He came and stood in front of her and pulled her chin up with one hand. His other hand snaked her tiny waist to pull her closer to him. He pressed her hard as if trying to merge her into his body. 

“You know how I yearn for you…” he kissed her lightly on her lips. “Please Lina…” he continued brushing against her lips. 

Her eyes became misty. She tried her best not to show her weakness to him but tears came unbridled.

After taking a shower, they left for the hospital where Yang Xinyu had already booked an appointment with the doctor. The doctor greeted but was annoyed at them because they did not show for their previous appointment. 


"You should realize that you are carrying three babies. You have to be extremely careful. This is just your first trimester and this is very crucial for the fetus formation. How could you miss your appointment Wu Lina?" Wu Lina just looked down at her feet and chose not to say anything. 


But Yang Xinyu became angry. He said, "Doctor, Wu Lina had to accompany me for an important trip overseas, and so we couldn't make it in time." 


"You went abroad without even taking permission from your doctor? This is just not done! Please follow me immediately for ultrasound. I have to check on your babies now," scolded the doctor sternly. 


"Sure," replied Wu Lina meekly. Yang Xiyu didn't utter a word after that, as he too became nervous.
