Returning Back To The Sect!
Su Jun's eyes lit up and he smiled, 'A quest? I will be able to do this one unlike the last one. Let's go kill nine more magical wolves.' As his thought concluded, he furrowed his eyebrows, "My Qi is gone…" he mumbled. 'I must have used it all up and I can't defeat those magical wolves with only my physical strength. I need the power of the whirling dragon punch and the speed of swift crane… or moving beast. I will have to wait until enough of my Qi recovers.'
Su Jun turned his head to the magical wolf's corpse and his eyebrows rose in surprise, "The corpse is glowing," he mumbled and the corners of his lips rose, forming a smile, 'In RPG's it means that it's lootable.' He walked up to the corpse, squatted down and extended his right hand towards the dead magical wolf.
Su Jun's hand touched the corpse and the corpse vanished into thin air and in its place, five objects appeared. A small round sphere with a faint glow, a skin, claws, teeth and a large piece of meat. He blinked his eyes, 'Awesome!' He extended his right arm towards the sphere. His hand touched it and several messages floated up in his head.
Su Jun widened his eyes, 'I can store and retrieve items before the martial core realm?... But it seems I can't store those tomes. So this inventory isn't the replacement for space.' He moved his eyes to the sphere his hand was touching and several lines of text appeared above it.
Su Jun tilted his head in confusion, 'Magical wolf core exchange shop?... I will use it, if in six hours if I will have enough to complete my mission—Store item.' The core vanished into thin air. He touched the second item – the wolf skin and like on the magical wolf core, there were a few lines of text over this item as well.
'This item has no use effect… I wonder for what profession it's used… Store item.' He moved his hand and touched the third, the fourth and then the fifth items, storing them all into his inventory as they were all profession ingredients without any use effects.
'I need to recover my Qi now.' Su Jun walked up to the nearest tree and sat down with his back against the bark and closed his eyes. He focused on the –
. Twenty minutes passed, 'I have enough Qi now for moving crane and whirling dragon punch.' He rose up from the tree, 'Now where is a magical wolf?' Searching for a few minutes, he found the magical beast he was looking for. It was laying down on the ground basking under the sun with closed eyes.'It's resting… Maybe I don't even need to use moving crane? I can't take that chance, if I miss whirling dragon punch, I will be screwed.' Su Jun activated moving crane, he appeared near the magical wolf, catching it unaware and punched, shouting, "Whirling dragon punch!"

The punch connected, the magical wolf's eyes widened and it's face distorted, it let out a loud yelp and flew away.

Su Jun smiled and ran up to it. He touched the corpse. It vanished into thin air and in its place, five items appeared. He stored all of them and sat down at the nearest tree, focusing on the –

Once his Qi recovered, he stood up found another wolf and killed it by using the swift crane and whirling dragon punch.Six hours passed, his stomach grumbled and the sky turned orange. He killed 18 magical wolves and in doing so he collected 190,000 system points. 100,000 from completing the quest and 90,000 from killing the magical wolves. From killing the wolves he also got 18 magical wolf cores, 18 magical wolf skins, 18 magical wolf pieces of meat, 18 sets of magical wolf teeth and 18 sets of magical wolf claws.
Su Jun breathed out and smiled, 'That should be enough. I will turn in 15 cores to the elder and get 30 contribution points. I will use 1 to unlock that magical wolf core exchange shop and maybe buy something with the 2 cores that I will have left.' He looked around and furrowed his eyebrows, 'What's taking Duan Xi so long… it already has been 6 hours… could have something happened to her?' A worried expression appeared on his face.
"Su Jun," a voice sounded behind him, Su Jun turned around and saw Duan Xi and her usual indifferent yet beautiful face. He blinked his eyes and worry disappeared from his face, "You are okay?" he mumbled.
Duan Xi sighed heavily and lowered her head, "I will tell you what happened as we walk back…," she looked up, "But more importantly did you collect 10 magical wolf cores?"
Su Jun smiled and nodded, "Yeah."
Duan Xi smiled slightly, "I see, that's good. Let's return back," she said and thought, "Perhaps he can do it..." Her face returned to normal.
"Alright," Su Jun said and they started walking in the direction of the sect.
"So what happened? Why were you gone for six hours?" Su Jun said.
Duan Xi shook her head, "I was lucky, unlucky and then lucky again."
Su Jun tilted his head in confusion, "How so?"
"At first I was lucky. I entered the forest, found the silver wolf den and returned the silver wolf cub back to its den. All in fifteen minutes of parting my ways with you… but that was when my luck ended. As I walked out of the den there they were, two silver wolfs. Two, rank 3 early stage magical beasts stared down at me…"
Su Jun's pupils constricted and he snapped his head to Duan Xi, "Rank 3 early stage magical beasts?" he shouted out in shock and thought, 'She was afraid that those magical beasts would go on a rampage if they find out that their cub was gone. So she went to bring the cub back before that happened… She could have easily died…' he clenched his teeth and fists.
Duan Xi sighed and raised her head, looking at the almost dark sky, "I immediately turned around and started to run as it was impossible for me to stand up against two, rank 3 early stage magical beasts. Luckily for me, as I was running away, I found a narrow crevice, so narrow that those magical beasts couldn't get in, no matter how hard they tried and they tried for more than five hours… after that I came to find you," She lowered her head to normal position.
Su Jun lowered his head, looking at the ground, 'I don't have the right to scold her. We are not lovers, siblings and not even friends…' he turned his head to Duan Xi, "Duan Xi."
Duan Xi turned her head to him, "What is it?"
"If you die, I will be sad," Su Jun said and turned his head back.
Duan Xi blinked her eyes, "Huh? What did you just say?"
Su Jun turned his head to Duan Xi, "I said that if you die, I will be sad."
Duan Xi blinked her eyes and slowly nodded, "Huh…"

Su Jun and Duan Xi returned back to the sect in silence and to their separate houses. He laid down on his bed and closed his eyes. He didn't get transported into the system as it was already too late and he fell asleep. The night passed and the morning came. His eyes opened and his stomach grumbled, 'I didn't eat anything yesterday… but before that, I want to unlock that magical wolf exchange shop and look at what can I even buy.' He closed his eyes and saw that he was now in the system space.
