Chapter 637: Thousand Head Bird (2)

He advanced for several minutes, clearing most of the bird heads around. Then, two groups of people appeared ahead—they were confronting each other.

On the left, there was a muscular man blocking the path.

On the other side, there were four realm guardians, including Atlanta and Medusa.

The muscular man looked at Angele and spoke in a light tone, "The road is closed. The heads ahead were formed by at least 20 bird heads. You'll die if you proceed further."

Atlanta noticed at Angele's presence and nodded slightly.

"The bird heads were gathered around the strongest realm guardians. They used some special techniques."

Angele noticed that Atlanta's right arm already turned green. There were blue and green lights flashing on his arm. It seemed like he was damaged by the green mist.

The other realm guardians here were also injured. Angele was the only one that did not take any damage, so others were looking at Angele with surprised looks on their faces.

The muscular man's brow furrowed after he noticed the situation.

Angele did not see this muscular man when he was in the Star Lord Palace. He wanted to say something, but his expression suddenly changed, and he looked at the area ahead.

"WAHHH!"

The crying sound suddenly came from the far side. Black water was moving toward the realm guardians, its pressure stopping them from flying into the sky.

The black water was expanding at full speed. Before the water arrived, the energy waves it released stopped the realm guardians from escaping, and no one could move an inch under the heavy pressure.

"The weight of over 100 bird heads!" someone shouted in fear.

The realm guardians' expressions changed. The power level of this attack had exceeded rank 7. Its power was on par with a damage spell released by a rank 8 wizard. They noticed that there were some pink meatballs inside the water after it moved closer.

The meat balls had the height of around two meters. There was no eyes or noses on the meatballs, but Angele could see the sharp teeth in their mouths.

"I need to leave! Star Lord Palace!" a realm guardian shouted.

The silver light fell from the sky, but it was too late.

*BAM*

The realm guardians' bodies were wrapped around by the water and quickly swallowed.

Angele snorted. He dragged Atlanta and Medusa to him, then released the blood mask, which quickly turned into a shield in front of them.

With a loud noise, the shield protected the three from the water; a red energy barrier was formed to prevent the water from touching their bodies.

"What's this?" Atlanta swallowed and stood up. He was staring at the blood mask in fear.

"A unique magic device of mine," Angele explained. "Alright, let's move after the black water disappears. The water is not going after us. It was formed by the remaining energy waves of a previous strike, but we were not the target."

Atlanta realized that he never knew Angele had such an item. He thought for a while and opened his mouth again. "Without your help, I would also be swallowed by the water. I owe you one! I'll give you the potion after everything is done."

"Thanks." Angele smiled and looked at Medusa. "Where's Leonard?"

"I don't know. He didn't reach the destination. I think he was taken away by the Star Lord Palace," Medusa answered. There was a bloody hole on her stomach, which looked a bit terrifying. The twisting tissue around the hole was trying to recover.

"I owe you one too," she spoke in a deep tone.

The black water passed by the three, and it took around ten minutes to disappear.

Angele retrieved the mask and glanced around.

He had no idea what happened to the other guardian realms, and there were still pools of black water on the ground.

They started moving without saying anything else, heading toward the source of the screams.

They encountered two more merged bird heads, but easily eliminated them with the help of Angele's mask.

As the scream got louder, more and more merged bird heads appeared. They found several bird heads that were formed by over 30 bird heads.

Atlanta was having trouble handling the attacks.

"King of Dark Wizards, I have a favor to ask. The Sea Flowers are important to me so I want as many flowers as possible, but I'm afraid I might not be able to stay in the fight. Don't worry; if you can collect enough crystal pieces, I'll hand the potion over to you!"

"What do you mean?" Angele narrowed his eyes.

"Are you trying to force me to work for you with the potion? I don't really need the flowers."

Although Angele had a great magic device, Flower King, Ken, and Zoe could be stronger than him. He was not confident that he could handle them just by himself.

Atlanta was a bit nervous, he knew that he made Angele angry because he did not keep his promise.

"I only need a fifth of the total number! I'll hand the potion over to you after everything is over!" Atlanta was certain that he would win a fight against Angele with the help of the realm power.

They stared into each other's eyes for a while.

"Alright, a fifth of the total number. I'll do it." Angele opened his mouth slowly.

Medusa did not like what Atlanta was doing after Angele accepted the offer. She asked the Star Lord Palace to help her leave as she did not want to get involved.

The two continued to advance and found a lake-sized pool that was formed by the same black water.

The water in the pool was boiling. A humongous yellow head was standing in its center, staring at the realm guardians in front of it.

Ken, Flower King, and Zoe were standing in front of the pool. Shadow Demon was injured, and the dark shadow around his body turned gray. It seemed like he was severely injured.

Angele and Atlanta's presence caught their attention. They all had their own thoughts.

"I didn't think you could make it to this place. I guess there are only five realms left. The losers won't get any of the Sea Flowers." Flower King sneered.

Atlanta and Angele did not know that they would get a fifth of the total number so easily.

"If that's the case, we'll only take what belongs to us, and you can—"

"A fourth of the total number!" Atlanta was breathing heavily when he interrupted. Angele could see the blood veins in his eyes. "King of Dark Wizards, I changed my mind! I'll give you the potion if we can get a fourth of the total number!"

*BAM*

Angele slapped Atlanta in the head and blew him away. He charged to Atlanta and stepped on Atlanta's chest.

"You…"

Atlanta did not resist. He let Angele step on his chest and a smile appeared on his face.

"A fourth of the total number! That's it! We signed the contract, don't forget!"

"How greedy." Ken slowly put his hand on his long sword and glared at Atlanta. "King of Dark Wizards, what kind of potion do you need?"

"I need the potion to remove the mark of an ancestor." Angele stopped looking at Atlanta. He stepped forward and looked at the other realm guardians.

Ken's brow furrowed. "An ancestor's mark… That's a problem. When do you need it?"

"Within ten years if possible."

"My apologies." Ken shrugged and stopped talking.

Atlanta chuckled.

"The potion for the removal of the ancestor's mark is ready. No other guardian realm can provide you with the same potion in such a short duration! Don't worry, I only need the flowers, and I'll give you the potion!"

Angele was releasing red light anxiously. He hated being treated like this; no one had done that in a while.

"Guardians, I'll help you to get more flowers if you can give me the potion that can remove the ancestor's mark."

The realm guardians started thinking carefully. They all knew that only strong beings could reach this place. The weak ones were already eliminated.

Atlanta was also getting nervous.

Suddenly, a large black ring was thrown to Angele.

*PA*

He caught the ring and tried to figure out who threw it to him.

He was surprised that the ring was from the bird in the center of the pool.

The bird blinked its eyes.

"My ritual ring can help you remove the mark. What do you think, King of Dark Wizards?"

No one expected the bird to offer help.

"How do I use it?" Angele wondered.

"Eat it."

Angele scanned the ring and bit it without any hesitation.

The ring shrank and its size decreased to the size of a fist. Angele swallowed it quickly.

*WOO*

Angele noticed that a think layer of dark silk covered with blinking eyes appeared on his back. Angele felt relaxed after the silk disappeared into the air.

"That's it?" He could not believe that the mark was removed so easily. He rolled up his sleeves and noticed that the purple eyes also disappeared.

"It's not hard to do it. You just need to be smart," the bird said.

Angele inhaled deeply and looked at the bird.

"Alright, I'll not help them to get the flowers. If you need my help, I'll help you. However, you should understand that there are many strong beings here. I don't think we can win the battle easily."

The bird nodded.

"Sure, the flowers will blossom every 100 years. I can share the flowers every time it blossoms with everyone here."

Angele interrupted, "I'll give my share to you."

The others were a bit surprised. They realized that Angele probably did not live under the sea so they remained silent.

"Thanks." The bird nodded slightly and released a ray of dark light from its mouth. The dark ray landed on Angele's hand and turned into a triangular bronze badge.

"This is a communication device. Contact me if you need anything else."

Angele smiled and grabbed the bronze badge. He looked at Atlanta and noticed that he already left the place. Angele decided not to waste his energy on him.

"Atlanta, I don't want to see you again!" Spitting out those words, he turned around and nodded slightly. He then quickly disappeared into a ball of flames. After the ancestor's mark was removed, he could move freely again.

Chapter 638: Top of the World (1)

The Wizard World.

Somewhere in the endless Gem Sea.

Two dark claws suddenly reached out of the water, and slashed down hard.

*CHI*

The dimension was ripped apart, and a dark space was revealed. The seawater kept running into the dark space, while the two claws quickly turned into a pair of human hands. A tall man with long red hair slowly stepped out of the fissure.

The man had a red eye and a blue eye, and a cold expression on his face. He glanced around and snorted. The dimension fissure disappeared after he clapped.

Atlanta and Angele had a contract. He needed to get the Sea Flowers for Atlanta, and Atlanta would give him the potion. Without the Sea Flowers, he would not be able to get the potion. If Angele gave Atlanta the Sea Flowers but the latter failed to provide the potion, Atlanta would be punished. However, Angele did not give Atlanta the Sea Flowers, so the trade had not started yet, and the contract would not punish any of them.

