Journey Cut In Half

The bright afternoon sun beat down on two figures trekking through a rocky mountainous area.

"Lady Delju, how much further?" Kamryn cried out as she tripped on a rock for the tenth time this morning. The blisters on her feet were popping open and bleeding. She need to take her shoes off and treat them, but she couldn't do that until they find somewhere to rest for the night.

"If my memories are correct there should be a trading post up ahead. There we can rent a tent there for the night." Delju wiped at the sweat dripping into her eyes.

"A trading post?"

"Yeah, its an open market for travelers and merchants to trade on open land. There is no tax from any clans for using the land. We should be able to restock and get a good rest their for the night, at least."

"Thank the Gods." Kamryn huffed out. Her feet were on fire. The sooner she can rest them the better.
