Though Rose wasn't spooked by some parts if the mansion, she did have a weird feeling about it. Maybe it was the spookiness getting to her or it was actually something weird about the place.
Tonight she couldn't sleep, it was dark and thundering outside. Thunder was one of the things she feared the most even though she was 16 years old. Kai was dead asleep in his room and she didn't want to bother him so she went downstairs to the couch, which was big and comfortable. She sat down for a few seconds then all of a sudden she felt something on her back, the next things she knew, she flew off the couch and hit the wall "Ow!" she screeched. Rose looked at the couch in confusion. "What.. pushed me off the couch..?" She asked herself. She heard something but it was very low, creepy and faint. "Go.... awayyyy...." She listened closely and it sounded like the voice of a male 12 year old.
Rose felt utterly terrified.
"G-GHOST!!!" She screamed and ran back into her room, hiding under the covers. "T-this place hus haunted??
Rose was never the type to believe in the existence of ghost, but tonight she did. "This is only supposed to happen in shows and books... not in real life! " She repeated this same sentence over and over to try to convince herself that what happened on the couch wasn't real.
It didn't work.
She remembered that she had her small holy cross in a box under her bed and quickly reached for it, taking it out of the box carefully.
"I should be safe with this..."
She sat in the corner with her guard up high and the cross clutched in her hands against her chest.
She gulped and raised her voice "Be gone evil spirit." She said.
The room became very chilly all of a sudden... From the corner of her ear, she heard a faint and creepy laugh. "Did you honestly expect that little toy to drive spirits away? Ah... humans are so stupid that its almost funny~" It was the same spinetickling voice she heard near the couch. She raised the cross up and started praying as she kept her eyes closed. "Oh god... please help me..." She prayed and prayed until she felt the cross slip out of her hand, she quickly opened her eyes, seeing that the cross wasn't in her hand anymore. "Huh..?" She looks up and sees it in mid air, moving around a little bit. She whimpered and burried her head in the pillow she was gripping onto. "Someone please save me...." She mumbled.
Her request must've been heard because she felt a soft, gentle little stroke on her cheek. She slowly looked up and made eye contact with a boy who appeared to be 12.
Rose calmed down. "W-who are you?" She calmly asked.
They boy chuckles. " This is no fun. Now that you can see me, you're not scared anymore which means that I won't be able to feed off of your fear... " He pouted. The boy had messy, yet cute black hair, small, asian like slanted grey eyes, pale skin, a few cuts on his face and he had a small nose and mouth. He wore a long, ripped black cloak that drags on the floor. He was somewhat transparent, meaning you could see through him which was understandable since he's ghost after all.
"Who are you?" Rose asked.
He plays with his doll that looks exactly like him"Do you really want to know?"
"Yes." she responds.
"Okay, but you'll have to give me candy if you want my name."
She sighs. "But we have no candy here."
The boy shrugs. "Well make it happen."
Rose got up and hesitantly put on her coat and boots. "I-is there anything specific that you'd like..? I wouldn't want to displease a ghost... "
The boy thought for a moment.
" Hmmm... 19 different cakes."
Rose gasped "19?!"
He frowned and gave her a death stare. " Or I can kill you right here and now. It's really up to you."
" Okay, okay I'll get your cakes. "
She grabbed her umbrella then made her way outside. It was so windy and rainy, you'd think its a category 3 hurricane. Rose opens her umbrella and made her way to the store.