What Atlanta did made Angele angry. Atlanta had the potion and forced Angele to work for him in the dimension universe. If the bird did not help him, Angele would have to fight for the flowers—that was why he was enraged.

He glanced around and noticed some purple light fading away. The purple light was from Medusa's energy waves.

After leaving the dimension universe, Angele returned to the Star Lord Palace and asked the palace to send him back to his own dimension. He followed the original route and returned to the wizard world. He found Leonard on his way back, but did not see Atlanta around. Atlanta probably returned to the wizard world before him.

"Anyway, I got what I needed." Angele exhaled slowly. After the ancestor's mark was removed, he felt relaxed. Angele studied battle skills, bloodlines, time, dimension, and energy radiation; however, he'd had no idea what the ancestor's mark was. He'd had no idea how to remove the mark, and the biochip could not offer him any help.

'The ancestor's mark is like a type of a curse. I should put some time into it so that I'll be able to handle it myself if I'm marked again. Luckily, the ancestor's mark on my body was not aggressive; I doubt the next mark I encounter will be passive.'

Angele thought for a while and decided to study the curses.

He made the decision and checked the direction. He turned into a ray of red light and flew to Ramsoda.

Angele already became the strongest being of this realm, and was just one step away from being an ancestor. He was no longer interested in other random things.

Only ancestors had the ability to travel in the dimension space and go to whichever realm they wanted. Ancestors had infinite lifespan, and realms where time passed fast—like the Chaos Realm—were not a problem to them.

Angele would focus on reaching the ancestor level after everything settled. He decided to spend some time on other things that he cared about first.

He was freed from the ancestor's mark, and traveling was no longer a problem to him.

***************************

Several years later…

Somewhere deep in the Gem Sea. A random island.

On a white island, there were many small houses made of bamboo. The green houses covered the whole island, and there were more than ten green boats anchored by the beach. It looked like the boats were made using wood, but the texture also resembled that of green jade stones.

There were some people working near the anchorage. They were checking the fish they caught.

They were wearing clothes made of green leaves. The males and females all had balanced bodies and attractive faces, and had green tattoos on their clean skin.

The men all had short hair, and there were green circles on their foreheads. The women were wearing green headbands, and were all wearing ponytails.

Under the intense sunlight, they were standing on the beach and the clothes they wore looked identical to the clothes produced by humans.

The leaders were a man and a woman with green eyes. They were checking the situation by the harbor.

"We didn't catch a lot of Gu Fish this year…" The man's brow furrowed.

"Is there something wrong with this area? We don't have enough fish for our people. It'll be a problem."

"There's nothing we can do." The woman was worried. "The energy particles are not as dense as before, yet the Gu Fish need them. We also have a problem with reproducing. We moved many times over the years, and there are not enough males here. I think we, tree elves, might go extinct in around 50 years if we can't find a valid way to solve our problems."

The two remained silent and there were many thoughts going through their minds.

There was a man in a black robe floating above the clouds over the island. It was Angele—he'd just found this place.

He hid in the clouds and observed the tree elves carefully.

"I didn't know my mother's people would live on the Gem Sea. The energy particles are not as dense as before, but tree elves need dense energy particles to reproduce. I think they'll die out sooner or later."

Angele's brow furrowed; he thought for a while.

"I've never seen my mother, but whatever. I don't want it to bother me in the future."

He started drawing runes in the sky, and the runes quickly turned into tiny shadows, which slowly disappeared and turned into a humongous rune circle with a diameter of over ten meters.

Angele finished the rune circle and pushed it slightly.

"Go now."

He sighed slightly.

The rune circle started falling toward the island like a heavy stone, moving to the center of the island.

Angele overlooked the area and watched the rune circle land in the center of the island. The rune circle was like a shadow and did not hurt any of the tree elves, but they were scared for a second.

The tree elves waited until the rune circle settled and quickly moved to it.

The leaders also walked to the rune circle and started observing it carefully.

Angele had already figured out that the male tree elf and the female tree elf were his mother's direct inheritors. It had been years, but he still found them through the bloodline.

He thought for a while and started writing in the air.

At the same time, rows of text appeared on the ground in front of the two tree elves. The text was written in Rudin Empire's language.

'From Angele Fenrir Rio.'

They were surprised after seeing the text. They had no idea what'd just happened.

The man looked at the text and started thinking.

"Rio… Rio… It's the last name of a noble family from the Rudin Empire! I remember now! Our ancestor was married to a noble family in the Rudin Empire!"

"That must be it! I heard that the Rio Family already founded a country on the land," the woman spoke with mixed emotions. "We tree elves also had a glorious period in the history and had many strong wizards. Sadly…"

"Only a strong being could accomplish like this. He must be an important member of the Rio Family! I heard there are many formal wizards in the Rio Family. Maybe he found us when he was just passing by and decided to help us because of our ancestor. If we find any members of the Rio Family on the sea, we should also offer them help." The man sighed.

"I wonder who this Angele is…" the woman looked at the humongous rune circle in front of her. "The rune circle is formed by gathering energy particles, but if Master Angele is a human, these energy particles won't really help us…"

She walked in the circle, crouched, and started checking runes.

*KA*

Some red electric pulses blocked her hand when she touched the runes.

"Huh?" The woman wondered. "It seems like these runes are a bit different."

The man hesitated for a second and asked, "What's the problem?"

Suddenly, the rune circle slowly released intense red light.

*BAM*

A ray of red light stroke into the sky. The light then connected the sky to the land.

The white clouds in the sky started rotating like crazy, illuminated by the red light. The golden sunlight was slowly blocked by the clouds, and there were red electric pulses coming out of them.

*WOO*

There was also sharp noise coming out of the ground, and the whole island started shaking madly.

The tree elves on the island were shocked.

"What the…!?"

The female tree elf in the circle raised her head and looked at the clouds. She could not believe what she was seeing.

The noise continued, and the tree elves' bodies started trembling.

Countless red runes appeared in the area around the island. The blue sea was turned into red, and a rune circle with a diameter of over 300 kilometers appeared on the surface of the water. The wood energy particles were filtered out and dragged to the center of the island.

Angele floated in the red sky and overlooked the island quietly. The red rune circle was releasing eye-blinding red light; at the center of the circle, there was a black scorpion mark.

It was the symbol of his true form. If he used his bloodline power to a certain level, the symbol of his true form would be left on the ground automatically. It would only happen when he had the power level of a rank 8 wizard. He had no reason to hide his traces in the wizard world, as he had nothing to feel afraid of. He was certain that even the realm guardians could not hurt him. Although he might not be able to kill them, he would not lose any fight with the help of the blood mask.

"That's it…"

*CHI*

Angele's body turned into some red flames and disappeared into the sky.

Chapter 639: Top of the World (2)

The Nightmare Realm.

The terrifying environment in the Nightmare Realm had already disappeared.

The evil gods conquered most areas in the realm. They called the new land they had the Evil God Land. The terror lords founded their Terror Land, and were not cooperating with the evil gods.

The dark red land was separated into two areas, and the remaining human beings were living on the edge of the Evil God Land. They had a small area with rich soil and were slowly recovering.

In the center of the human territory, there was a city that looked like an iron fortress.

The red clouds in the sky were replaced by white clouds, and the winter sunlight was a bit cold. The light illuminated a human statue in the center of the city.

The bronze statue was over 300 meters tall; it depicted a young man in a long robe. He had a gentle smile on the face and there was a wooden staff in his hand. Strangely, his eyes were made of rubies, which reflected the people walking on the street.

"The most impressive landmark of the human city, Querencia, is this Scorpion God Statue." There were tourists standing outside the white fences of the statue. A man with a beard was introducing the statue to the tourists that were from other areas. "This Scorpion God Statue was built around 800 years ago. The evil gods were fighting against the terror lords and the land was severely damaged. The fissures were filled with lava, and we human beings were treated like pigs. The evil gods and the terror lords captured a lot of humans and ate them like snacks." The man smiled. "Bishops Frey and Freya brought the scorpion lord's mark to the forgotten land. They saved humans and moved to this place together. Querencia was also built by them."

"We know that already. The legend says that although the Scorpion God was one of the terror lords, he always wanted to help human beings. He was the reason why we could enjoy a peaceful life," one of the tourists said. "I wonder why Bishop Frey and Bishop Freya knew the appearance of the Scorpion God. They were the ones who built the statue, right?"

"I don't know the details, but I heard that they lived with a shadow of the Scorpion God for a while. No one knows the truth," the man explained.

A man looked at the statue and interrupted, "I knew the details; I read it in a random book. Frey and Freya, the two legendary heroes, were adopted by the Scorpion God."

"Are you sure this is not just a rumor?"

"Some rumors are true. There must be a reason why the other evil gods and terror lords decided not to attack the human city after seeing this statue," someone added.

"Yeah, without this statue, there's no way that we could enjoy such a peaceful life." The man sighed. He crossed his hands and started praying to the statue.

He opened his eyes several seconds later.

"Alright, that's it for the day. You can enjoy some free time now."

