Mikaela's mind was trying to comprehend what she was seeing. Celaena and Mika looked at the pile of metal in the chamber wondering what the hell they are looking at.

Walking further into the room, they could see a large part of the machine had been damaged by an explosion or fire. Glass from what must have been a tube, covered the ground around it.

Mikaela's mind suddenly remembered General Narbeth's story of Rychell changing into Thallan.

Using her wristband she began taking pictures of the broken machinery before moving in closer for a look at the controls.

"The air is coming in from the broken pipes." Celaena pointed at giant vent holes in the ceiling where the piles to the machine had broken off. The wind blew inside them making a eerie sound come out.
