Chapter 1 The New World

Jason run's through the street's he wear's a black uniform and a green kevlar vest on his arm is a red bandana showing the color's of a group he follows called the Red Crow's he went to report to his camp when a giant horde came out of no where. Everyone died only a handful of people survived Jason jump's over the hood of the car his military mask cover's his face he has a black hoodie cover the top of his head and he wear's black camo pants.

He hears the sound of the undead starting to gain ground their grunt's and howls starting to get louder Jason look's back and see's a dozen or so chasing him most are. Red Crow zombie's and other's office worker's teacher's builder's and a judge who has a bloody wig that blows in the wind Jason stop's and aims his M16 at them he fire's burst shot's the bullet's rip into them like nothing.

He reloads and fire's again and finishes them off he turn's and continues at a more slower pace his watch Start's beeping he check's it it's nearly 8 PM Jason has to find shelter before night time Jason keeps moving when something catches his eye's. A teenage girl who look's nearly the same age as him she hide's behind a garbage bin she sobs quietly "hey it's okay I'm no threat you don't need to hide."

The teenager stand's up she has dirt on her face and clothes her blonde hair is messy and she look's tired she wear's a ripped white T-shirt that show's part's of her tan skin and she wear's a blue denim jacket her pants are ripped she wear's nerdy glasses and she has a bandage wrapped around her leg. She raises her hand's in the air "please don't hurt me I don't have anything" Jason take's of his mask showing a handsome face his black hair is messy but not unkept his brown eye's make him even more handsome.

"I'm Jason and you are" the teenager hesitantly speaks "I'm....Samantha nice to meet you Jason" she limps over and hold's out her hand and shakes his hand Jason hears the growls of zombies scream out Jason turn's to see's about a hundred. Jason look's back at Samantha and gestures for her to follow him "come on it's better if we don't split up" Samantha look's at her leg "I won't be able to out run them just leave me."

Jason take's Samantha's arm and put's it over his neck and lift's her up "I'm not gonna leave you even if we just meet" Jason runs with this pretty girl in his arm's Jason then see's another horde block them from the front he look's around and see's a small wearhouse has it's door open. He rushes inside and put's Samantha down "thanks for not leaving me back there it's good to see descent people are still around" Jason close the door and lock's it with s steel bar that goes across it.

Samantha limps to some stairs that lead's to a room Jason take's the lead he opens the door and see's nothing it's pitch black Jason pulls out a lantern from his backpack the room fill with a white light nothing but filing cabinets some paper stacked on a table an old computer sits on the table and a bed sits in the corner of the room Samantha sits down on a box she look's at her wound and peel's back the bandage. Jason kneels down beside her a giant gash goes across her thigh it's not infected and it is cleaned "what happened?" "um my group was ambushed by some men they killed everyone but tried to um hurt me" her hands start to shake Jason gentle take's her hand she smile's.

"Well I got good news you will live but will have to stitch it lucky I'm good at medical work" Samantha look's at the needle that Jason pulls out "I don't like needles" Jason look's at her "think of happy thought's." Samantha closes her eye's and she let's out a sharp inhale Jason finishes and put's on a new bandage. "Why are you being so nice to me" Jason tap's his red bandana "it's what I am I help people" Samantha nods "I'm gonna rest."

Jason see's her go to the bed and lays down Jason opens up his bag and pulls out some food and water he gives her two bottle's of water and some canned food Samantha is fast asleep so he put's them on a box beside the bed. Jason lays on the floor staring at the ceiling Jason puts his M16 beside him his eye lids close and he drift's off to sleep.

Jason wakes up to his watch beeping he sits up still half asleep he checks the time 7:45 AM it is freezing in the small office Jason turn's to see Samantha has finished her meal he gave her he stand's up and stretches making his back click. Samantha stand's up she has a slight limp and walk's to the door Jason follows behind Samantha turn's to him "you want to tag along I'm going to where my brother and his group are set up it's by the near by school."

Jason nods "lead the way" Samantha and Jason walk through the street's Jason has his M16 in his hand's while Samantha hold's nothing "hey you should have a gun or a weapon" Samantha shakes her head "I'm not a killer I can't fight even to protect my self I just fix thing's mostly electronic. Jason nods "just stay behind me then" Jason continues moving when he see's a giant school up ahead it has huge metal Walls all around it.

A big gate stand's at the front of the entrance they walk slowly to it a male voice is heard from the other side "you guy's better leave or we will shoot you two" Samantha speaks "Henry is that you?" the door opens and a tall guy walk's out he wear's a black T-shirt and blue jeans. "Samantha I thought you died" they have a hug and Henry look's at Jason "Jason this my brother Henry" Jason shakes his hand and Henry let's them inside.