The tourists walked around the fences and observed the humongous statue carefully.

A girl in a white dress glanced around and noticed that no one was paying attention to her. A smile appeared on her face, and she jumped over the fence. She walked closer to the statue and started observing.

A man in a black robe suddenly appeared in her sight.

The young man who was told of in the tale was rubbing the surface of the statue slowly.

Angele looked at the statue and recalled the days he spent with Frey and Freya. He still remembered how lovely Freya was.

He felt a bit depressed as he thought, 'They passed away years ago. My old friends, my relatives, and most of the people I knew all passed away…'

A bitter smile appeared on Angele's face as he recalled the words the other tourists said earlier.

"They already knew who I was… Scorpion God… That's why I felt everything seemed different after I got back. They applied my mark to this statue."

He leaned to the side and smiled at the girl who was looking at him.

*Splash*

Red lightning flashed in the sky.

The girl's sight blurred for a second, and she noticed that the man disappeared into the air.

*WOO*

The whole statue suddenly started vibrating crazily, and its body was covered with a red glow. A black scorpion mark slowly appeared on the forehead of the statue.

The whole city was shaking.

***********************

Eye Devil's plain.

Angele walked on the plain alone. The wind was blowing against the long grass, making his robe flutter with light noise.

He looked at the place where Eye Devil was imprisoned at. There was nothing here; the only thing he could see was a black pyramid covered with green vines.

"I guess they decided to seal themselves again… They need to recover their power and save their time. When the realms connect, they'll unseal themselves and try to collect souls. I thought they were going to be active for around three thousand years…"

Angele knew how long Eye Devil would seal himself. The evil gods and the terror lords were all sealed forms. The creatures on this land were monsters who inherited the ancient bloodlines.

"Three thousand years is the maximum. The war in the Chaos Realm got ridiculous, and they decided to seal themselves ahead of time. Three ancestors were injured during the war." A loud voice came from the behind.

Angele turned around and looked at the muscular man that appeared from nowhere.

"Bone, I knew it was you. Why haven't you sealed yourself yet? If the ancestors are going after you, I don't think you can handle it."

"I don't really care. The insects you left in the destroyed dimension tunnel are still a problem. Aren't you going to eliminate them?" Bone sounded a bit speechless.

"I don't think I need to do anything. Actually, they are my children. If they can escape the dimension tunnel, they might be able to enter the dimension universe, the world intestine, or the other realms. However, it doesn't matter," Angele said slowly. He had a blue eye and a red eye. There were golden hourglass patterns in both of his eyes.

"Everything in the world has its rules. You and I are strong, but we're still part of the world."

"I assume you're already stronger than me." Bone saw the golden hourglasses in Angele's eyes and a bitter smile appeared on his face. "I don't understand how you can improve so fast. I've lived for over 100 thousand years, but I just don't understand."

"There was a strong being that became an ancestor within 1000 years. There are many strong beings in this universe. I'm nothing when compared to them," Angele said in a light tone.

"You've already made your choice, I assume." Bone's expression suddenly turned serious. He knew what Angele was trying to imply.

Angele nodded slowly.

"There's a chance that I'll succeed, but the chance is very low."

Bone remained silent for a while and nodded slowly.

"Good luck."

"Thank you."

Bone raised his head, but Angele already left after finishing those words.

*****************************

On the other side of the humongous tornado.

In a dark forest behind a random town, there was a white tomb standing on a hill alone. The birds were twittering, and the morning sunlight illuminated the surface of the tomb, revealing the engravings on it.

'Rest in Peace. Vivian Fenrir.'

'To the president of the Fresher School: kind, respectful, and with a heart full of love.'

There were some white flowers in front of the tomb.

Angele stood in front of the tomb quietly. He had no idea what he should say. It had been 800 years; he was not sure if Vivian lived her dream. Maybe she did, maybe she did not, but nothing really mattered anymore. The important thing was that there was no soul left in the grave, and it meant that she'd passed away peacefully.

"Mother, I wasn't your real son. However, in my mind, you were my only mother," he muttered, and put his hands into his pockets. He just stood in front of the grave quietly.

The sun rose and set. The light came and went. Time was flying.

Angele suddenly shook his head slightly after a while.

"That's half a month already… It felt like several minutes to me. I guess I've reached the limit, this realm's limit."

Half a month passed in the blink of an eye.

As Angele learned more and more about the secret of time, his thoughts changed a lot. After he was marked by an ancestor for a long time, he knew that he was getting closer and closer to the Siva State.

He was certain that Atlanta was already weaker than him. He knew a lot more about time and space than Atlanta. Angele already created a whole system about the rules of time and dimension using the biochip. The system was like an enormous web in his brain.

Usually, there would be many things going through Angele's brain when he learned about any new information. Also, the biochip would filter out the unnecessary information and help him think. The whole thinking process would help him to connect all the related information and reach a valid conclusion.

However, it usually took him months or even years to process the new information completely. There were so many things going through his mind that he would forget about the passage of time during the process.

Angele looked at the tomb and suddenly started thinking again. He did not move an inch the whole time.

Some yellow light flashed by his waist, followed by a loud scream.

Angele was woken up by the noise and quickly took out a bronze badge from the mirror.

"King of Dark Wizards, how are you doing?" A calm voice came from the bronze badge, speaking in a language that only Angele could understand. If other creatures heard the voice, it would sound like a baby crying.

"I'm doing fine. What's the matter? The artifact thing is over already, right?" Angele responded. He worked with the bird over the years and they were quite familiar with each other.

The bird had a special ability. He could find the best treasures in different realms—especially the treasures that were formed naturally.

However, the treasures were all guarded by guardian beasts. The better the treasure, the stronger the guardian beast. The guardian beasts guarded the treasures because the treasures could help them improve.

Angele worked with the bird and several realm guardians together to secure the treasures. After the incident, the bird contacted Angele and asked him to help them battle the guardian beasts. Angele was not interested in the treasures, but the bird gave him several books that helped him study the secret of time.

With the help of the biochip, Angele's studying ability was on a whole different level. It only took him several years to learn all the books' content, and that was why he improved much faster than a strong being like Bone.

The bird contacted him again, so he assumed that the bird needed his help.

Chapter 640: Endless Sky (1)

Translator: _Leo_ Editor: Kurisu

"I do have something that needs your help. You need to come to me," the bird spoke in a serious tone. "I have two friends here that want to meet you. I'll explain everything later."

"Huh?" Angele thought for a while and responded, "Alright, I'll find you later. I'm pretty much done here."

"I'll wait for you in the Cloud Realm."

The light slowly faded away from the bronze badge.

Angele thought for a while and put the bronze badge back into the mirror. He glanced at the grave for one last time and sighed with mixed emotions.

He turned around and created a dimension tunnel in the front. There were colorful meteors flying in the void. Angele stepped into the tunnel without any hesitation.

In the endless dimension universe, some bright blue strings flashed in Angele's eyes. He was flying to the top left corner at full speed, turning into a dark meteor.

Angele almost understood the secret of time and space after he became stronger. He could move in the dimension universe for a short period.

A large ball of white clouds appeared in the area above. The clouds were surrounded by white strings that looked like cotton twine.

Angele charged into the cloud ball; it felt like falling into ice-cold water. The high temperature field around his body was activated automatically, but everything returned to normal within seconds.

He flew in the clouds for several minutes.

*CHI*

A spacious gray plain appeared after he left the clouds.

There were countless holes left by meteorites on the plain. There was no animal, no air, and the clouds in the sky were far from the ground. The area below the clouds had no air at all.

Angele blinked his eyes and started flying down at full speed.

A yellow crystal pillar slowly appeared on the ground. The pillar looked like an elevator that was awaiting Angele's arrival.

Angele flew into the crystal pillar, which started sinking.

He stood inside the pillar and pressed on the surface of the crystal. The yellow glow was the only source of light inside the pillar; it seemed like it was taking him underground.

Angele had no idea how long had passed before he was brought into a spacious area.

The walls and the ceiling of the space were made of silver metal. There was an altar in the center of the area. It was a gray altar with golden edges and a humongous golden fireball on top of it.

What made the place different was the creature above the fireball.

It was an enormous blue ice dragon. The dragon lowered its neck, and its mouth was right beside the fireball.

Angele checked the dragon carefully and realized that the dragon was an ice statue.

"That was fast." A loud voice echoed in the space.

Angele checked the source of the voice and found a man in a yellow robe staring at him.

The man was around five meters tall, and there was a blank expression on his face. The man had no hair and there were countless circles that varied in size on the man's robe.

"Vans?" Angele questioned.

"Yeah, this is my human form." Vans was the name of the bird. "Welcome to the core of the Cloud Realm. The core is the center of the Cloud Realm, and is one of my territories."

"I assume you've invited me here because there's something that will benefit both of us." Angele smiled and left the crystal pillar, landing several meters away from Vans.

"I'll get something I need every time I meet you." Vans smiled. "You're strong. If a realm guardian can handle the mission, you'll be able to do it even better."

"That's the reason why you asked me to come here." Angele walked to the golden fireball. "Is this the heart of the realm? That's some pure flame."

