Chapter 22: Searching

I was in the living room still. But I saw my body laying on the floor. It was like an outer body experience.

Josh noticed and pointed at the screen. Dale looked back and his eyes glued to the picture that formed. What showed up on the screen was exactly what I was seeing. Like there was a camera on my eyes or something.

I waved at them, shortly after Josh waved back.

But then I remembered what I am supposed to be doing. I need to find Sara and get her out of that shit hole place. I started walking out the house.

Evrything outside looked gray and dead. Like everything was made of ash. The sky was gray. The grass was gray. The trees. Even the outside of my house. Why?

I venture out in the woods, were I thought that place was.

I knew Dale and Josh were still watching over me. Right? I hope so.

Saying the wind felt like a cold breeze was an understatement. My arms and legs got goose bumps and my teeth started to chatter.

I did not know where I was going. I was lost in the middle of the woods. The leaves crunching every step I take. I wrap my arms around my self in an attempt to make me less cold then I already was. It barely helped.

I snapped out of my thoughts as soon as I saw that place. All my memories came back to me, making me stop in my tracks. I have to be strong.

I head inside.

The place looked the same as it did when I first came here. The lights were placed so far apart that it was dark inside.

Inside had a gray tone to it. Like the outside did. Everything was more gray than usual. Weird. I brushed it off like I did all the other times.

I still felt cold but it wasnt bad as outside.

I start walking down the hall, as I tried to make my foot steps as quiet as possible. It's small echo was loud enough to attract something. And it did.

I heard footsteps not of my own some way down the hall.

My heart started to pound. I had no idea what to do.

I start to walk faster down the hall till I found a door on my right. I hurry inside.

It was that room. The very first room I went in the first time I was here. If you remember.

I hide under the first table I see. Hiding away from whatever was coming for me. Hopefully they, or it, didnt know where I went. Hopefully.

After being under the table for a little while, no one came in.

Did it not find me? Did it not care to find me? Did it give up? Or am I going crazy. Maybe there was no one walking towards me in the first place.

I was just about to get up from under the table when someone came inside the room.
