Chapter 3

Rose's umbrella managed to get blown and away. She didn't bother chasing after it. About half an hour later, she arrived at a big bakery full of sweet and flavorful smells. She walks inside and looks at the different cakes. There was over 100 flavors! "Okay.... now what to get.." She tried to go for the least expensive cakes, being that she only had 28,000 yen on her.

After looking for a while she ordered all 19 cakes that got her attention, leaving only 2 yen in her pocket. "Grrr... that kid better give me something in return for making me drain all of my money... " She walked out of the store with a bunch of boxes in her hands.

- At home -

"Um kid...? I got your cakes." She looked around calling him. She got no response. "Where is he?" she mumbles to herself.

She sees a trail of lollipops on the ground leading to somewhere. She sets the bags down and follows the trail with curiosity and is eventually led to the upstairs balcony which is over 6 stories above the ground. She sees the kid sitting on the edge it. "There you are... I got the cakes as you requested." She says.

" Oh. Why thank you kind lady." He looks up at the pouring sky and hugs his doll closer.

Rose couldn't help but notice how sad he looks. "Could the rain remind him of something painful before he died?" She thought.

He looked down and let a long sigh then jumped down and a loud thud could be heard. " H-hey! Rose yelped and ran down to him and kneeled by his side. " Are you okay?!" She asked panicked. The boys eyes slowly opened. "Why are you worried? It's not like I would've died since I'm already dead..." He got up and looked at her. " Where's my cakes? "

" Oh right, they're in the living room" she led the kid to them.

-An hour later-

" Ahh that was so good~" He rubbed his full stomach, perfectly satisfied of his sweets.

"Uhh... aren't you going to get diabetes now or something..?"

He shot her a look " Spirits don't get health conditions thank you very much. Hmph! " Rose sighed.

" Will you tell me your name now?" she asked.

" Ichigo. "

" Huh?"

" I said my name is Ichigo. Ichigo Takahashi" He said.

Rose pauses for a moment.

"That's a familiar name.. " she mumbled.

" Well it shouldn't be." Ichigo said. He continues to play with his doll.

"Go to sleep miss, mortals need it."

He said.

"R-right. " She got up and went to bed.