The golden fireball was around ten meters tall. Angele reached into the fireball and could feel the warmth from it.

"You can have a look around. I'm still waiting for some old friends," the bird spoke in a light tone.

Angele nodded and stopped talking to him. He started checking the structure of the golden fireball.

After he learned about an unknown ancestor's power from the Ramsoda School, he spent most of his time analyzing the power. Angele wanted a strong ancestor's power if he could successfully break the limit.

The wizards' power would increase greatly when they made it to the next rank. It was not like simple scientific inventions. They would not go from one level to another by just consuming a large number of resources.

Angele started thinking, while Vans just stood there without moving an inch. It almost felt like they were two wax statues.

Seconds passed, minutes passed, hours passed, days passed, and months passed.

They just stayed in their original positions.

Finally, two more yellow crystal pillars appeared in the space. Two men slowly flew out of the crystal pillars.

One of them was wearing a white outfit, and there was a sword hanging on his belt. It was Ken. Angele met him for the first time at the Star Lord Palace.

The other one was a middle-aged man with an average-looking face. His body was surrounded by some white mist. The man had a human face, but he looked like an elemental creation.

They slowly landed by the golden fireball.

"Ken, Eye of Judgement, you're a bit late." The bird opened its eyes and looked at them.

"There was some trouble on my way here." Ken saw Angele and nodded slightly. Angele also nodded. They met each other when they were going after the Sea Flowers.

Eye of Judgement was not interested. He looked at Angele, but he did not say anything.

"Is this the new god you talked about?"

"Yeah"—the bird nodded—"he blocked a strong strike when we were collecting the artifact."

The man looked at Angele and nodded. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Serko Aster Rondo…" His name was so long that it took him several minutes to finish. "That's my full name, but you can just call me Serko."

"Serko is a merged form that crosses two realms. His realm form looks like an eyeball; he was born at the same time as the Destruction Eye," the bird explained.

"Alright, let's go straight to the point. I don't think we're here to just introduce ourselves," Serko interrupted.

"Of course." The bird glanced at the others and waved his right hand. Four silver stone chairs appeared on the ground. "Please sit down first."

They sat down around the golden fireball.

The bird raised its head and looked at the ice dragon. "This was one of the strongest dragons that I slew. I build this statue and imprisoned its soul here. With the help of the realm heart, the soul of the dragon is preserved very well, and I controlled its mind using a special item. I found some useful information in the dragon's memory a while ago."

The others remained silent and waited for the bird to finish.

The bird chuckled. "I just took control of this old dragon's soul, but I found a big secret. I thought carefully before inviting you here." He stopped for a second and continued, "You're some of the strongest beings in this universe. There's barely any improvement we can make before breaking past the limit. However, we have a chance now with this secret I found."

Their expressions turned serious, and they remained silent for a while.

"Are you talking about killing an ancestor?" Serko spoke in a light tone.

Angele and Ken held their fists tight. They had mixed feelings about this.

"An injured one?" Ken wondered.

"You're right." Vans nodded. "Not just injured—he's about to collapse. His situation is worse than that of Light Ancestor and the ancestors who escaped the war."

"Just the four of us? I doubt we can win the battle." Serko shook his head. "What else do you have? An injured ancestor can still eliminate us like stepping on ants."

"You're correct. The difference is, this ancestor already started sleeping as he wanted to recover faster. The only thing we need to do is to break his defense system." Vans smiled.

"If he's actually sleeping, it'll be great." Angele's expression loosened. "But, you got the information from the dragon's memory, which means we might not be the only ones that know about it."

"We are the only ones." Vans was still smiling. "The other guardians and evil gods who knew about this all passed away. They were killed at the resting place of this ancestor. I took control of the entrance to that place and scouted the area. There was no other guardian in it. We are the only people that know about this now. I summoned you here because I knew that you won't give up until you become ancestors."

"I still think it'll be hard for us to complete the task…" Ken opened his mouth.

"We're the strongest beings in the area. I checked the other realm guardians, but they didn't meet the requirements." Vans shrugged.

"Maybe we can gather more realm guardians…" Angele was trying to say that the weak realm guardians could at least make the things easier.

"We can't," Vans declined. "After the battles, the entrance to the area is unstable. It'll still fit a lot of weak beings, but we're too strong. I would've gathered a whole army if I could." Vans scrunched his eyebrows. "Also, the ancestor origin can only be shared between five living beings. According to the record, we won't be able to break through the limit if we can't get enough ancestor origin."

"That's a problem, then," Serko spoke in a light tone.

"There's another problem. The realm we're heading to is inhabited by a local civilization, and we might be attacked. The ancestor origin is what supports the realm. Without the origin, everything will change and all the living beings might be wiped out from that realm, so we need to be prepared," Vans added.

"Everyone here understands the time and dimension. I don't think low-level living beings can do anything to us. I can just stand there and let them attack me." Serko was not concerned.

"I can change the direction of their attacks by adjusting the time and dimension."

"Just be careful. The entrance is still a bit unstable; it'll take around 2000 years for the entrance to stabilize. I want to be fully ready, and we'll be the only ones entering the realm. Make sure you don't leak the information to others! This is the best chance for us to break through the limit and reach the next level!" Vans spoke in a serious tone.

Ken and Angele nodded slowly. Serko did not do anything, but it seemed like he knew how important this was.

Translator Note: To make it less painful, I'm releasing the last 5 chapters in one day on Dec 24. Can't find the translator's thought thing so I'll leave it here and I'll remove this note later. Thank you for reading!

Chapter 641: Endless Sky (2)

The bird made sure that everyone understood how important this mission was, and started explaining the details.

"The ancestor we need to kill is called the Lord of Infinity. I don't know too much about him, so I don't know what his ability is; however, his main form is separated into four parts. His four body parts are kept in four different places of the realm so that they can absorb the energy faster. We can only enter the areas through the core of the realm. What we need to do is to enter the core and go into the four areas. Each of us will enter one area, but I can't guarantee anything."

"Of course. We can get fully prepared since we have 2000 years," Ken spoke in a serious tone.

They confirmed the plan and communicated with each other using mentality waves. They exchanged thousands of ideas within seconds, and checked each other's power level.

They finished discussing the details. Vans handed the three the detailed information on that realm.

They sat down and remained silent. They were checking the information they just received.

Vans invited the strong beings that wanted to become ancestors. Although there were risks, no one would give up such a great chance. They needed to make sure that they were fully prepared, and they needed to do whatever they could to accomplish the mission.

Serko stood up and said, "The time in the dimension universe is unstable; 2000 years shouldn't be a problem to me. I'll leave now and start preparing."

"I'll go and finish my things as well." Ken stood up.

"Alright, I'll be leaving too." Angele stood up as well. "Only four of us can enter the realm, which means, the entrance is a realm gate, and it's far from this place. In other words, we might not be able to come back if we go to that gate."

"You're correct." Vans nodded. "You don't often find realm gates this far, and the gate is very unstable. It's highly likely that the gate will collapse after we enter the gate."

"Understood. I'll get everything ready." Angele inhaled deeply. He knew that this might be the easiest way for him to become an ancestor.

Ken, Serko, and Angele all knew that the bird did not tell them everything. It was highly possible that he was hiding something from them. However, the information was so valuable that Angele did not care that Vans was trying to take advantage of them.

*********************

Angele did not leave the realm after exiting the realm core. He asked Vans to find him a place to plant the seed of the fountain. It was what he'd promised the fountain.

Angele left the Cloud Realm and returned to the wizard world. He headed straight back to the school and focused on the ancestor power he'd found.

If he could break past the limit, he would become an ancestor. As an ancestor, he would have eternal lifespan and endless power. However, if he failed, his existence would be completely removed from the universe—including his soul.

This was the reason why the evil gods and the realm guardians were afraid of breaking through the limit.

Time passed.

Ramsoda became the core of the wizard society after the King of Dark Wizards returned. Angele was respected by all the dark wizards. The runes he created were spread to the community. The wizards started using his runes in spells; the runes somehow increased the power of the modified spells.

The scorpion runes could increase the power of fire, illusion, and physical buff spells. The wizards in the central continent also learned about the new runes.

Angele was treated like an untouchable god, and the obelisk he lived in was surrounded by endless red clouds. The radiation energy and the illusions created a terrifying aura in the area. The wizards could still handle the aura in the first 300 years, but the mortals had to move to other places.

In the next 300 years, the radiation energy and the illusions were empowered again. Even the formal wizards could no longer handle the aura, and had to leave the area as well.

The area with the obelisk slowly turned into a forbidden land, and no one could enter it. The terrifying power of the King of Dark Wizards kept everything away from the area and turned the place into a burning abyss.

He was not interested in the mortal world anymore.

Hundreds of years passed; the merfolk declared war against the wizards again. They thought the King of Dark Wizards already passed away and forgot how terrifying his power was. They wanted to eliminate the wizards and obtain the land territories.

The war broke out again. The dark wizards and the white wizards both joined the war, but the dark wizards all had higher power levels than the white wizards.

Also, the fertility rate around the obelisk was much higher than in other areas. The rate almost doubled the average rate.

