In the end, they did help Arai's parents out at the inn that summer. As expected, Ren was put to work at the front desk as he charmed the guests effortlessly. Ren sort of knew what was coming when they finally went back to their room after work and the lights went out in the main house. He wondered if he would have bruises.

They showered as if nothing would happen. Shinobu was, as usual, cool as ice. However Ren noticed that he locked the door and closed the windows.

Ren found it sweet that Shinobu was even offering. He managed with a shaky smile, "Um, well, no pain no gain?"

Shinobu chuckled huskily and Ren wondered if he could get any harder.

"Idiot."

Ren widened his eyes as Shinobu's mouth dived lower, trailing kisses on his chest and navel and he buckled when Shinobu's teeth grazed his nipples.

"Mmm…can we stay like this for a while?" Ren asked and sighed contentedly into Shinobu's shoulder.

Shinobu didn't say anything but he kissed Ren's forehead and moved slightly to make the two of them more comfortable.

Showers could wait until the morning.
