Nightmare

The next morning, Kaylee woke up with a heavy feeling inside her. Christopher had already been awake and was sitting on the bed. Kaylee slightly opened her eyes and looked at the man beside her.

The man looked at her and smiled. "Good morning," he said as he leaned closer to her and kissed her forehead. "Are you hungry?"

Kaylee shook and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Christopher smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," Kaylee said in a lower voice. The truth is, she had a bad dream. She can't remember what exactly happened, but she was sure that Christopher was not with her and that she couldn't find him everywhere.

Christopher patted Kaylee's back. "You sure?"

Kaylee nodded. "Yes." She lifted her head and looked at Christopher. "Can we stay like this, for a while?"

Christopher held her tighter. "Of course. If you want, you can stay like this all day."

She smiled. "You said you're going to let me meet someone today." She let out a sigh of relief. 'It was just a nightmare. It's not going to happen. I was just paranoid to believe that it was. After all, this relationship is too perfect. Top was like a full package. He's sweet and caring, and most of all, he has everything a girl would fall in love with. I just hope that I was just really a nightmare.'

Kaylee blinked when she felt something from her below. Christopher's hand went down from her lower back. He went on top of Kaylee. His right leg is now in between Kaylee's leg. His hands traveled into Kaylee's body as he started to kiss her neck when he heard a knock.

He stopped on his track as he gritted his teeth. 'Damn you, Liam!' He cursed under his breath.

Kaylee bit her lower lip to stop herself from laughing.

Christopher frowned and looked at her with a frustrated expression. "I'll be right back."

Kaylee touched his eyebrow with her index finger and kissed him on his lips. "Go on. That must be urgent. I am going to take a bath."

Christopher kissed her nose and stood up. He took his robe and put it on. He walked toward the door with a dissatisfied feeling. He slid open the door, walked out, and closed the door behind him.

Liam's jaw dropped when he saw Christopher wearing only his robe. "Did I disturb something?"

Christopher glared at him. "What do you think?"

Liam awkwardly smiled at Christopher and gave him a peace sign. "Sorry."

Christopher signed. "What is it?"

Liam looked at him worriedly. "Char called me. She said she tried calling you, but you're not answering your phone."

Christopher looked at the door of their room and then at Liam. "Follow me," he said as he walked away from their room.

When they reached the living room, Christopher looked at Liam. "What did she say?"

"Your mom wanted to meet you." He sighed. "With Kaylee."

"When?"

"Today. She said your mom wanted you to bring Kaylee home and stay over for a night."

Christopher frown. "What? NO!"

"If you said no, your mom will make a move on her own." Liam reminded him.

Christopher massaged his temple. "We were supposed to meet Kaylee's grandmother today."

Liam sighs. "About that, I suggest you postpone it for a while. She's recovering, so you don't have to worry."

Christopher nodded and ran his fingers into his hair. "Are you sure she said she wanted us to stay overnight?"

Liam nodded.

"Okay," Christopher said before leaving Liam alone in the living room.

On his way to their room, Christopher clenched his fist and gritted his teeth. "Damn it!" He said angrily as he punched the wall beside the door of their room. His fist started to bleed. He took a deep breath before entering the room.