There were more dark wizards than white wizards in the war, and they easily defeated the merfolk wizards.

Everything returned to normal after the war ended.

****************

Time flew. 2000 years passed.

On the yellow planet somewhere in the dimension universe.

In a random town of the planet, there was a spacious house built with white bricks. Two human beings in luxurious outfits were looking at a dark hole in the wall of the reading room.

There was a strange vortex in the dark hole, and there was chilling wind coming out of it. The dark hole was blocked by a red bookshelf, which had been moved to the side by a chubby man. The man was now sitting in a chair.

"Is this the realm gate?" a slim man in another chair questioned. He looked excited.

"Realm gates are valuable assets to us. Sir, I didn't expect that we could find a new realm gate that was never explored here. We can earn a lot of money by exploring this realm gate! When should we start?"

"Is everything ready?" the slim man asked in a deep tone.

"Yes."

Usually, the realm gates would lead explorers to realms with a lot of resources. The first explorer who found the realm gate could claim one percent of the total resources. The empires and the large families were all trying their best to find new realm gates.

"With this realm gate, we, the Nicolas Family, will finally be respected in this area. Where are the dimension explorers?" the man asked.

"It'll take them two days to arrive. We are two large families, and the elite members we have are reliable," the chubby man quickly responded.

"We can finish the development and build a dimension base on the other side of the gate before the Moore Family figures out what we are doing. If we can accomplish that, we'll be able to control this realm gate." The man sounded excited.

"Our fifth family fleet, the Star Killer, and our services members are ready. You just need to activate this realm gate," the chubby man spoke in a low voice.

"No problem." The slim man nodded and stood up. He walked to the dark hole and took out a complicated blue mechanical box. The box was quickly thrown into the dark hole.

*BAM*

A humongous portal appeared above the planet.

In the area around the portal, numerous fleets appeared, and surrounded the portal in the center. They released silver metal balls, which floated around the portal.

The metal balls released countless mechanical antennas, their tips flashing.

Space fighters were flying around the spaceships; they were pushed forward by blue flames.

"Gate condition is normal, confirmed, gate condition is normal, starting the analysis."

"Analysis completed, everything is within the acceptable range."

"First Fleet, enter the gate."

"First Fleet opening the energy barrier…"

The signals were being transferred among the spaceships, and the whole fleet was like a complicated machine. The spaceships rotated around the portal and entered their assigned positions.

"This is a historical moment!" a loud voice spoke in the public channel. "The North Gate will be remembered! All hail Gillian!"

"All hail Gillian!"

They were cheering and shouting. The whole fleet got excited.

The elite fleet of the empire had conquered many realm gates; they could get a lot of resources every time they entered a new realm. The resources from the realms were what kept the empire and the families growing.

This time, the poor North Gate finally got blessed.

The leading spaceship released a ray of white light, and the vortex inside the portal stopped rotating after it was illuminated by it. Gentle light started coming out of the portal.

Everyone was cheering again after seeing the scene. It meant that the gate to the realm was finally open.

No one knew it would be so easy. Usually, there would be dimension storms when a gate was opened, but everything was so peaceful this time.

The first spaceship started heading into the portal slowly.

Suddenly, a ray of dark light spurted out of the portal and turned into four light dots, floating in the area.

"What's that? Something just flew out of the gate!" The commander of the fleet was confused; he quickly asked the soldiers to show him the images.

Everyone was surprised after the image zoomed in.

The four black dots were human beings that were wearing different outfits.

They were wearing long robes that varied in color, and were floating in the space quietly.

"They… They are not wearing spacesuits!"

No one could survive in space without spacesuits. Even the strongest warriors of the empire needed the spacesuits.

However, four living human beings just flew out of the gate and stayed in vacuum with their physical forms.

The whole fleet was deadly silent; they all had a terrifying thought in mind.

Angele floated in space and checked the surroundings carefully. He had mixed feelings about the situation as he glanced at the others.

Vans, who was wearing a yellow robe, nodded.

"This is the new universe I talked about; the place is interesting. I once flew in this universe for a long time, but I didn't reach the end."

"It's strange if you can't find the end of this universe." Serko was interested. "If we have enough time, I'll study the dimensional structure of this universe."

"So, they are the people with strong technologies you talked about? They are so weak." He glanced at the spaceships around them.

"Let me handle them." Ken stepped forward. "I think the ancestor's defensive system already noticed our presence. We shouldn't waste our time; we should separate as soon as possible."

"Sure."

Angele and Vans nodded at the same. They turned into three rays of light and headed to the destinations they were assigned.

Angele's body was surrounded in red flames. He teleported several times and moved away from the fleet.

*BOOM*

He heard 1 some loud explosions from behind him. Angele turned his head around and saw that the fleet was slashed into pieces by a curved blade.

The fighters exploded and turned into orange flames. Ken was surrounded by flames, but there was a blank expression on his face. He walked in the void and headed in a different direction.

"Don't waste the resources." Angele smiled. He turned around and waved his hand.

Countless screaming souls appeared in space, and were absorbed by Angele's hand.

After everything was done, Angele started heading to his destination again.

The family leaders on the planet were looking at the scene that was transferred to them. They were terrified by the scene, and had no idea what had just happened.

Chapter 642: Endless Sky (3)

Translator: _Leo_ Editor: Kurisu

The Moore Empire, the empire alliance, and the whole universe was excited about the information!

A new realm gate was found by the North Gate; the exciting news quickly spread to every corner of the empire alliance.

They were excited because a new realm gate was a stable source of income. The North Gate was far from the financial center, but everything changed when a new realm gate was discovered.

Although the fleet sent by the North Gate was eliminated, the council was not concerned. The fleet was from two small families, and they assumed that they'd sent a weak fleet. Also, people were not treating it seriously when they saw the last video being shown to the council.

"How is that even possible?! Four creatures that looked like human beings! They could move in the space without any spacesuits on!"

"We must find them and capture them! I can promise that if we study their bodies, we human beings will reach a whole different level!"

"Inform the council of the empire alliance! We need to capture them! This will be the chance for human beings to become a stronger species!"

The whole empire alliance was surprised, and countless crazy scientists started pressuring the council to catch the four subjects.

The humans wanted to know why the four creatures could move in space without any problem.

The scientists, the Moore Empire, and the whole empire alliance were excited about what they just found. A new realm gate, four creatures with strong physical forms, and the power to wipe out a whole fleet with ease. They were like a perfect biological weapon every empire wanted.

Also, they assumed that the world behind the realm gate was a rich world with a lot of valuable resources.

They started gathering their armies quickly.

******************

In the endless dark sky.

A red meteor was flashing rapidly. Every time it flashed, it would travel a long distance.

Angele was wearing a red robe, and his body was surrounded by intense red flames. There was also dark smoke around his body, and a red mask floating next to his head. He had a red eye and a blue eye. There were rows of complicated data flashing in his blue eye.

He passed a clear blue planet with a blue ring around it.

Angele's brow furrowed. He raised his left hand and slashed down.

*CHI*

A ray of red light flashed on the left, and a black spaceship suddenly appeared. The spaceship was hit by countless electric pulses. It exploded and turned into a ball of red flames.

'So much trouble! I only needed to spend around 1000 degrees of energy to eliminate a spaceship, but the number just doubled. However, it seems like the spaceships are not a problem to my damage spells. The radiation energy alone can easily destroy these complicated machines.'

Angele did not cast an actual spell. He used the energy particles to pollute the mechanical parts of the spaceship. The properties of the materials were changed, and the spaceship could no longer hold up in space. That was the reason why it exploded.

The remains of the spaceship passed by Angele's body. Some of the debris hit the red flames around his body and evaporated right away. After he completely utilized the power of the Son of Sun, the power of his high-temperature field had reached a completely different level.

The radiation energy could draw the heat to his field; the temperature could reach over 100 thousand Celsius. The area around Angele's body could reach over one million degrees Celsius. No one could survive near his body.

The secret of the time and dimension also affected his other bloodlines. The bloodline of the scorpion woman could help him travel in the dimension, and was perfect for teleporting in space. He could travel more than ten light years in a second. Also, if he decided to spend more energy on the teleportation, he could travel over 1000 light years in the blink of an eye.

The secret of the time and dimension already improved most of his abilities.

'I haven't used the bloodline power of the single-eyed giant's bloodline…'

Angele inhaled deeply and suddenly stopped moving. Raising his right hand, his right arm started expanding. It turned into a humongous hand that had a diameter of over ten meters, and he quickly struck forward.

*WOO*

Some invisible energy waves were released by the fist.

A black hole that was about two meters tall appeared in front of Angele, colorful light flashing within.

Angele glanced around and stepped into the black hole without any hesitation.

He heard some static after he entered the black hole. Angele received the message, and the language was translated into the Chaos language he knew.

"Dimension jump! It's a wormhole!"

"Get ready, everyone! It's coming!"

"Laser cannon ready!"

"Death Ray ready!"

"Main Cannon of the Sand King ready!"

A lot of random messages came from the other side of the black hole.

