes on the stone wall with their blood. The red lines quickly disappeared into the wall.

Several minutes later, their faces turned pale as they'd lost a lot of blood. They slowly stopped after drawing more than 100 runes.

There was no noise, but Angele felt like there was now an invisible tunnel in front of him. The stone wall still looked the same in Angele's eyes.

"Please, Master," the two female apprentices spoke at the same time.

"The tunnel can only last a third of one glass hour. If you don't enter now, you'll have to wait 15 days… We don't have enough blood to open it twice a day."

Angele nodded and stepped forward without any hesitation.

*WOO*

Angele heard some vibrating noises in his ears and noticed that he was standing in a dark tunnel seconds later.

He turned his head around, but the only thing he saw was a dark wall.

"A spell that took me through the physical barrier… It doesn't seem like an illusion," he muttered as he looked at the tunnel ahead.

It was an arched tunnel with glowing blue crystals on the top. The blue crystals lined up and released gentle blue light.

Angele started moving forward and reached the end several minutes later. It was a dark-brown cave.

In the center of the cave, there was a humongous silver ball around two meters tall.

Strangely, the metal ball was rotating slowly and there were several openings on it. Inside the ball, there were countless silver gears; the structure was quite complicated.

The mechanical parts were moving and reconstructing. Angele could see the glowing blue runes on each of the mechanical parts.

Angele stopped about one meter away from the silver metal ball and scanned it using the biochip.

Zero's mechanical voice was echoing in his ears.

'Target scan completed… Analyzing data…

'This artifact came from around 240 000 000 years ago. It's an ancient artifact.'

Angele knew that the data was real as the wizards had no reason to make a counterfeit artifact. Based on the information collected by the biochip, everything seemed legit.

"Over 200 000 000 years ago… What? Where did this thing come from…" Angele wanted to learn more about the guardian technique, but he did not know that the guardian ritual was controlled by this large metal ball.

"It seems like the guardian technique is more complicated than I've thought…" Angele walked around the ball and used the biochip to record all the information he needed.

He stopped on the left of the metal ball and raised his hand.

He put his palm on the surface of the silver ball. The texture was cold but smooth. Angele rubbed the surface of the ball several times, making some light noise.

The scorpion mark slowly appeared between Angele's brows, and there was red glow flashing in his eyes. He released some dark smoke, which quickly sank into the silver ball.

Angele felt refreshed as the dark smoke entered the silver metal ball. It felt like he entered a sea of rune-covered mechanical parts. There were countless silver metal parts moving, separating, and regrouping inside the ball. The shape and the structure of the mechanical parts were changing constantly.

Angele was moving through the endless sea using the dark smoke. The only things in his sight were the silver mechanical parts.

He had no idea how long he had traveled, but he finally found something different. He entered a silver space with a tall silver wall in the front. He had no idea how tall and wide the silver wall actually was.

A voice echoed in Angele's ears; it felt like the voice was talking to his soul.

"Exchange… Exchange… Exchange…" the hoarse voice kept repeating the same word using mentality wave.

The dark smoke collapsed as Angele could not handle the power of the mentality wave.

Angele took one step back and returned from the mentality wave. He stared at the silver metal ball with a strange expression on the face.

"My soul had the power of a rank 8 wizard yet my mentality wave collapsed under the pressure… That's unusual. The wizards of the school had no way to find its secret. If they somehow reached that space, they would be killed by that voice immediately."

The mechanical structures that the dark smoke went past were recorded by the biochip, which was trying to analyze them.

Angele could feel that the biochip was absorbing his energy and using it as the resources for the task. It seemed like analyzing the mechanical structures was a hard task for the chip.

'Did you collect enough information?' Angele questioned in mind.

'Enough information was collected. It'll take around 13 years to complete the analysis. Possible result: Find a new power system named Might,' the biochip responded.

Angele was satisfied with the result. He turned around and started heading to the exit.

He was interested in the unknown power system that was from 200 000 000 years ago.

Angele organized the information system in the school after he'd recorded the information that was needed for analyzing Might. He also perfected the spells that had certain problems. The whole information system of the school was brought to a different level and was almost perfect. If the wizards in the school could continue to improve the system, the system would reach the same level as the information system of the Six Ring High Tower sooner or later. The Ramsoda School would also become one of the strongest wizard organizations on the west coast.

