Rich Kid

"Tournament? Too much trouble." Said Josh.

Josh had bad physical attributes so he never participated in the sports they did.

"Hmph, you need to stop being lazy Josh. It's not good for your health!" Responded Nate, who was the sports maniac.

"Staying out doesn't seem like that bad of an idea actually…" Max mumbled under his breath, as he felt having his only attack be a thrusting technique would make him a laughingstock.

"How about you Max? I'm going to participate." Said Jake, who put his arm around Max's shoulders.

"Max? He'll participate. He and me used to be battle buddies back in middle school." Said Nate.

He and max would often take on the local middle school gangs together back then, and come out with only bruises while the gangs were destroyed.

"Hoh? You're a rough house too…? I never knew that." Said Josh who looked up from his book at Max like he was an alien.

"I'm not a rough house! I just had a bad temper back then." Retorted Max.

"Says the guy who would alway let out a battle cry like a maniac shouting oraoraora and rushing into the enemy frontlines. Do you know how many times I had to save your behind?" Said Nate.

"Well we have two members joining the tournament then. I'll cheer you on from the stands!" Said Jake who waved his blonde hair with his hand, and caused some girls nearby to go "Kya~".

"Stop showing off, hunk boi…" Mumbled Nate angrily.

"Don't blame me for being born beautiful… Unlike some musclehead." Said Jake as he lifted his nose high up to taunt Nate.

"You…" Nate scrunched his brows and was about to tackle Jake.

"Ah, the beast is about to ravage again~!" Said Jake in a dramatic tone, as he waved his hand like a damsel in distress with a handkerchief, and his other hand on his cheek.

"Enough you two. It's making it hard to read with all this noise." Josh said as he looked up from his book angrily.

"I think you guys need to stop. Afterall, class is about to end." Max said while shaking his head.

Nate let out a sigh and sat back down. "Thank them for saving your life…"

"Oho? Who said you had the ability to take it?" Taunted Jake, while patting Nate on the shoulder.

Jake was another fighter in their group who was pretty even with Nate, surprisingly enough.

While Nate relied on power and strength, Jake was quick and used fancy techniques.

"Stop chirping like two lovebirds, and lets focus on this class." Max spoke, as he waved to them to stop.

Mrs. Bernet then wrote the homework assignment on the board and put the chalk down, as she began passing out papers.

"Shoot… I didn't pay attention… What's this homework about?" Asked Nate.

"It's about Trigonometry. Easy stuff." Said Josh while shooting bragging glares at Nate.

"Hmph… You only know how to use your brain…" Coughed Nate, as he knew he was no match for Josh in academics.

"Hey Joshy… Can you teach me how to do this…? Pretty please?" Jake asked softly.

"Learn it yourself from a Yaytube video or something. I have books to read." Josh smiled and went back to reading.

"Urgh… So you're an enemy too right now…" Jake said and nearly coughed up blood.

"Enough guys, just learn it yourselves alright?" Max scolded them.

"Alright mom. Anyhow, who's up for some guild battles tonight?" Said Nate.

"Were taking on the Drenders right? Count me in." Responded Jake who had an evil smile.

"There it is… His true form… In all of its darkness." Josh said while closing his book.

"I don't know if i'll make it, but count me in." Said Max. He already knew that Josh was going to be there since Josh was a computer game freak.

"Class has ended. Head to your next class everyone." Said Mrs. Bernet.

"There's the signal. See you later." Said Jake who dashed out the classroom door.

Max and the others followed suit and after Jake and left the room.

-Two Boring Class Periods Later-

"Time for lunch. All students dismissed." Mr. Kaz said as Max got up and left the gym.

"I'm starving!" Said a student next to Max as he ran out the door.

"Out of the way kid. Juel Sama goes first." Said a buff student who shoved the kid aside, and stepped to the side as well to let a blonde haired boy out the door.

The boy was wearing expensive clothes that had brand names on them and golden lines running across them.

"Good work Salvok. I'll make sure to give you a bonus." Said Juel, who nodded to the big kid named Salvok.

"Looks like trouble…" Said Max, as he stayed behind.

"What? Right Now?!" Max shouted without thinking.

"Who was that?" Said Juel, who looked over in Max's direction.

Max hid behind another student and cursed, as he held his breath.

"You there, come here." Juel pointed at the kid in front of Max, as Max let out a breath, and the skinny kid with brown hair walked forward.

"You're an awful nuisance if you think you can shout at me for leaving first." Said Juel, while slapping the poor kid's face.

*2*

"N-no sir! It wasn't me!" He shouted while moving to his knees to beg for forgiveness.

"Then who was it?" Demanded Juel.

*1*

"I-It was…" The kid looked in Max's direction, which caused Juel to look as well.

"Oh?" Said Juel as he bent down and put his hand under the skinny boy's chin. He gently rubbed the cheek he slapped and moved his face closer.

"Good boy."

*Survive Rich Kid's Assault*

"Oh god…" Max mumbled under his breath, as he ran in the other direction.

"COME HERE MY NEW TOY!" Shouted Juel who had reddened eyes and spit drooling from his mouth.

"GRAB HIM!" Juel shouted, as four buff guys ran after Max.