Angele was still teleporting in the dimension, and the area around him was pure darkness. Some light brightened up his sight several seconds later.

After he left the wormhole, he found a humongous fireball on his left. It was a star.

Countless lasers were flying at him.

Fire lasers, ice lasers, and other random lasers were going after him. He was swallowed by the lasers fired by the spaceships.

Angele's outfit was quickly destroyed by the lasers, however, the lasers were easily deflected by his body.

He was attacked by lasers that varied in color, but it seemed like he was not injured at all.

He just stood there and let the lasers hit his naked body. Opening his mouth, he released an invisible mentality wave, which quickly impacted the minds of the soldiers.

'The attack feels like nothing when compared to the damage the single-eyed giants took during the ancient war…'

Bright red light appeared around Angele's eyes. He just used one of his scorpion woman's bloodline abilities. The mentality wave quickly changed the soldiers' thoughts.

The soldiers operating the spaceships quickly changed their targets and started attacking each other.

*BOOM BOOM BOOM*

The consecutive explosions blew smaller spaceships into pieces in the space. The fleets sent by the empires were attacking each other like crazy.

Angele created a new red robe and put it on. He could easily turn energy into different items.

The light from the lasers and exploding spaceships illuminated his face. The souls of the dead soldiers were all flying to him. The human beings could not see it, but the souls already turned into a large vortex that was being absorbed by Angele's body.

'The main cannons of the spaceships went through my high-temperature field. The damage was close to the damage of a spell cast by a rank 6 wizard. Sadly, if they don't know the secret of the time and dimension, they'll never be able to enter a realm that's protected by an ancestor.'

Angele shook his head slightly.

He watched the spaceships attack each other, but quickly lost his patience. Angele waved his hand again and disappeared into the red light.

*****************

In the council of the empire alliance.

The legion commander's room was at the top of the void tower.

"The main fleet of the North Gate has been defeated, and General Harland died during the battle," a man spoke in a deep tone. He put his hands on the control panel and looked at the hologram map in front of him.

On the screen, there were red dots that were moving in four different directions. The red dots were being attacked by blue light dots, but the latter were eliminated quickly.

"I didn't know the North Gate was so weak." The man was angry. The black military suit he was wearing reflected some silver light. "They can't even handle four random creatures from a different realm!"

There were several other generals sitting in the commander's room.

A woman with a silver ponytail stood up and spoke in a cold tone, "I'm sorry, Commander. We predicted the creatures' movements and ambushed them; however, they were not injured at all. The North Gate did what they could, but these creatures were too strong. The random creatures you mentioned exceeded our expectations. I suggest that we send our special force immediately."

The commander stared at the woman. The atmosphere was getting heavy, and he was about to say something else.

"Commander, the seventh area of the South Gate just reported back! We've received the video. Do you want to see it now?" A male voice suddenly came from the control panel.

"Show it on the screen!" The commander turned around and looked at the light screen.

*CHI CHI*

A small screen popped up and showed a part of the South Gate. A humongous white bat was biting a red planet. There were countless spaceships attacking the bat; however, the attacks were all blocked by a thin layer of white mist.

A third of the planet had been eaten by the bat. The planet looked like a peeled walnut, and was almost destroyed.

The room was deadly silent after they saw the scene. The generals and the commander were all looking at the bat.

"Ha… This must be a mistake. They probably sent a movie trailer to us," a male general spoke in a low voice.

No one responded; no one was in the mood for jokes. They recognized the symbol of the South Gate on the spaceships.

The commander was breathing heavily, and his heart was racing. He inhaled deeply and tried his best not to speak in a shaky tone. "Inform the special force…"

*CHI*

The bat suddenly raised its head and made some strange noise.

*PA*

The video ended and some blood splashed on the screen. The time on the bottom right corner stopped, and the video ended with an image of the bat's furry face.

***********************

*BOOM*

Another blue fireball exploded.

Angele floated in space in a red robe. The red light was slowly disappearing from his back.

There were countless creatures in spacesuits floating around him. They were all dead.

There were humans, mutated humans, humans with mechanical body parts…

They were killed by the natural energy radiation Angele released when they approached him.

For creatures with weak souls, they could not even look Angele directly in the eyes. The light released by him could easily blind weak beings.

Angele was releasing light and heat constantly in space. If he decided to fully release his power, the weak beings would not even be able to look at him.

'If the realm power is not pressuring me…' Angele snorted, and disappeared into red light again.

Chapter 643: Endless Sky (4)

Translator: _Leo_ Editor: Kurisu

Several months later…

In an area that was full of yellow and blue planets.

The strange creatures in spacesuits were ignited, and turned into fireballs after Angele waved his hand.

The creatures had their mouths open, but their voice could not be heard in space. It felt like watching a voiceless science fiction movie.

A woman in a golden spacesuit was charging at Angele crazily; however, when she was about 100 meters away from Angele, she was burnt into ashes.

*CHI*

Suddenly, Angele felt like he heard noise made by a bat.

Angele raised his head and looked at the other side of the area.

'It's Ken's energy movement… The battle is getting intense.' Angele blinked his eyes and calmed down. 'I guess I need to move faster.'

Angele glanced around and confirmed that there was no enemy left. He started teleporting again.

**

Several days later.

In front of a yellow planet somewhere in the central area.

Angele stood in the void with his hands behind his back. His long red robe was waving in the gentle ion wind from the sun. The radiation from the sun was like nothing to him. He could easily handle it.

'That's it. This is one of the destinations. I can reach my destination through this area, and this is the fastest way.'

There were blue light dots flashing in front of his eyes. Rows of data were being refreshed in his sight; he was calculating the thickness of the dimension here.

He glanced around. 'Before that, I have something else to take care of."

On the planet, inside a silver command tower.

"I knew it! They are going after the jump point!" The commander's voice was deep. "Luckily, we found their destinations ahead of time. Is everything prepared?"

"Yes, Commander, the defense system of the planet has been activated. We have deployed the war satellites," a female general behind him reported.

"Earth Star is the empire's… Actually, the alliance's strongest gate! It's so strong that even the ancient star cannon can't damage it. I want to see what you can do, you filthy creatures!" The commander smiled. "The four jumping points are guarded by the alliance's best generals. I think we can finally finish them off."

Suddenly, the smile disappeared from his face.

"Alright, are the devices prepared? If we can capture this one alive, the empire will be able to get some valuable data."

"I'm prepared."

"Good, then. They won't be able to escape this time." The commander laughed.

A thick silver metal barrier appeared around the yellow planet, and completely covered it.

Countless cannons appeared on the surface of the metal barrier. The metal ball almost looked like a beehive.

All the cannons aimed at Angele, who was floating in the sky.

'Planetary cannons, huh?' Angele was interested in the metal ball.

He opened his arms, and a lot of thick, dark smoke was released from his body.

The dark smoke quickly turned into countless black strings and charged at the planet. The black smoke strings, which looked like snakes, moved into the cannons. The light around the tips of the cannons faded away immediately.

Angele's body started expanding. His skin turned from pale to yellow, then from yellow to gray.

His height increased from two meters to ten meters, from ten meters to 100 meters, from 100 meters to 1000 meters, and from 1000 meters to 10 000 meters.

He turned from a human being into a humongous scorpion monster.

*ROAR*

The scorpion roared and inhaled deeply. His body started expanding again.

The dark smoke was coming from all directions; the scorpion was absorbing it. The scorpion's height increased to over 300 kilometers, and its size to the size of a planet.

The scorpion monster's body turned translucent; it felt like the monster lost part of its physical form.

Angele grabbed the planet with his legs, which stabbed into the metal barrier like sharp daggers.

There were voices screaming in the void.

"Lord of Terror! Great Lord of Terror!"

"The world shall tremble in fear!"

"Angele Fenrir Rio, the Scorpion God!"

The voices were from the void, but it felt like they were just strange vibrations that came from nowhere.

The scorpion monster held the planet hard, and the needle on his tail rose high.

*CHI*

The needle stabbed into the surface of the planet.

The silver metal barrier started rotating and collapsing, revealing the largest cannon hiding behind the barrier. The cannon, which was over 300 meters long, had finished gathering the energy. There was white light inside the cannon.

The white light flashed.

There was no noise. It felt like nothing happened.

Angele's terrifying true form was swallowed by the white light.

*KA*

After the white light flashed, the surface of the planet was removed, and its true form was revealed. It was a gate.

A gate was built inside the planet.

Angele was pushed away by the white light. Some red light flashed on his body, and he quickly recreated the red robe. Floating in front of the gate, he was not injured at all.

'That's the strongest power the mortals of this world have… The same power as a rank 7 wizard… That's way too weak…' The area damage barely did anything to his body. If they could focus all the energy at one point, the situation might be slightly different.

Angele was a bit disappointed. He looked at the black gate in front of him quietly. It was a gate to another realm, and was tightly closed.

The complicated patterns on the gate were the history of this planet.

Countless red light dots appeared around Angele's body. The light dots looked like waterdrops that were floating in the space.

'Huh? This is…' Angele was a bit surprised. 'A forced teleportation?!'

The light from the light dots got intense before he could do anything.

