He came and stood in front of her and pulled her chin up with one hand. His other hand snaked her tiny waist to pull her closer to him. He pressed her hard as if trying to merge her into his body. 

“You know how I yearn for you…” he kissed her lightly on her lips. “Please Lina…” he continued brushing against her lips. 

Her eyes became misty. She tried her best not to show her weakness to him but tears came unbridled.

The aircraft stopped midway to fill fuel and landed in City H past midnight. Outside the airport, Yang Xinyu's cars were waiting. Yan Xiaojun was sent home along with Rosa, while Yang Xinyu and Wu Lina went to the Sapphire bungalow. 


Wu Lina was so ecstatic to see her home that she started crying. She had missed everything about it. The past ten days had been so grueling for her. Even though she endured it all so bravely, she didn't realize that she was shaking when she reached her home. She wanted to forget all about those ten days. So many things had shattered inside her – her trust, parental love and most of all her hope for conviction. The only people she ever trusted in her life were now Yang Xinyu and the Chairman, and ironically none of them were blood related.