Angele was considered the strongest dark wizard of the dark wizard land; rumors even spread to the central continent. He eliminated over 100 wizards in one strike—not many wizards in the central continent could do that.

Some white wizards did not believe the rumor and decided to challenge Ramsoda again after the war, however, they were quickly eliminated. Usually, the white wizards were supported by the White Tooth Castle and the Six Ring High Tower, but this time, the two remained silent.

Finally, the west coast was officially ruled by the dark wizards.

The small dark wizard organizations gathered at the dark wizard land, building the largest dark wizard alliance in the history. Dark wizards received invitations and all headed to the dark wizard land.

The white wizards decided to give the strongest dark wizard in recent history, Angele Fenrir Rio, a nickname "King of Dark Wizards".

The white wizards, the Land of Nola, the Northland Alliance, and the Labyrinth School, all started discussing the dark wizard alliance with Ramsoda.

However, none of them had any words to say as they knew that they could easily be eliminated by Angele.

The King of Dark Wizards' name spread to the Land of Nola, and they all heard about what he did during the war. They used to kill every dark wizard they saw, but they decided to stay away from the dark wizard land after the war.

The dark wizard alliance was like a humongous octopus, reaching to the areas around the dark wizard land using its tentacles.

Luckily, the monster that broke the seal was heading to Ramsoda at full speed. The white wizards were relying on this monster—they wanted the monster to bring trouble to the dark wizard alliance.

Strangely, the monster disappeared for no reason when it was only several hundred kilometers away from Ramsoda, and no one knew what'd happened it to it.

Ramsoda School.

The white obelisk.

Angele was standing on the balcony, overlooking the afternoon scene of the school. The gentle sunlight illuminated the school buildings and the place looked beautiful.

"Is he here?"

Two men in dark shadow brought a strong man with a pair of dark wings on his back to the balcony. They stopped behind Angele.

"Huh, so, you're the King of Dark Wizards?" The man's hands were tied up and the strong muscles on his body were hard as rocks; there was a long black horn on his head. It seemed like he was not upset that his hands were tied up. He was rolling his eyes and it seemed like he had an idea in mind.

Angele turned around and looked at this monster.

"I heard that you broke free from an ancient seal?"

"Yeah, my name is Mogo by the way," the man responded.

"Mogo, huh?" Angele smiled. "I guess you let them capture you, right?"

"Of course!" The monster suddenly destroyed the handcuffs and kneeled in front of Angele.

"King of Dark Wizards, no one understands how strong you actually are! The fools thought I was going to attack you. How naive can they be!" Mogo chuckled. "I'm Mogo and I came here to join your team, King of Dark Wizards! The weak ones shall bow to the strong ones, this rule never changes!"

"Huh?" Angele was interested. "I think they were right. You're indeed an ancient creature and you probably know how strong I am. Why are you calling me King of Dark Wizards?"

"I'm certain that you're a strong being. I don't know what level you're at, but your energy waves are endless like a dark sea…" Mogo was showing his respect. "If you didn't hold your mentality wave back, I think none of the wizards on the west coast can even look at you directly."

Angele nodded slightly.

"I heard that you killed more than 50 wizards on the way to Ramsoda, including two rank 2 wizards? Also, you killed thousands of mortals and used their blood to recover your power?"

"I only killed the white wizards and their people. I didn't do anything to your people!" Mogo responded politely. "I won't do it again if you don't want me to."

"It's fine as long as they are enemies… However, I knew several families in Land of Nola; I suggest that you avoid that area. You can check the list by talking to Sella." Angele waved his hand. "You can leave now and have some rest. If you need more blood, you can follow me to the Night Elf Empire. They never liked wizards like us. However, don't do anything to the people in the school."

"Yes, Master…" The monster took several steps back and disappeared into a ball of dark flames.

The two men in dark shadows turned into dark smoke and returned into Angele's body. He released two lion men to capture the monster, however, he did not know that the monster was not going to attack him at all. The monster willingly surrendered and said that he wanted to serve the great master.

Angele checked the monster's power level. He had the power level of a rank 3 wizard and was stronger than wizards of the same rank in the dark wizard land. Also, it seemed like the monster lost some of his power after he was injured, but he could still sense the endless power in Angele's body.