Angele's sight blurred for a second, and a lot of golden flames appeared around him. The lava that came from nowhere filled up the area around him.

A strong energy wave appeared under his feet. It felt like a volcano was about to erupt.

The area below his feet exploded, and the whole place was boiling.

*BOOM*

In front of the black gate, the star that shined upon the gate for billions of years exploded.

The golden fireball shrank and expanded. It exploded like a watermelon that was filled up with golden lava. A colorful glow surrounded by the exploding the star.

The golden light was eye-blinding; the golden lava spurted out of the star and swallowed all the planets in the area.

The whole area turned into a sea of fire.

"The explosion of a star! You can only die!" Behind the gate, there was a silver spaceship. The commander was laughing as he looked at the light screen in front of him, but the signals were interrupted by the explosion.

*BOOM*

The gate was pushed hard, and was blown away by the impact. The gate rolled several times in a dark space and landed on the ground.

Angele's body was surrounded by the golden flames. He entered the gate and landed on the ground as well.

*PA*

A drop of red water landed on the back of his hand.

Angele raised his head and noticed the space was raining. The red raindrops ignored the rules of physics, falling crazily.

"The realm is crying." Raising his hand, he caught a raindrop. The liquid felt like blood. "This realm knows that it's about to end."

Angele remained calm, and started flying again.

The silver spaceships that hid in the darkness exploded as Angele passed by. They turned into balls of red flames and brightened up the area ahead. The souls of the soldiers were all absorbed by Angele's body.

The dark space felt like a random empty hole in the space. Below the dark space, there was a silver ball that was rotating quietly, its surface glowing.

Angele slowly landed near the silver ball and touched its surface using his hand.

Suddenly, the silver light got intense.

Angele's sight blurred for a second, and the silver slowly faded away. After the light was gone, he was already in a different place.

It was a shell-shaped space. The wall looked like red crystals that were covered with lava. The energy waves released by the wall were extremely strong.

There was a golden circle that was full of runes on the ground. A hole in the center of the circle was releasing a ray of blue light.

A man in a yellow robe was standing by the blue ray. It was Vans. He arrived before Angele, and reached into the blue ray using his hands. However, his body was frozen by the ray.

Angele blinked his eyes. He moved closer to Vans and started observing.

There were many strange blue runes in the ice statue, and he looked a bit like an evil god that practiced the power of the bloodline. However, these runes were all blue, mixed in the ice. The ice around Vans stopped him from doing anything.

"So, this is a necessary step." Angele smiled as he recognized the complicated runes. The runes were left by the realm guardians and the evil gods who were once a part of this universe. Their runes turned into the power of the universe; they were protecting the origin of this realm.

Angele could still feel the life energy inside the bird's body.

He walked to the other side of the blue ray and raised his head. The blue ray pierced through the red crystal barrier; Angele could not see the end of it.

"The ancestor already became part of the realm core… I have only one choice left…"

Two golden hourglasses appeared in his eyes, and the sand started falling.

Angele reached into the blue ray as well, and his hands started freezing.

The chill climbed up his spine and his sight blurred. His body was covered by the ice several seconds later.

Strangely, the blue ice quickly turned red; it had the same color as blood.

No one knew how long had passed in the darkness.

Angele opened his eyes slowly.

Some loud noises came into his ears.

He was on a clean street. There were people and carriages passing by. He was standing in the middle of the street, and the pedestrians were right next to him.

The bright sunlight illuminated the whole street; the buildings on the street were all gray.

*PA*

A worker from a potion shop was pouring waste on the ground in front of Angele, and the pedestrians were moving away from him.

The green waste landed on the gray road, wetting it.

The worker glanced at Angele; he looked a bit confused, but he quickly returned to the shop.

"Where am I…" Angele's brow furrowed as he checked the surroundings.

The buildings and the street lights made Angele feel like he was in a European country. The pedestrians were wearing clothes made of linen. He also found some people that looked like mercenaries.

"Hey, what are you doing?" A man with red hair patted Angele's shoulders with his hands. "Why are you standing here? Go to the guild and report back!"

Angele hesitated and looked at the man.

The man waved his hands in front of Angele's eyes.

"Are you still sleepy? You fell asleep right after we returned from the ruins. The leaders are waiting for us at the guild, come on! Hurry up!" He pushed Angele.

"Sure." Angele blinked his eyes and nodded.

They started moving in the crowd and headed to the south side of the street. The man was still talking about their exploration on their way to the guild; it seemed like he was the reason why they succeeded.

Angele had no idea what was happening. He listened to the man's words while observing him.

He was wearing brown leather pants, brown boots, and a brown vest. He had a muscular body and a handsome face. There was a tiny scar under his right eye, and he looked just like a young mercenary.

"I was already ready before the leader said anything, and I saw the red light flashing! I heard someone calling my name from behind. I had no time to think, and knocked the bear down right away. Chris caught the chance, hitting the bear in the head. We finished off the last enraged bear, and I knew that the leader was happy with my performance. That was the best thing that ever happened in my life!" The man was named Rock; he kept telling Angele about his stories. They finally reached a stone building after walking for a while.

The door of the building was open, and there were many mercenaries here. Angele and Rock just looked like two normal mercenaries in the crowd.

Angele just noticed that he was no longer wearing a red robe. Instead, there was a leather suit on his body. He saw fiver silver daggers on his belt; he was half-naked with two metal guards on his wrists.

They entered the building and saw many tables on the floor. The tables looked brown mushrooms.

The front desk was right by the wall; there was a receptionist behind the desk. There were also servers bringing wines and food to the tables.

The mercenaries sitting at the tables were wearing different outfits. They were drinking and chatting. Some of them were staring at the maps in their hands. There were also people playing cards and eating.

Angele glanced around. Rock quickly took him to one of the tables.

"Hey, leader, Rock and Saladin are back!" Rock chuckled and asked Angele to sit down by the table.

There were two other people at the table, a man and a woman. The man had a blank expression on the face; he was wearing a black cloak, while his face was covered by a hood. The woman was wearing a heavy armor; she was just sitting in her seat. There was a sword by her hand. The blade was a bit red, and had the width of a palm.

Angele also saw a beautiful woman with long hair trailing over her shoulders. She had a curved dagger in her hands, and was leaning against the wall. She looked calm and lazy.

The woman scrunched her eyebrows as she glanced at Angele.

Is Saladin still recovering? He was hit in the head by the bear. I guess it'll take him a while to recover. Marinda, you'll be the one to lead on this mission."

"Sure," the woman in heavy armor responded. "Is the mission urgent? We came back two days ago, and my axe is still being repaired."

"It's somewhat urgent. The situation is getting worse, and the pay is much higher than before," the woman with long hair said. "Walker, have you prepared your potions?"

"I didn't have enough time to prepare the paralyze potions, but I do have the explosion potions and poison potions ready. We'll have to purchase healing potions from others, but the price might be a bit troubling," the man said in a low voice. "You know the situation is getting worse; they are now quoting much higher prices for the consumables."

The woman asked Walker about the other supplies. Their conversation was simple, fast, and easy to understand.

Angele sat in the seat and listened to their words quietly.

He started observing this place after he entered the realm.

Angele observed the people on the street, and concluded that this world was a weak realm as there were barely any energy particles in this world. The mortals here were also weak.

He checked the mercenaries in the building, and noticed that the strongest being here had the power level of a rank 3 wizard. These people were wearing white robes and were sitting in the corner.

A middle-aged woman behind the front desk had the power of a rank 2 wizard.

There were also several other people that had the power of a rank 2 wizard, but they were only at the Liquid stage. Those included the woman with long black hair, the leader of their group.

"Saladin? Saladin? Hera is talking to you, Saladin?" Rock was waving at Angele again.

"Huh? What's the matter?" Angele stopped thinking. He finally had a general idea of what was happening.

The woman's brow furrowed.

"We, the Black Bird Guild, need you to analyze the materials. Your analysis skill leveled up the last time we checked. How's your situation now?"

Angele hesitated for a second. He was not sure what he should say, as he did not know a skill called analysis skill. It seemed like he replaced someone that was in this guild.

"It's… going well…" he gave a random answer. He made it look like he was still dizzy. Angele was certain that he could easily analyze the materials with his biochip and his database.

"Sounds good." The woman started talking about the requirements of the next mission.

Angele sat in the chair and listened to their conversation quietly while checking the surroundings.

He was a member of this Black Bird Guild, and his duty was to analyze the rare materials they found. He was an important member of the team.

The Black Bird Guild was a famous mercenary group in the city. The city was called Shine City, and the Black Bird Guild usually worked for the nobles. They just completed a hard mission, but there were other missions waiting for them.

Angele rubbed the wooden cup in his hand. The surface of the cup was a bit rough; he sipped some wine from it. The wine was sour, and barely tasted like wine.

He put his arm on the wooden table. The table was a bit wet and cold.

Angele was no longer interested in their conversation after he had a general idea of the situation. He started glancing around again.

A young man and a young woman walked to the front desk. They were wearing gray robes, and were talking to the receptionist. It seemed like they needed some intel.

There were three black metal signs hanging on the gray wall, covered with words and stamps. It seemed like the signs were business licenses.

There was also a glowing figurine floating on the left. The figurine was made of green crystal.

Time passed. Angele arrived at the building in the morning, and it was now noon.

Hera ordered some food, and they quickly finished the lunch together. Hera decided to gather the members and start the mission at night.

Angele talked to the other members for a while and left the building alone.

He stood by the entrance of the building and watched the pedestrians walk. He scrunched his eyebrows as he was still a bit confused about his situation.

'Where is this place… I have the improved scorpion woman's bloodline power, but I can't detect any other realms. Maybe this is a special realm that belongs to the injured ancestor?' He leaned against the wall and started thinking.

'Why was I teleported to this realm? If Vans gave us the correct information, this should be the ancestor's realm, or a realm that was created based on his memory. What should I do to learn the secret of the Infinity Origin?'

A lot of thoughts was going through his mind, but the biochip quickly filtered out the thoughts that were not logical. The biochip was analyzing the data it collected after Angele entered the realm, but there was no conclusion.

'Infinity Origin, Infinity Origin, I don't even know what that is!' Angele was getting a bit anxious.

"Ah!"

Suddenly, he heard someone scream ahead, and raised his head.

A white carriage with silver decorations charged at a little boy that was standing in the middle of the street, and a middle-aged woman beside him screamed in fear.

The boy was so scared that he just stayed there, and did not move an inch.

Suddenly, a dark shadow flashed in front of the boy.

*BAM*

The shadow and the boy were blown away by the impact. They lay on the ground, and there was blood spurting out of their bodies.

The pedestrians quickly surrounded them.

A man with white hair checked their condition and said, "They are done for…"

The people were all blaming the carriage. However, the carriage already escaped, and no one knew where it went.

The shadow was a middle-aged man with dirty clothes. It seemed like he had not taken a shower in a while. Sadly, he was too slow. He failed to save the boy, and lost his own life.

Angele just stood there and watched the whole thing. The guards arrived after a while and picked up the dead bodies. They asked the pedestrians to leave, so Angele started walking down the street.

"The sky is roaring… The sky is dancing… The sky is burning… The mask of a joker will consume everything. The long tail will bring everything to an end…"

Angele heard a homeless man saying random things when he walked past a street light.

Angele glanced at the man, but did not stop.

He walked around the city; it was getting dark outside. Angele was not interested in having dinner, and decided to regroup with his team.

The other members of the Black Bird Guild were already waiting for him by the exit of the city.

Angele walked to the city gate, and Hera explained the mission again. They then jumped on their horses and headed to the forest.

The mission was similar to the ruin exploration done by the wizard apprentices. They just needed to defeat the beasts and reach the destination that was marked on the map. If they found valuable herbs, they would collect them.

The destination was not far from the city. It only took them several minutes to reach a forest with red trees, and they found a hole in the ground.

"This is the place." Hera walked to the hole and looked at it. "Rock, your turn!" she spoke in a serious tone. The hole was about one meter deep.

Rock nodded and raised the torch. He took a short wooden stick from his belt and ignited it. He then threw the burning stick into the hole and crouched, trying to see if the stick would hit anything.

It seemed like the stick did not hit anything.

"Three guilds already checked this mysterious hole, but none of them found any valuable information. That was the reason why they decided to increase the rate and hire us," Hera spoke in a low voice as she stared at Rock.

Angele suddenly raised his head and looked at the night sky.

There were red meteors falling down the sky, landing on the ground.

*WOO*

The loud noise attracted everyone's attention.

They were all looking at the meteor rain. Rock stood up and looked at the strange scene in the sky.

They realized that a red meteor was about to hit them.

"Run!" Hera shouted like crazy. She released a ray of black light, which hit the meteor, but it did nothing to it.

Angele just stood there and looked at Hera's face. He suddenly felt that his heart was aching for no reason.

*BOOM*

The intense red light swallowed Hera and the other members. Angele was the only one that somehow survived.

"This is not my feeling…" Angele stood there and looked at the burning flames with his brow furrowed. There were four dead bodies on the ground, and he was staring at Hera's body for some reason.

*Crack*

Suddenly, he heard crystals being formed.

A thin layer of purple crystal appeared under the flames, which slowly died out. The crystal layer started to expand to other areas.

*KA*

Angele felt like he heard some mechanical noise. It sounded like the noise made by a ticking clock, but it also sounded like a drop of water landing on the ground.

His sight blurred, and the area around him was brightened up.

Angele noticed that he was standing in the middle of the street again. There were pedestrians and carriages passing by. The golden sunlight illuminated the road and the buildings around.

"Is this…" Angele's brow furrowed.

*PA*

A worker from a potion shop was pouring waste on the road in front of Angele, and the pedestrians quickly moved to the side.

The green waste landed on the gray road, which immediately became wet.

The worker glanced at Angele, but quickly returned to the shop.

"I've seen this." Angele had a great memory, and he recognized the worker immediately. He was certain that the two workers were the same person.

"Hey, what are you doing?" A man with red hair patted Angele's shoulder. "Why are you standing here? Go to the guild and report back!"

Angele looked at the man. It was Rock.

The man waved his hand in front of Angele's eyes. "Are you still sleepy? You fell asleep right after we returned from the ruins. The leaders are waiting for us at the guild. Come on! Hurry up!" He pushed Angele.

Angele's brow furrowed, and he started walking to the mercenary's building.

"I was already ready before the leader said anything, and I saw the red light flashing! I heard someone calling my name from behind. I had no time to think, and knocked the bear down right away. Chris caught the chance, hitting the bear in the head…"

It was the same. He was saying the same thing.

Angele observed Rock carefully. He was speaking in the same tone, and his facial expressions were also the same.

'Everything reset?'

He followed Rock to the building.

Everything was the same.

The tables looked like brown mushrooms.

The front desk, the receptionist, and the waiters. The wine and the food. It felt like nothing changed.

The members of the Black Bird Guild were sitting at a table. Hera was still leaning against the wall, playing with her dagger.

Angele and Rock walked to them. The conversation was also the same. They were just repeating the same thing.

Angele sat down by the table; he had a general idea in mind.

'This must be the world in this ancestor's memory… He was a member of this Black Bird Guild when he was weak…' Angele thought as he observed the leader of the guild named Hera.

Hera had long black hair that was nice and smooth. Some of her black hair was around her chest, and she had a balanced body with long legs. She looked a bit lazy, but she was still attractive. For some reason, she did not look like a wild mercenary. There was something special about her.

Angele felt like he wanted to hug Hera when he was looking at her. He was certain that it was the ancestor's thought. The ancestor loved Hera.

"What happened, Saladin? Why are you staring at me?" Hera noticed that Saladin was a bit different. He had never stared at her in an aggressive way like this. They worked together for years, and it was the first time that Saladin did something like this.

Angele narrowed his eyes slightly, but did not respond.

Everything else was the same. They finished the lunch and were dismissed.

Angele hesitated for a while and decided to leave the building.

*BAM*

He heard the familiar noise and screams.

The middle-aged man and the boy were blown away by the impact. There was blood spurting out of their bodies.

The pedestrians quickly surrounded them.

"They are done for…" A man with white hair stood up and shook his head. The pedestrians got noisy again.

Angele's brow furrowed after seeing the familiar scene. He turned around and started walking down the street.

"The sky is roaring… The sky is dancing… The sky is burning… The mask of a joker will consume everything. The long tail will bring everything to an end…"

Angele heard a homeless man saying random things when he walked past a street light.

Angele stopped and stared at the homeless man.

"Who told you these things?" he questioned in a deep tone.

"Who? Ha…" The man did not respond. He wanted Angele to pay him.

Some red light flashed in Angele's eyes. He checked the man's memory using his ability.

'From a wall of a random ruin?' He scrunched his eyebrows again.

The team regrouped at night, and started heading to their destination. Everything was progressing like there was a script.

The important moment came again.

Angele raised his head and looked at the night sky.

The red meteors started soaring through the sky, landing on the ground.

The meteor was about to land on the four.

Suddenly, red light flashed in the sky.

Angele snorted and raised his hand.

*BAM*

An invisible force stopped the meteor. It felt like the meteor was blocked by a large hand.

*BOOM*

The meteor exploded into pieces, flying into the forest.

The mercenaries were looking at Angele like staring at a ghost.

"Saladin…" Hera's voice was hoarse; it felt like she was about to say something.

Angele felt a bit excited after he saw the surprised look on Hera's face.

*PA*

The same noise echoed in his mind again.

His sight blurred, and he was standing in the middle of the street. The morning sunlight illuminated the buildings again.

"Damn it!" Angele's expression turned serious. He realized that the noise indicated the end of the loop. He already mastered the secret of the time and dimension, but he had no idea what happened. From his perspective, the time was not modified at all.

"I almost made some progress. It seems like I need to find out how to trigger the ancestor's emotions if I want to get a different result." Angele noticed that something happened when he felt excited.

"If I can make the ancestor experience different emotions, I might be able to find the secret of this realm…" Angele narrowed his eyes, and quickly made a new plan.
